Small 2025 update | Commissions to Re-open Soon

I'm not really one for journal updates frequently, and I've reduced my online presence a fair bit because of burn out / fatigue. ME/CFS still kicking me around a bit but it's been manageable and I've been able to draw a bit more than I have in quite a while and getting back into the swing of things. I'll still probably keep a bit of a low profile online for a while longer and focus more on myself, my health and relearning to enjoy my art / draw the way that makes me happy and level it up a bit more!
I have been recently looking for work, but part-time jobs that are compatible with my disability in my region have been nigh impossible to find and while I do get some support from a benefit, extra income would be a godsend and hopefully a way to get some independence back / not be reliant on a system that has become more broken and spiteful towards beneficiaries over the past year.
So I'll be looking to re-open my commissions again soon in the next month or two once I have updated examples (because it has been a while!) and if it goes well, hopefully on a permanent or semi-permanent basis. I'll not take on more than 3 or 4 per round, and see how that goes so I wont get bogged down with wait-lists or owed work in case of health flare ups. But yeah, that's all I have for you right now, I'll make a proper journal and post for when commissions are open again but figured I'd give a heads up in-case anyone is interested or has been waiting for news on them.

Posted 2 years agoBeen weighing up about doing this for a while now, since I no longer like going by Ryzakier and my art name is RylisinArt everywhere else, I bit the bullet and made a fresh FA account with my desired username. I was going to wait for the name change option, but it's been promised for a long time with no update? Also inspired by a mutual of mine, and since I'm in the process of getting Ko-Fi and Cara fully set up it works out. I can upload older works and have frequent updates for a bit while I work on getting things sorted in RL and have some new art to share with you all.
