No More Cons
Posted 2 years agoDue to a lot has changed in this fandom since I first got in it, I more than likely won't be doing any more furcons or any other types of cons. I got in this fandom because I like animals and anthro animals. But people don't seem to care about that aspect, especially those that fursuit. As I see it, most people, when they dress up in a partial fursuit, don't understand the concept of covering up their skin, with either Under Armour or something similar or with clothes, I don't want to be a apart of something where people are only in it for the popularity.
I'm not into "poodleing". People who do that, unless their character calls for it, like Anubis, then I no longer want to be in this fandom and won't be going to any cons, especially when they tell you at these cons that it's alright to do it. If it's hot and you want to where a partial, then wear some Heat Gear Under Armour and cover up the skin. Most animals have fur and don't go around showing skin.
I know most people won't like or even care about this journal and you know what, do whatever the fuck you want, I don't give a shit. I probably won't be on this website much longer, anyways.

Living in Illinois now.
Posted 4 years agoSenko and I are now living in Illinois. We moved here almost 3 weeks ago. Finally got internet, so I can use the computer. It's been good here so far. We are still going to MFM on Labor Day weekend and we will be in Indianapolis for the week of my birthday, next month.
Poodling, WTF!!!!!
Posted 4 years agoI'm not one to complain, but if anyone doesn't like what I'm about to say, you can unwatch me. I don't care. This is in regard to fursuiters. People who wear fursuits. I noticed since this pandemic is almost over and more people are out and about, doing various things. I noticed some furmeets going on, but seems like people forgot to fursuit. I noticed in pictures that people are showing skin. That is not the way to fursuit. Cover everything up. If it's too hot or you have health issues, then don't fursuit. When I say cover everything up, I'm not technically talking about just wearing fursuit parts, but wear clothing. Do you realize how stupid you look when skin is showing while in fursuit? I been in this fandom since August 2007 and got my first fursuit in 2008 and still have it, so don't say that I don't know what I'm talking about, I been around long enough and I never seen people poodling when I first got into the fandom.
MFM, Here We Come
Posted 4 years agoI guess the title says it all. My spouse and I's last convention was FC '20, when we still lived in Fairfield, California. In July, last year, we moved to Minot, ND. Since the pandemic was still going strong, we haven't been to any cons. Due to unforeseen stuff,
got a job in southern Illinois, where he has been basically living since November. At the end of next month, we will be moving to Marion, Illinois, where Senko works and is now living. You are probably wondering what this all has to do with MFM. Well, nothing really, but we will only be a four hour drive from the MFM hotel, that is closer than Pittsburgh was to Rochester, for Anthrocon. We are both registered for the con and hotel reservations all set. We will arrive in the evening of September 2nd and head back home on September 6th(Labor Day). We planned on going to MFM a couple weeks ago, but now that everything is all set in stone, I was able to make this journal.

Happy Anniversary
Posted 4 years agoIt's been 7 years since we got married and it still feels like day 1. I love you and am very grateful to have you in my life. If it wasn't for you, my life would be so boring and uneventful. We have traveled a lot together and been thru thick and thin. I can't wait to move to Illinois to be with you, again. Always and forever, my love. You will be in my heart, no matter where I go.

In North Dakota, now.
Posted 5 years agoLiving in North Dakota now. We made it here 2 days ago, apartment is great. Lots of space. A 2 car garage. We put some of the stuff in there, so Senko can return the moving truck, early. I will gradually be bringing stuff from the garage to the apartment. We have a third floor apartment, so have to go up and down the stairs. The garage isn't far from our building. Senko will be gone for 2 weeks for schooling, for the new job, so I will have to chill here until he gets back.
Everything is all set.
Posted 5 years agoApartment in ND is all set, we put the deposit down and it is ours. The moving truck is reserved, so we just have to wait until it is time to load the truck up. Last time, it took us two days to load the truck up, hopefully we will be able to get it done in one day, since we will have some help. It's a bigger moving truck, not that we have more stuff, but it's what they had available. So we should have plenty of space for our stuff. We told this apartment manager to have someone do a walk thru so we don't have any issues later on. That will happen on the 26th and then give him/her our keys and parking passes. Then we head to ND.
A New State, A New Start
Posted 5 years agoSenko and I secured an apartment in ND. We did a video tour via the manager of the apartments. Now we just have to reserve a U-Haul. Senko's last day of work will be July 24th and if everything goes right, get the moving truck the next day. We will have a friend helping us load up the truck, so hopefully get it done in one day. Head out the next day and will probably get to our destination in two days or less. Probably take us two days to unload, we will also have a friend meet us there to help. On August 2nd, Senko has to head to Signalling School, out of state. He will be there for two weeks, so I have that much time to get the apartment organized.
This apartment will be the biggest one yet, for us, over 1,300 square feet, 3 bedrooms and 2 baths. All the appliances included with a washer and dryer inside the apartment. This apartment will be on the third floor. Also a balcony. I'm excited to get this apartment, Senko paid the deposit on Tuesday, so they will hold the apartment for us.

