State of things

I've had an harsh summer, full of worries. We had human healt scares, and one of our dogs got sick. But all seems to be better now.
I've restarted working on the commissions booked before my hiatus, and i should be able to reopen in a couple of weeks. If you're interested, stay tuned. I'll announce the reopening here and on bluesky and telegram, that are the only places i update regularly:

Commissions closed until late fall

I'm having a severe burnout due to several things, mostly good but burnout is burnout. Also, these last 2 years i have had a few misbehaving clients, something that never happened before in my many years of working on art. So I'm closing commissions after my actual queue will be finished.
I need some time to breathe. Many things happened to me these last years. I'm starting to dislike drawing and this is not healthy, the last time it happened, when i left art school, i stopped being able to do art for literally years, and being art the fuel to my life it would be harsh on me.

Also, I'll probably have some pics in the art show at EF - only the art, I won't attend, but I'll write more when this will be fully organized.
I'll keep posting of course but it will be more sporadic. I know that disappearing it's risky in these times of having to be constantly producing CONTENTS, but honestly, I'm ready to take the risk.

Almost end of the year journal
Posted 11 months agoHey all! Hope you're well, or at least well enough. These are surreal times, a bit too historically interesting for me to be honest. But I'm ok.
I'm working on the last commissions of the years, i already have the queue opened for 2025.

I hope to have December free, then I'll restart working on January. It has been a good and very productive year art wise, and I'm very happy.
In other news, I'm working on a personal archive site, because galleries and socials are definitely aleatory in this time of history. I'll (slowly) upload everything i can there and cross my fingers it won't be hacked and destroyed as it happened to sinnerdragon dot com

Regarding bannings

Ruki has been banned by FA admins. That's complete bullshit, cause Ruki's art has pedo/beast feelings only inside their heads. I've been on fa a long time, I'm a monthly subscriber and i often donate because i believe in fa, but if the trend is banning people out of personal whims i could stop and eventually leave. Good riddance you say but, 
fender, many other people could do the same, and remember that without the community, you're nothing. This place exist because of you but also because of us. Fa was born because sheezyart did the same error of bigotism, and collapsed. I have seen many communities killed by admins personal whims.
If you can't think outside your own ego, don't be an admin.

Radio silence
Posted a year agoDear everyone,
I'm slowing down commission work for a couple of weeks. Also, I'll probably be radio silent next week, cause we're having some extensive works at home.
Our ceilings were damaged by heavy rain last year cause there were holes in the roof, and we live on the last floor.
No biggie cause we were repaid, we keep living here cause the condo is well administered, but we need to repaint and sanitize the whole house, and we're hiring a pro to do it. Also, we're emptying most part of shelves from our humongous quantity of books so they can move these around.
My working station will be scattered around so I'll take most part of week off, probably I'll work on a few traditionals if i can, but I'm not sure.
So if you won't hear from me don't worry, I'll be hidden amongst boxes somewhere. Looking forward to be back, in a freshly painted office 💕

At this point, august 8 2024, i have slots booked until more or less the end of September.
If you book a slot now you'll be contacted around that time and as ever, you'll receive a pose sketch and pay after approval.
Note: I realize this method sounds risky but it's good to keep my anxiety low (cashing money in advance would make me anxious and possibly rush my work). Until now i had no big issues and if everyone behave, i see no reasons to change it, so be good ;) )
Prices stay the same of 2023 for now:
- Watercolor sketch (300 dpi scan), 1 character and simple background 40 euros. Addictional characters 10 euro each

Eurofurence 27 and commissions reopening

My Eurofurence experience ended, it was so good, and inspiring. I saw lots of beautiful art that gave me new inspirations and ideas, the fursuiters were simply amazing and so friendly! The dealers were something I've never seen before, everything they sell is inspired by passion and you can tell there's no assembly line plastic here.
It was literally overwhelming. I met some very nice people, it was a such a pleasure, and I really enjoyed the whole calm, accepting mood of furry cons I had only heard about second hand, before. I really appreciated that there were people of every age, and with the ageism that surged in the last years in the fandom, it was very refreshing. I didn't feel out of place a single moment.
But, alas, I also wish it was nearer because attending it's VERY expensive (and tiring), living so far away, and i don't think I'll be able to do it often.
I sold four paintings, not bad at all for my first con, but i doubt I'll ever be able to cover my travel expenses selling my works.
But i definitely want to do it again, someday.

I'll be at EF 27 this coming week, with ten paintings on show. My very first official convention, and first show in at least, uh, 30 years! I had a couple during school years, and these were some dingy affair, I'm pretty sure this one will be way better, should I have some attention or not XD
I'm pretty agitated cause you know, places with people! Lots of!
But I'm also very happy to be there, if you cross me, feel free to say hi :)
Around the half of September I'll open some slots for October, so if you're interested, I'll announce the opening here, stay tuned!

The whole X mess
Posted 2 years agoIn the chaos following the umptillionth bad move of Musk, renaming twitter as X cause he's got more money than you and HE CAN, it seems the online artist world is disgregating again.
There's a perception amongst the younger internet users this is a new thing, but in fact is not.
Everything on the web gets old quite fast, and it's always been like this. The difference, imo, is that now, with new algorithms, it's easier to lose sight of people even if they are on the same platform. It's a nasty game, this time, and it will damage lots of people that relies on their artistic skills to gain money (me included, but I'm lucky enough to rely on art just for a small part of my income).
I won't lie, I'm getting tired of all of this. I'm one that has always had interest in using socials, but honest, lately is just becoming a freak circus. Its embarrassing. It feels like a bulemic binge of new platforms, and none of these really work.
When Twitter will sink i guess I'll not jump on another train this time. I may change my mind obviously, but I'm tired. It's not that i have ever made numbers there, i loved the interaction i got and i was mostly there for that.
I have a few contacts that you can find here, and my idea right now is to keep these, and just these:

I'm closing the queue now, because i should have slots booked till August at this point.
If you have requested a commission before today, you should be in the queue:

I'll then decide if I'll reopen, depending on how Eurofurence goes, because as many other i have fiscal limits.
Reopening will be announced here and on Twitter/Mastodon, if any of these sites will still be there :D

Summer is here, and I already crave for Autumn.
Speaking of Autumn, I'll be at Eurofurence Art Show this year! You'll find my works exposed there from the 3rd to 7 September

It's my first convention ever and I'm really curious about it. It will also be an occasion to visit some family that lives in Hamburg so i won't probably be there all the time, but if you see me and want to say hi I'll be glad ^^
Commissions: i still have a few queued, till around the end of July, then I'll see if I'll reopen immediately, or after the convention. Stay tuned!

Commissions are still open, and the waiting time is around two months, meaning that if you ask a commission now, I'll be able to contact you around the start of July (time may vary, though).
Should I get at the end of the queue with no further requests, I'll open a round here, but only in that case, so if you want one, feel free to contact me sending a pm or a message on Telegram at SansSouci72 because it's not granted I'll open new slots.
