LEAVING FA (And where you can find me)
General | Posted 9 years agoAs a person who has their feet wet in code for a living, the recent "Hacks" have left me feeling quite upset about this all. On top of that, I have a pretty good idea that one of my other accounts has been hacked in direct result of what's been going on here.
I haven't been happy with the staff and development process here for a long time. This latest attack is the worst yet, but there has been so much shady activity going on here (see: http://stuff.veekun.com/fa-timeline.html ) that we as a community (and particular, we as artists) cannot continue to let this go. I don't want to continue to be part of the "but everybody else is still on FA" problem, whether I lose views or not.

How to take care of your fennec
General | Posted 11 years agoI laughed at myself a little last night thinking about this..
1) Always keep your fennec stimulated with new challenges and activities!
2) Reward your fen by giving him ear rubs/licks or even simply a pet on the head
3) A simple "good boy" will provide positive feedback for a job well done
4) If your fennec isn't listening, bite his shoulder to show who is boss
5) A nuzzle is how a fen shows their trust and love without words. They usually expect something in return.
6) Bitey fennecs are natural. Its just how they play!
In other news, I have something that will be posted in the next coming days. I'll have the picnic thing finished soon thereafter. Things are getting better with new meds and stuff, so I'm able to work relatively efficiently/well again.

Art status update!
General | Posted 11 years agoFirst off, thanks all for watching and enjoying my art. The only reason I'm here is to post things for everybody to enjoy, so it makes me feel warm and fuzzy inside when you all do n.n
Next up, you can find my active and updated worklist on my main page or by following this link here, which shows the status for everything I'm working on at the moment! It should help you all understand where I'm at with your commissions and requests and the like.
As a note, I've been a little delayed on a lot of the stuff I wanted to work on. In the last couple weeks I've been sick, got my wisdom teeth removed, had a quick family vacation, work related stuff, and then moved down to school for my last semester. That said, I'll be starting back up on art stuff this week (around the 26th), and I expect to have my current commissions done by mid September...
And a super secret surprise project! :D

YCH and LOTS of free art
General | Posted 11 years agoI've been really in the mood to draw recently. Good to keep the mind off things I guess. So with that in mind, if you screencap my 500th view or are my 50th watcher, then I'll do some free art!
Also, my YCH auction, which is listed here is ending tonight at 7pm, EST (GMT-5). I'm planning on streaming shortly thereafter too on furstream, where I may take a few sketch requests.
Finally, I've been craving me some art trades. If you're up for one, just shoot me a note!

Really sad stuff

thewolfcalledmouse, commited suicide today while I was away. She was very troubled, and I know I can't/shouldn't blame myself, but I felt very responsible for her and feel like I could have done a lot to help her better and be there more. She was an amazing artist and a wonderful girl who only wanted to help and serve other people. Her last job was at a methadone clinic to help people break their addictions. She was a beautiful human being, and didn't deserve the fate she was given.
If you're spiritual, any thoughts would be great to help her get where she needs to be. If not, the family and those she left behind need help now.
I know I've been having fun recently drawing with some of you guys and doing art... but I'll need a while to break off. Be safe, and you're all very loved

Commissions for a Cause!
General | Posted 12 years agoI've been thinking about commissions... and I think this is a cool way to give it a shot!
Here's the deal! I'll do a commission for you (as long as it abides by the rules ~here~), and you get to support a charity! All you have to do is send me proof that you've donated to a non-profit charity (by screenshot, receipt, whatever) and either a reference or a short written statement of what you'd like. This is more or less a pay-what-you-want offer (within reason).
If you're looking for some good charities, consider the ASPCA, dcrfoundation.org, http://freedomservicedogs.org/, Feeding America, Smithsonian Institution, or something else you're interested in.
If you wanna get started or have any questions, send me a note or comment on my journal!
PS- If you're wondering why I would do this, its cause I usually do some sort of fundraising charity work every year. Last year was able to raise a several hundred dollars for the red cross by live streaming some kerbal space program. This year, I'd like the furry community to be involved and have fun while I'm doing it! I'd be drawing anyway and the money I would make off it is negligible. So really it all works out! (Also there needs to be something to counter the rampant 'help gimme money' journals here >.>)

-First and foremost, I reserve the right to deny any request
-If its illegal, over a PG-13 rating, or generally untasteful... I will not draw it
-My work may be reposted by you as long as there's a link back to my FA page or the posted piece
-I'm allowed to post my work to my own galleries
-I have a lot of non-art-work to do. I would always rather see something I'm proud of rather than something I can speed through. I'll try and stick to deadlines, but if I have to pass over it, you'll be notified or other arrangements can be made.
Commission Specific Rules and Info
-Unless I've made it known to you beforehand, at least part of the payment is required up front.
-You will receive a full resolution image upon its completion
-If you're unsatisfied with my work at anytime (before, during, or after the job), then you may request changes. However, I do not provide refunds once the work is started unless it cannot be finished (in which I'll provide a full refund).

First FA journal! =3

I've been fuzzy for about 8 or so years now, but I never really did the whole 'community' thing. Recently, I've been wanting to be more in touch with the fandom and give that part of my life a complete renovation. Something so ingrained in my life deserved a bit of TLC!
About a Rileyfox-
I've always had a fox sona called thyself, but he didn't really reflect me like he used to. So I made a Riley! Riley is a fennec fox living sometime in the future. He was captured by a bunch of slavers, but managed to steal their spaceship and run off with it. Now he flies around and does spacey things! In space!
Riley is hyperactive, super curious, oddly affectionate, easily excitable, goofy, squirmy, and makes funny sounds when poked and prodded.
About da arts-
I have a lot of arts elsewhere, but when I started the reforming business, I realized the art style had to change too. So I completely broke my norms and did a lot of studying and practicing... resulting in the style I'll be posting here! Its going to take a while to fill this gallery up (college and such), but I think it'll be fun doing it ;3 If you're really into seeing my older stuff, I'll throw out a link
I don't have a lot of furfriends yet... but I really want to get to talking and meeting them ALL! So find me on Skype and say hi! If I bite, it means I like you!