We're Moving
Posted 5 years agoYep, we are moving out of California. Senko found a better paying job in North Dakota and advancement in a company, which he did not have here in Cali. Late next month, we will load up our stuff in a truck and head to ND. There isn't much more to say, but that.
Going Away
Posted 5 years agoI found out a few weeks ago, that an old friend from NY is living in Arizona now. So, Senko and I will be heading there this weekend. Hope to get some pictures. Won't be home until Tuesday night.
Skype
Posted 5 years agoIf anyone has me in their Skype contacts, you can delete me out of it. I no longer use Skype since they want you to have a Microsoft account, which I don't have. So, I will no longer be using Skype.
Grand Canyon Trip Cancelled
Posted 5 years agoNot going to The Grand Canyon. The lay-over hotel room we had in Vegas got cancelled, last week. We can't drive there in one day, so the trip is cancelled.
On other news, Senko has a job with Canadian Pacific, so we will be moving to Minot, North Dakota in August, just before the lease ends. I will have to get used to being in the cold, once again and we will have to find a place to live and get the hell out of California.

Bucket List/Grand Canyon
Posted 5 years agoHello, I know it's been awhile since I wrote a journal. Here we go. I have two things on my bucket list, "things to do before you get too old to do them" type of list. One is to see The Grand Canyon. Something I always wanted to see and marvel over. Second, is to either go to Alaska or go on an Alaskan cruise. The icebergs and scenery that I've seen pictures seem awesome.
As for the first one, I will be going to The Grand Canyon in April, with my spouse. We will be driving to Las Vegas on the 16th and stay there overnight. On the 17th, we will drive to Arizona and do the things that
senkolke wants to do. We will stay at a hotel in Williams, Arizona, on historic Route 66. On the 18th, we will go see The Grand Canyon, since it is National Park Day, admission will be free. I will be bringing my fursuit, so I can get some great/grand pictures. We will head back home on the 19th, a Sunday, so Senko can go back to work on that Monday.
As for Alaska, I'm not sure when I will go, since Senko has no interest in going.
I did go to FC in January and had a great time. I look forward to my next con, which we are keeping it hush for now.

A Decade in Review
Posted 5 years agoFirst of all, I can't post this on Facebook, because of my family. I will try to remember what I can, for the past 10 Years.
2010: I received my Sabre fursuit, at AC '10. A little over a week after getting this fursuit, a "friend" of mine decided to set my house on fire. Then for 2 years after the fire, I had to live with my Christian brother and his wife.
2011: I went to California for the first time and went to FC '11. I also went to AC '11 and went to FF '11. and went to Trek's place for Christmas.
2012: In the Spring, I went with Trek to Cooperstown and to the Baseball Hall of Fame. I went to AC '12, where I met
senkolke for the first time. Also did a rooftop photoshoot since I wasn't going to AC next year. I also moved back into my house, even though it wasn't finished.
2013: I skipped AC this year, I went to MFF for the first time and roomed with
Bradhound and Senko. Had a good time and met my fursuit maker for the first time. A month later, Senko stayed with me for Winter break from college.
2014: In May, Senko moved in, after graduating. A month later, we got married. AC '14 was our honeymoon. We stayed at The Doubletree. Senko couldn't work yet, so I was the head of the house, but I was having trouble paying all the bills, since I was the only one who had income coming in. Senko did get a good job in November and managed to get a new car.
2015: We were both working, but was too late to pay on the mortgage. Later this year, we moved out of the house and Senko got us a nice apartment. We did go to AC '15 and I believe we went to MFF '15 and took the train there. Went to FurPoc. also. We also did the Rock And Roll Hall Of Fame in September, I also left the Wegmans store and transferred to the East Ave. Wegmans, sine it was in walking distance. I was also in a different department. For the end of the New Year, we went to Fire Storm Six's bash.
2016: By the end of this year, the house got sold in a short sale. I was still at Wegmans, but got back on Helping Hands. We went to AC '16, MFF '16. We also went to Boston, The Corning Museum Of Glass and visited my friend Dwaine in Canada.
2017: Big changes happened this year. We did go to FE '17, AC '17. We went to Hershey Park in Pennsylvania in August, for two days. We also went to Montreal for a few days in early November. We did move to California at the end of November, beginning of December. Packed up a moving truck and drove across the country.
2018: We went to FC '18 that year, on the spur of the moment. It was pretty cool, but they were located at the actual convention center this time, not at the Fairmont Hotel. We also visited San Francisco in the Spring. My first time there. We also went to the Redwoods in late May and they were pretty awesome. After being in Vallejo for 9 months, we had enough and Senko found us an apartment in Fairfield, down the street from the mall. We were able to get everything out of the storage unit and into the apartment.
2019: We went back to FC '19 and had fun. In June, for our fifth wedding anniversary, we went to Fort Bragg. Had a great time there, especially Raider in the water. We went to San Francisco, for Record Store Day and almost got everything I wanted. Late November, we went to Vancouver. Drove up thru Northern California, Oregon, and Washington state. It was pretty cool and I mean cool there. I brought Raider and got a few pictures of him.
I can't remember everything, but I hope you enjoyed reading this. Have a great 2020 and in the future.

