Posted 14 years agotoday we where talking about stupid things a teacher had said when we where in school and i remembered this:
"Now take the Vasaline, and smeer it librally, dont be scared to use to much, uses your fingers it get it in the hole and...'
my Transportation teacher told this to one of my class mates how in re-install a part on a another teacher car, i forget what it was, but i almost peed myself laughing, he never did finish telling us how to install it, just handed us the book (which had almost the exact same but instead of saying Vasaline, it said lubricant) and walked away beat red.
Do you have anything funny you remember from Highschool?

Posted 14 years agotoday i made some yummy, chicken and bell pepper stem buns with spinach and green onions, they where good and really filling!
Igot the rescipe off of youtube and the buns are sweet and soft.... but i did manage to burn myself with my improve stemed (a drip tray thingy for burgers my mom had in a roaster so it sat above the water level that was put on the top of my stove)
After the potstickers i made a couple weeks ago even my brother is starting to like my impulse cooking :P

your friends and what they will do
Posted 14 years agowell today i found out the kind of guys i work with, and for the most part I was surprisingly poud to work with them.
We hire pretty much anyone who shows up when we have interviews posted, and sometimes when we aren't, and i've been there for little over a year. I've come to be one friendly terms with some of the night shift when i work with them once a week on a wednesday night shift, and today i found out that some of them are reall worth being called a 'friend' if only for the time we've spent together at work.
We have a continues banter going on, like yelling for the others to shut up and we constantly yell things like your stupid or Ugly, at eachother, and they have adopted the nickname 'Wikipedia' for me(since i'm full of useless fact they just assume is wrong till they check it out), it's a strange work place friendship but it's been forged out of 12 hours shifts on the busiest night of the week.
Well today during my shift one of the new guys, (and when i say new i mean he's only been there for about a week) though that since they get to do it, he would also take cracks at me, saying that he smelt something funky when ever i was working beside him (the guys informed me repeatedly i didn't smell besides the smell of the ink we work with but we are all covered in the smell) and calling me names and making rude justers at me when he tough no one could see, I've grown up being bullied, harassed and one more then one occation i've been assulted but someone who thinks i won't fight back because i'm a calm person, but one of my coworkers took alot of offence to this, and finally called him out on this, telling him he had no right to make comments about someone like me, he was being rude and he should apoligize.
the new coworker precessed to tell him that who is he to tell him who's wrong, that he was only doing when they where doing and started screaming that he was a bitch, and that he would talk a out me how ever he wanted, and told him if he didn't like it he's take him outside. my friend was calm about it till he started he would talk about me how ever he pleased, and then he got pissed, telling him if he didn't want to be repectful he'd take him outside and show him to show some repect. this lead to a fight, that me and one of my female coworks tryed to cool down before fist started to fly, and when we want on break the new guy stormed out of the building, (he's on the opposite shift to us that starts 2 hours later so he was ment to be working at the time) then come back in to talk to the boss about it, we could hear him yelling at her about it. she said she's look into it, but never came to talk to anyone so we figure she's just going to let him go since this is the 3 fight he'd tried to start last night.
One of my other coworkers i've become friends with, said afterwards when he heard about it said something along the lines of 'good riddens to fucken trash.'
well i'm not pleased that they where almost to the point of fist, and if that would have happened i probably would have lost a friend at work, i'm glad to see that there are still some really nice people out there.
On the way home, me and my coworker talked and he asked me if i was ok, asked me if i knew when he'd ment about the smelling, which i did, but like i told him was just ignoring him, and he processed to tell me that if the punk shows up on monday night (their next shift) he's going to kick his ass, saying that i didn't deserve people talking shit about me.
It's good to see that sometimes i've made the right friends out of some rough but fun times.

Posted 14 years agoI saw this going around and thought i'd give it a try. I think it's pretty accurate, but What do you guys see?
Curious
You like to get to the bottom of things. You're not content knowing what someone did; you want to know why they did it.
You don't simply take things as they are and move on; you're not content skimming along on the surface; you don't feel you're wasting time by digging for the meaning of things.
Unflappable
You are not a slave to your emotions. It takes a lot to upset or unnerve you. That's why you're a good person to have around in a crisis.
You don't let it all hang out, which means that those around you often don't know the pressures you're under or what you're going through. You're not the kind of person people run from in a crisis.
Innovative
You come up with a lot of ideas; if one doesn't work out, there's always another waiting in the wings. You often have interesting solutions to difficult problems. You're practically a one-person brainstorming session.
You are less interested changing the world than in dealing with things as they are. Unlike those who spend all their time trying to solve problems, you prefer to zero in on things that work and stick with them.
Aesthetic
You appreciate art, beauty, and design; you know that they are not superficial but absolutely crucial to living the good life. You have good taste, and you're proud of it. Those with a high score on the "aesthetic" trait are often employed in literary or artistic professions, enjoy domestic activities — doing things around the house — and are enthusiastic about the arts, reading, and travel.
You don't think it's pretentious to be moved by art and beauty. You're not one of those who believe it doesn't matter what something looks like as long as it does its job.
Creative
You are good at solving problems, coming up with original ideas, and seeing connections between things, connections that most other people miss. People with a high score on the "creative" trait often are employed in such fields as finance and scientific research, and enjoy avant garde and classical music as well as literary fiction and scholarly non-fiction.
You do not shun abstractions and concepts in favor of the concrete and tangible.
Accessible
You're comfortable expressing yourself in words and actions, with no self-censorship. You believe that if someone doesn't like what they see it's not your problem, but theirs. A high score on the "accessible" trait suggests that you have a lot of friends, socialize often, and enjoy rap/hip-hop music.
You don't see the need to keep your thoughts to yourself, or to have a zone of privacy that encompasses only yourself and a small circle of friends and relatives.
Understanding
You are willing to take the time to find out what's going on with other people, especially if they're in distress. You're a good listener, you don't criticize, and you offer unbiased, respectful, honest advice when it's requested. With a high score on the "understanding" trait, it is likely that you are enthusiastic about charitable work, helping others, and making the world a better place.
You don't feel the need to impose your standards on others or say things that, even though true, cause pain.
Organized
You like to think a task through before you embark on it. If it's the slightest bit complicated, you make a list (even if it's only in your mind) and methodically work your way through it. When you have a goal in mind, you're not satisfied until you reach it.
You are not one of those people who ignore the details, and you don't understand how anyone can get anything accomplished without thoughtful planning ahead of time.
Astute
You are a quick study. You generally don't need to have things explained to you more than once. When presented with a problem, you will often have an instant understanding of where to look for the solution.
You do not take your sweet time when presented with a new task to complete or problem to solve. You don't avoid assignments that require you to learn new skills.
Intellectual
You are thoughtful, rational, and comfortable in the world of ideas. People find you interesting to talk to. You're the living embodiment of the saying "You learn something new every day." In general, those with a high score on the "intellectual" trait are employed in such fields as teaching and research, and are enthusiastic about reading, foreign films, and classical music.
You do not avoid abstract conversation, experimenting with new ideas, or studying new things. It bores you to stick to the straight and narrow of what you already know.
