Anthro Con 2013 Late Journal and Midwest Furry Fest
Posted 12 years agoThis is a late journal regarding the Anthro Con convention and other activities that have been going on with me:
It was a nice Anthro Con 2013 for me. Meet some new fur and old fur friends. Pity allot of the regulars whom I normal see there were not there. Seems like allot of fur didn't attend this year. May be it had to do something with the theme or just life took them into other directions. It was nice rooming with
and Mate 
But I need to get a room next year where I can sleep on a bed. I slept on a blow up mattress for the past 2 Anthro Cons and spending 3 or more nights on a blow up mattress takes some much out of my night sleep. Therefor next year I need to plan accordingly and get a room with a bed.
Right after Anthro Con, two major things I need to do. First was to move into my own place near work. Traveling hour to and from work everyday was taking its toll on my body and car. Second there was a BIG Voltron Tee shirt contest I got involved.

I was runner up with most of my designs, sadly I didnt win. The contest holder saw his vision with a different design. This seems to be a case of Déjà vu for me. Back in 2012 I was a runner up for a My Little Pony Tee shirt contest on We Love Fine. With contest didnt win. But I am not going to give up on doing these contest!
With these contest happening and major things happening with my move I have falling behind on my commissions and art work. For those who I owe commissions I offered their money back. Which I have mail one check out already. Still wish to complete these work, but if my customers want their money back I will oblige them.
I wanted to go to Midwest Furry Fest, sadly I am going to have to forgo going to the event. Due to things at work are into the holiday rush. I work with a company that makes neon clocks and a large orders and renditions need to be completed by me. Additionally, my graphic design coworker has been ill repeatedly and her work falls upon my shoulders. This seems to be another case of Déjà vu when I wanted to go last year and the fellow Furrs from Ohio I was going with dropped off the map. I dont want to go to an city where I dont know the lay of the land and dont have a crew of furs I am spending time with.
Thats the one thing I dislike about the fur cons. When you find yourself at this big event by yourself. Its happened to me at Anthro Con a few times. But this past Anthro Con when it happened I promise myself not to let that happen again. With Midwest Furry Fest coming up soon and I don't have a crew to go with again, it is for the best I dont go.
I seen in alot of journals that furs I have watched are admire their work are going. Wish them a wonderful time at the event. It is for the best I start planing for the next one. Hopefully I can go to Furry Weekend Atlanta or Furry Connection North. If I want to go I need to start some big planing.
Regarding the Midwest Furry Fest, the price of all that need to spend to got to the event and I really havent planed my art work well for the art show or doing commissions is going to set me up for failure. Its sort of like spending the money for a Playstation 4 and not having the money for rent next month.
Big thing for 2014 is I got invited by some friends to go to the big San Diego Comic Con. I seen so much about that event how it seems to be a BIG hub for all things related to media. Spend my money and time Preparing for that event. Majorly I want to work on my Animations more and see which companies I can leave a demo Reel. Plus I am working on a Cosplay Rocketeer too. 2013 First posting and Update
Posted 12 years agoHello to everyone who is still watching or started watching my art account on here. I know it has been almost 7 months since I posted anything on here. I feel really bad about it. As of right now, March 1, 2013, I am back to get involve on here and to take care of things that need to be done.
When I came back on here I saw I had over 2,000 messages of journals and art I had to go through. Normally, I would say to heck with it and delete them all. Instead I spent the past few days going through the art and journal postings. Have to say many artist who I watch on here have improved allot. Great job you guys! Through the journals I found a lot of you are getting married. Holly cow, seems like everyone around me is getting married these days.

As for me I was dating a non-fur for these past few months. We recently broke up before Valentines’ day. It was one of those long distance relationships where you get to the point where both parties lives are going in different directions. I have no ill feelings towards her, it was nice while it lasted.
Also last month my Grandmother died on 7 of February. She was 89 years old and was a big part of my life and my families’ life. Sad to say with her passing has brought out the worse in everyone in my family. I seen this twice in my lifetime, where someone passes and everyone drops the act and turns into a big jerk.
As for art commissions I woe. I will give you all a full refund of the money you gave me. I am sorry I took so many and didn’t work enough to a tight schedule to get them done. Send me a Note or Personal Message on here and I will make arrangements to send you the money through PayPal. Added note I still want to work on the art for the clients for free. I feel I woe those commissions that much.
Drop me a line and chat with me. I sure as heck need to talk to good friends again.

Posted 13 years agoSince AC its like I been playing catch up. Last week I was able to go to the movies to see Prometheus with 
Film I wanted to see before it was out of theaters. It was enjoyable flick and I most likely would get it on blue ray in order to here the directors commentary.
Besides taking on the commissions from Anthro Con. I got some website building gigs that take high priority. But I will be putting some time to get all these commissions done. I like to thank you all for sticking with me on these.

triard is acting as head PR for the Brony Con this weekend. http://www.bronycon.org/contact/ He also ran the MLP meet and greet this year's Anthrocon. As much as I enjoy the show I would have know idea what to do at an event like that. I hope it goes well and maybe I check out one sometime in the future.
BTW a new hot diggedy demon movie came out. I hope this guy has or will work with the creator of Ren and Stimpy (john K) someday!!

