Had a bit of a rough afternoon/evening today and I just can't get it going unfortunately. I'll make up for it tomorrow with "Yesterday's Sometober Today" as per the rules.

Despite being on something of a depression fueled creative sabbatical this year, I do want to keep up my Sometober tradition! As this is the last week of September(Jesus fucking christ, wasn't it just February?) I thought I'd mention it in advance.

For those who don't know, every October for the last three years, I've done my own challenge that I've called "Sometober." Meant to be a more forgiving interpretation of Inktober, the goal is to have a presentable sketch or illustration done for every day of the month of October with the point being to consistently produce an idea and share it every day since one of the biggest downfalls for me artistically is consistent motivation and over-thinking leading to spending too much time on something.

Anyone and everyone is welcome to join me on this challenge if you're so inclined. It's actually pretty fun once you get a groove going.

Yup, that's me. I bet you're wondering how I got into this situation...

Basically, this year has been incredibly fortuitous in some ways but incredibly soul crushing in others and it's all left me in a state of burnout since, like, February. Mostly it revolves around being let go from my job at the end of last year and struggling to get into a new job through this year. To the point that I've been struggling to make art and even hiding from some people whom I don't want to spread my weird mood onto...

I'm still not entirely out of the woods but I am actively working on turning things around to close out this year. I've got the wind at my back and even if my head is still empty, I do have to try.

I just wanted to provide a proper explanation for the radio silence this year and apologize. It's all me feeling gross, not anything anyone did.

Have a happy fourth though. Even if America sucks dick at the moment, don't let that destroy your pride as an American and your hope for a better tomorrow.

Okay so today's #Sometober ended up being something unexpectedly difficult for me to pin down and I don't exactly wanna settle for good enough so I think I'll put it up for now and do another two-for-one tomorrow. Sorry about that.

Got held up and sidetracked with stuff this evening so unfortunately I'm gonna have to miss out on posting my #Sometober tonight. Tomorrow will be a Two-For-One special as per the rules.

Yeah, another Bowser day passes me by. I'd have done something, but I'm actually struggling my way through another Old WIP Challenge.

I do think I'll still do some Bowser related thing later on though and in the mean time, I'll post up some Diarchy for you guys!

It just dawned on me that I never really posted up my SRB2:Kart compilation series I'd been working on since last year.

It's called Vectoring: An SRB2 Experience and as the title implies it's a series of SRB2 Kart clips featuring primarily my main: Vex the Bubblegum Vector.

Originally I was planning to just upload the Pride art and call it a day, but I figured while I have FA open, I may as well upload every scrap of postworthy art that hasn't been uploaded here yet. XP

There's still some more stuff I'm working on and things I was on the fence over but that's enough for tonight.

Not gonna lie, I've just been feeling kinda flat and blegh the past couple months. After that mess in February I've been spending a lot of time just sitting around trying to feel more like myself. Doing little things here and there and just feeling kinda meh.

On the bright side, I'm probably the healthiest I've been in the past couple years so that's something.

But yeah, all the little doodles and stuff that people who follow me on Twitter have been seeing are all meant to be up here too and I'll try to work on getting that stuff up over time.

Without getting into a lot of detail, there was stuff that I meant to post up here and work I was intending to do but then I got INTENSELY sick.

After a week in the hospital another one recovering at home and one more getting back into the swing of things, I'm finally feeling like myself again. So keep your eyes peeled for some new stuff coming here.

Yeah, I finally decided to get around to doing that and I figure I could make it an event.

For those who don't know, this year and last year I participated in a self-made art challenge called Sometober, which was basically to sit down and sketch something of good enough quality and progression that I can post it every single day and I passed both times with flying colors.

So with roughly 60 doodles sitting around, I was stuck on how to post them up without flooding you guys out...So I came up with this: I've selected ten doodles from both years and every day I'll post up one from the first year and one from the second for a total of 20 pictures.

Why's it timed so oddly? So that the final picture lands on my birthday, of course. Not like I have any plans for the day. >_>

Anyway, keep your eyes peeled for them. Maybe if I get a good reception, I'll let the rest of the better ones trickle out over time.