Anniversary and Fort Bragg
Posted 6 years agoLast weekend, I spent it with my best friend and my spouse,
senkolke. We went to Fort Bragg, California and celebrated our 5th Wedding anniversary. Hard to believe we been married for five years. We have our ups and downs, but we are still together.
I guess I have this fandom to thank for it. I never would have thought about marriage or even gay marriage would be in the cards for me. Sadly, no one in my family even knows I am married or even gay, for that matter. I can't post stuff like this on my Facebook page.
But yeah, last weekend we went to Fort Bragg and I had a great time, with the ocean and making videos and getting pix done. On the last night there, we celebrated on the beach, watching the sunset. It was beautiful and I am glad to do it with my spouse. Spending my life with the one I love, I wouldn't ask for anything else. Yes, there is nothing perfect in a relationship, you just have to work it out and move on with your lives together. I guess if I never found the fandom, back in 2007, I would probably be living my life, being miserable and alone. So, I guess the fandom is the best thing to happen in my life and I never found out about it until I was 39 years old. So, you young people have it made and I hope you find that S.O. in your life and be happy with that someone.
I been married for 5 long years and are probably the best 5 years of my life, unless you count the time I went to Disneyworld in 2000, lol

Not into FA anymore
Posted 6 years agoYeah, I don't do much of FA anymore. I mainly post pictures on Facebook. In fact, I have done what I call, Sabre Sunday pictures on Facebook, for over a year, now. Unless I am looking for something, I mainly go on here just to delete stuff of people I watch, maybe faving one or two things. So, I go on here maybe once a day, to do that and I am gone.
My Flickr Account
Posted 6 years agoI am in the process of closing my Flickr account. A new company bought it last year and is just charging too much for a Pro account. So,
senkolke is helping me download my close to 8,000 pix off of there. It will take awhile, been doing it for over a month, now. I will use it for name parking and I have stuff in my faves on there, but I will eventually have no pictures in my account.

Further Confusion.
Posted 6 years agoJust to let you guys know,
senkolke and I will be at FC this year. We have our hotel room and pre-reg all set. We will be there on Thursday evening and staying until Monday. Senko has to get back to work on Tuesday.

Just a reminder.....
Posted 7 years agoI will be leaving the country(Continent) for the holidays. I will be going to Argentina with my spouse.
senkolke. We leave on Wednesday, the 12th and return home on the 28th of this month. I won't be able to check my FA, so Merry Christmas to you all.

Remember when I said I was leaving the country?
Posted 7 years agoI am.
Next month I am going to Argentina to visit my in-laws.
senkolke and I will be leaving on December 12th and be back home on December 28th. We will also visit some friends down there. It will also be summer there, so my Christmas will be in summer, not winter. I won't be online during those days I am gone, so I will have to check all my inbox stuff when I get home. I hope to have fun, even though the culture is a big difference from here.
Next month I am going to Argentina to visit my in-laws.

A month at 50
Posted 7 years agoWell, been 50 for a month now. I had a non-fur friend come visit me for my birthday, last month. He stayed for about 12 days. Went to Bend, OR. and the next weekend, we went to San Francisco and checked out the Pacific Ocean at Goats Rock Beach. My friend left to go home on Oct. 1st. Just about every weekend we go somewhere. Maybe Vacaville, Suissan City or one of the other surrounding towns.
This pass Saturday, we walked to the car dealership to get Senko's car back. He had to bring it in on a recall issue. Took us just over an hour to get there, but the walk was good exercise. On Sunday, we went to Lagoon Valley Park. Well, part of the lagoon was disappearing because of lack of rain and very warm weather. There was another park right next to it that had more of a historic effect. A very small park that was more interesting than the previous one. After that, we went to Nut Tree Plaza to the World Store and picked up some stuff there and went to lunch at Rock & Brews restaurant in Vacaville. The place was a combination of Hard Rock Café and a sports bar in one. The food was really good. After that, we just went home via Walmart, for shopping.
So, not much going on, but we seem to get out more than we did in Ghettoville...........I mean, Vallejo.
Why I Don't Post Pictures Anymore
The reason I don't post pictures on here is because they use an old system here and for some reason, even when the picture is rotated properly on my computer, the system here rotates them sideways and my pictures don't post correctly. This is why I might not be on FA much longer, plus, I'm getting bored of the furry fandom. People just aren't interested in talking to some 50 year old fart. I don't push myself to talk to people cause I know people just aren't interested in talking to me. I'm also boring.

Bend, Oregon and my Birthday.
Posted 7 years agoThis Saturday will be my 50th birthday. Yep, half a century young. So, I have a non-fur friend coming here on Thursday and staying until Oct. 1st. On Friday morning,
senkolke, Christian and I will head to Bend, Oregon and check out the last Blockbuster rental store. We will be in Bend until Sunday. It's about a 7 hour drive, up north. Just need to find out what to do on Saturday (my birthday). I saw some parks listed online, maybe check those out. I will be bringing Sabre and Raider there, so I can get pix and/or video of them.
I will NOT be on FA for the weekend, since I don't have a working laptop. If you want to wish me a Happy Birthday on here, Saturday, be my guest, I will look at them on Monday.
