So, you have something, a nice something that is no longer in production, can't be replaced and is a 'specialty' item though it is currently not in use. Someone else wants to use this item and to do so involves tearing it apart and then rebuilding it. Saying no gets all of your friends to tear into you and call you a bitch and such because you don't want to risk losing something that is irreplaceable. Logical?

Hey all, I know it's been ages since I made a journal post, largely because I've been so lazy and busy. :P But I'm calling out here, maybe someone can help.

Does anyone live in Galveston, or close by, or know someone who does? I will be flying out there at some point in the not too distant future to participate in the NASA bed rest study. I'll have to go out for the screening, and it'll take 1-2 weeks before I know if I am accepted and then go into the study. So basicaly, I'm hoping to find someone to crash with for a couple weeks, that's it. Any help would be appreciated, thanks!

Okay, WTF is up with this damn AUP? I suddenly feel after a couple of notes from silverwolf I'm in Nazi germany. First my desktop picture is taken down for NO REASON other than it's not allowed in the AUP which makes no damned sense at all, then, after that, I'm told No more than 3 submissions for SL. I have like a total of what, 20 pictures in my whole gallery, if that??? six of which are SL if I'm not mistaken. MY FUCKING GODS get a life!!! This isn't Nazi germany! This makes me want to leave FA and never look back. If the admins are too busy worrying about bullshit that has ZERO fucking meaning rather than quelling the drama that floats around or worrying about people posting 30 pictures of SL in one go, then there are some serious re-evaluations that need to happen, ie, the admin staff.

I found this today as I was reading a newspaper I found in a plane. I'm preaching to the choir here, but I figured some would like to read it.

DEAR ABBY: My husband and I raised our two sons and two daughters. One son and both daughters married well. Our other son, "Neil," is gay. He and his partner, "Ron," have been together 15 years, but Neil's father and I never wanted to know Ron because we disapproved of their lifestyle.

When I was 74, my husband died, leaving me in ill health and nearly penniless. No longer able to live alone, I asked my married son and two daughters if I could "visit" each of them for four months a year. (I didn't want to burden any one family, and thought living out of a suitcase would be best for everyone.) All three turned me down. Feeling unwanted, I wanted to die.

When Neil and Ron heard what had happened, they invited me to move across country and live with them. They welcomed me into their home, and even removed a wall between two rooms so I'd have a bedroom with a private bath and sitting room -- although we spend most of our time together.

They also include me in many of their plans. Since I moved in with them, I have traveled more than I have my whole life and seen places I only read about in books. They never mention the fact that they are supporting me, or that I ignored them in the past.

When old friends ask how it feels living with my gay son, I tell them I hope they're lucky enough to have one who will take them in one day. Please continue urging your readers to accept their children as they are. My only regret is that I wasted 15 years. -- GRATEFUL MOM

Those who guessed this one, gratz. I suck, I need to lie better.

3. I once saw a UFO.
This is also true. While recovering from being attacked by a dog, laying on a sofa one night, I saw an aircraft do maneuvers that are /physicaly/ impossible. I know what I saw, and no, I wasn't on medication. Alien spaceship, hybrid of human and alien ships? Make up your own mind.

4. I once pawed 8 times in a day.
This is quite true. I cannot for the life of me figure out what made me do it, but I was horny as all fucking hell that day.