Hey, I just finished my second Sometober over on my Twitter. I'd been meaning to upload some of the stuff from this and last year, but I wasn't sure how to go about it.

I'm thinking I'll just pick my favorites from both, like ten from each and post those up. Would you guys be interested in that?

Thought I'd give a bit of an update on my situation.

........I'm just chilling.

Seriously tho, I did eventually get my tablet running propperly again and I feel I've really broken in my new PC by this point. With the addition of a beefier graphics card, I can run a shockingly large amount of games and emulators and just general programs that my old PC struggled with.

Other than that, I've been trying to get my act together art-wise, but the groove I was beginning to develop before the switchover was completely thrown off. You can check out my Twitter for some small doodles if you want, but it's mostly just reaction images and the occasional chicken scratch doodle.

Thank you to all the people who have watched and faved my work in the mean time. I didn't mean for there to be such a big gap between my art, but sometimes life just pisses on your wife. :V

And of course, given the recent events happening in America and considering the fact that I am myself a gay black man, it goes without question that black lives matter and gay pride matters. I'm not any kind of fighter beyond having a sharp tounge and I personally despise having to tangle with heavily political situations but seriously, something has to change now and fast. I and I'm sure hundreds of thousands of millions of other Americans are tired of having to be terrified of our existence being snuffed out by some jackass with a badge, an axe to grind and the power to take it out on whomever they wish. Terrified that the good ol boy in the MAGA hat at the grocery stoee may be packing heat and decide to jump us because they think we're parasites. Have to second-guess wearing a shirt with a rainbow on it because depending on where we go, we could get executed for the crime of being born different. With nature itself aiming to wipe out the lot of us, we should be unifying together to resist it, not aiding it.

Open your hearts, open your minds, wash your hands, keep a safe distance from each other, wear masks and take a moment to look outside yourself. That's all it takes to get through this shithole of a year, alright?

As of yesterday, I officially have A NEEEEW COMPUTER! WHOOOOOOO!

Yes, after nearly a decade, I've finally left my old computer behind and moved on to a newer PC with some help from  KopyKat

Thus far, thanks to some pre-planning, I've been able to transfer the majority of my needed files without a hitch, but I have my old computer nearby just in case I need anything.

Now I just have to get my tablet to actually function correctly. >_>

It was a bit rushed, but pretty cool overall. Very nicely done with an important message about self-care and mental health. Now that it's all over, I think I'll rest for a bit.



I almost feel bad that I won't be able to make these journals anymore.....Here's another for the road.

It's a new decade people. This last one sucked major ass for me. I suffered through a lot of heartache and loss and was brought to my lowest point, but as I exit the decade, it's with my head held high with hope for an upswing!

Lots of stuff I had planned to do this year ended up canceled or postponed just because life happens, but I did a lot more than I expected and what I needed to get done got done. On top of that, I pulled off SomeTober without a hitch, which was a big achievement for me. (By the way, I still need to post up some of those sketches I did for it. I've been postponing it.

At the dawn of this decade, I want to begin casting off the chains and blocks that I found myself trapped by. To that end, I'm actually hoping to work on something a bit special today. Wish me luck!

Where the HELL did this year go? Seems like a blur. Didn't get very much I wanted to do done, but I did get a good deal of the stuff I needed to get done done.

I'm not going to spoil the specifics of it for those who are avoiding it because that would be a dickish thing to do, but I will say this: Outside of Machoke and a few second tier choices, they managed to strategically exclude nearly every pokemon I found interesting. So unless the leak is fake, I will have literally no reason to pick up SWSH.

I try to produce a sketch every day, no ifs ands or bootycheeks. I've been drawing a lot of the chubby goodness but also trying to toss some curve balls in there.

So Steg becoming a thing led to a somewhat minor boost to the popularity of my Steven/Greg fic Universal Appeal. Being such a niche pairing(Especially if you don't have the stomach for shota) seems to have worked in my favor for once.

It was pretty well put together. The songs were okay. Overall, it was a pretty good production.
