Hello all!!!

I just recently got my 'new' bamboo fun set up with pen pressure (why are the drivers for these things always such nightmares ughh), but NOW the pen won't 'reach' the whole screen when I have Sai open- the right hand side (where all the tools are) and the bottom of the screen are inaccessible and blocked off.

Some things I have tried:

- rebooting
- reinstalling the tablet driver
- Changing tablet screen area to 'monitor' from 'full screen' and making sure the tablet's area is 'full' instead of 'portion'
- changing the DPI settings in SAI's properties (high DPI scaling override)

I am running windows 11, and I will say that the most recent OS available to select when running the compatibility troubleshooter in SAI was Windows 8... does this matter?

If you have any other ideas, please help! I was so overjoyed to have pen pressure back after MONTHS of not having it and not doing digital art, and now it's really frustrating to be having another road block -_-;

Hey y'all! Whoever is still around? I just moved back home and am slowly getting settled before I start a new job. I am wanting to get back into the art scene more and more as my life gains stability. Figured a good start would be going through my inbox! Hey all! I am really wanting to do more digital art, especially if it can get me some extra money in my pocket. Since moving for my fulltime job, I'm realizing that this field is not meant for single/single incomed people to succeed. I work my ass off for minimum wage (as I'm sure a lot of you do) and with my bills/living paycheck to paycheck there is really nothing to put in savings for any sort of emergency (I usually have to pull out of my dwindling savings account to make my payments). Even money to help me fill my gas tank would be helpful.

THIS BEING SAID I am just interested to hear from those of you who actively commission artists- what sort of pieces are you interested in seeing? YCHs? Sketches? Finished works? And for thoae of you who collect adoptable, what species are you most interested in seeing? I feel like my work needs sone more direction, and if I can cater that to my audience then that would be helpful to me as an artist.

Its been a long time since I've been here, this feels so nostalgic and surreal. I miss the art scene. I miss using my laptop and drawing with my friends and watching movies. I miss being a good and reliable friend. I feel like I've dropped off the map, adulting is hard, I miss you all.

I know I have some old art to take care of, and I apologize so much for the wait. I will take care of those asap as well as doing some lil extras as a thank you for your endless patience. My goal is to be posting again at least semi-regularly, even if it's just sticky notes doodles.

Hey all, I'm gonna be trying to get active again here, I've got over 9600 submissions to sort through, so I'll probably be combining the mass scrap and favedump strategies...

What has everyone been up to?

Whheewwwww I had over 3000 submissions to sort through, and I've gotten through about a third of that now- you guys have been pumping out art like crazy! I need to get myself back in the game, and so I'll be opening for commissions pretty soon, as well as uploading some of the things I've been working on- so keep an eye out if you've missed my art!

Hey all! I've been away for a while, been busy with RL stuff and doing more offline, which has been fun! That being said, I miss this community and having digital art jams :'< I've been pretty distant towards my online friends, but not due to depression or anything. Things have been going pretty well for me- I recently moved in with a friend of mine and her husband + baby, and have been busy helping with the kid and house stuff in exchange for cheap rent. It's been nice to be in a low stress environment and out from under the co-dependence of my mother. I love her dearly but she has to see that she can't rely on me for everything.

Hey all! I had a lot of fun with Goretober prompts and I'm finally getting around to uploading what I've got so far. I know, I know, the month is almost over! I really jumped around with the prompts and some I skipped altogether, though that's not to say I didn't ink SOMETHING... This month for me was more about being productive in general, and I have to say that I did end up drawing/inking more consistently than I've done in a loonnng while, so that was great! Some of them are more finished than others, Some I WANT to color but I'm not sure if I'll get around to them.

I am sad that I didn't get around to hosting an exchange this month (or this summer....)- been kind of going through a lot and trying to get my shit sorted back out again, but things are slowly starting to look up. That being said I'm shooting for my usual Holiday Art Exchange this year- I don't wanna get skunked altogether!

How've you all been? I feel like it's been a while. I hope you all have a safe and fun Halloween! I'm visiting my dad and forgot my tablet pen...wuh, but I'll probably end up having a quiet night in with pumpkin beers, sweets and Netflix.

How has everyone been? I feel like I haven't said anything in forever, I hope you're all doing well.

I'm working on getting back into art, so if I owe you something, don't be afraid to send me a note and check up on progress. It's been a rough time lately and I haven't been drawing much, but I am going to finish everything I owe!

You heard it here first, Samyena and Clammy (onionsandleeks) are teaming up to bring you some awesome collab commissions! I'll be doing the sketching/coloring while Clammy will be adding her amazing inks!
What are we offering? All kinds of things at all kinds of prices! Everything will be fully colored with flat shading.

The breakdown goes like this:

Headshots (make great icons!) $20
Portrait (Shoulders up) $30
Portrait (Knees up) $40
Full Body $50

Simple characters may be cheaper (such as an all/mostly white character that requires minimal colors) and complex characters may have additional charges, but these are the typical prices.

We split the earnings down the middle and all proceeds will go towards Clammy's trip to come visit me next month! It'll be our first time meeting and we have some fun things planned! With your help we'll make it the grandest event of the season! ;;