This Anthrcon I had a lot going on this year, with doing artist ally, art in the show, visiting friends, making new friends, and doing commissions. It was nice that :icon lexxiscavenger: was my plus one for the art show. Good time to chill out and look at other arts. I was able to sell some of my art in the show. May be next year I will try to work on a few art submissions instead of some many this years.
The events going on AC were nice. I had a good time at the Lion King meet and great and was able to connect with old friends and make some new ones. Looking forward to communicating with

Patches I hope to chat with you guys more and see you at future conventions.
I was amazed how much my minimalist badges took off. I considering next year making buttons or Tee Shirts of this style. Gotta thank : kitty23icon: jasanni

With all the commissions I have to do my computer and hard drive decided to act funky with me. So it was me turning my computer on in off hoping thing would work out right. Then right after the event it started operating normally. Bellow this journal is my commission list I have so far and my status with them. With my workload this summer I will get to all of you. Just gotta be patient. If I missed you on this list please email me the details of your commission.
The only down fall about AC this year is I wish I would of made more time for friends and hanging out more. Since I got some good PR out their on me now, may be next year I can do a bit of both. I hope to go to FA United or MMF this year. But that depends on my work. Thanks you all once again!!

Anthrocon 2012 14 days and counting
Posted 13 years agoWith Anthrocon coming up within the next two weeks. I want to get some commissions lined up for this event. I am doing single and couples, adult and PG, and my AC convention badge with a minimalist design of your fursona on the back. My goal is to have at least 10+ commissions before the event. What is a Brony and am I one?
Posted 13 years agoFor the past 2 years My Little Pony Friendship is Magic (MLP FIM)has made its mark on Flash developed TV shows and on the world wide web. When I came upon it for the first time I was amazed about how much thought and creation when into developing this project.
What others have created using MLP FIM as their subject is also amazing. I have done some fan art related to it; My Art Deco Rainbow Dash Poster (http://samohtlion.files.wordpress.c.....inbow-dash.jpg) and Pony Traveling stickers (http://samohtlion.files.wordpress.c.....urgh-logos.jpg ). But creating items like this, watching the show, and watching fan edited Pony Vide on You Tube, dose that make me a BRONY?
Any who I wanted to share some MLP FIM related videos from the wonderful world of the Internet. Here is a vide good example of how I relate to MLP FIM from a comedy group on The Escapist Magazine website (http://www.escapistmagazine.com/vid.....5306-Pony-Time ).
Here is a neat combinations, this will sound wonderful like Peanut butter and Jelly or horrible like Nazi riding Dinosaurs. MLP FIM music mixed in with the Gorillaz. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HS3hvIgTepQ and http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NDfz.....p;feature=plcp Playing these while I am running or drawing is been a guilty pleasure of mine. Pittsburgh Toonsuem Drawing event "latex and Fur"
Posted 13 years agoThis past Monday at the Toonsume Dr. Sketchy Anti- art-school drawing event (AKA Drink and Draw) mentioned that they would be doing a drawing event on June 15, during Anthrocon. The theme is going to be latex and fur. Besides having some fur suites for the event, a special model will be attending their. They didn’t mentioned who and tickets haven’t gone for sale yet. Tickets for this are normaly 10.00. I recommend keeping an eye on their website till they post a link on how to buy tickets. http://toonseum.org/
Anthrocon 2012 Room Situation
Posted 13 years agoThings are in the green for staying at Anthrcon. I found a friend who needed a 3rd roommate and I canceled my room at the Westin. This will be my first time at this event not staying in that hotel. It might be a nice change and I dont have to worry about that elevator line craziness.

The Lion King Rises
Posted 13 years agoIf you haven’t watched this parody video yet, I highly recommend you watch it! Best editing video editing to Lion King as a Batman film, watch it now!
Is Lion King and Batman share the same idea of the story of Hamlet. If you watch the 2008 Gotham Knight Batman Anime with the commentary, Kevin Conroy the voice actor who plays Batman/Bruce Wayne, talks about how Batman is similar to Hamlet. That Hamlet and Batman Bruce Wayne are taking revenge for the terrible murder of their father.
That idea hung around my head for a while, then this other crazy idea popped in my head about the Lion King and Batman Begins. When Batman/Bruce Wayne and Ra's Al ghul are training that and Ras’s says to Batman/Bruce Wayne. “Your parents death was not your fault. It was your father.” Simba and Batman/ Bruce Wayne feel this heavy guilt that they are responsible for the death of their parent. What if was the Parents fault that they lack the will to act.
Mufasa saw the warning signs that Scar wanted power and disliked his son. But he failed to act on them to fix the problem. The only conclusion to this is going to be his death. Its just an idea…..
