New dog
Posted 2 years agoWe have a dog again. His name is Max and he’s a year old chihuahua mix. He just came home today. Mom woke me up a couple hours ago and said that there was someone she wanted me to meet. She and dad were out doing errands earlier and came home with him.
Birthday! And news from last month
Posted 3 years agoToday is my birthday! I'm 36 now!
Didn't post about this last month, I'm rarely on my computer now and I didn't get to doing this when I checked the site on my tablet that day, though I did think about it, but we no longer have a dog. Bonnie was put down a month ago, on November 11th. She hadn't been feeling good the past few days before then, wasn't eating much, and threw up a bit. She was 14. I was going out that day and my parents left for the vet with her about the same time, but I did get to say good-bye before we all left. When I got back home, she was gone. We're going to get another dog eventually, but it will most likely be after the new year.

New cat
Posted 4 years agoWe have a cat again. My mom's friend was looking to rehome her cat, so me and mom went down to meet her yesterday to see if she'd be a good match. She's a medium hair calico, or a medium hair with a calico pattern, anyways. She's also pretty funny. Got to see how she is and how she acts, and her favorite things to play with. She seems to like bags. She came home with us when we left, in her carrier, along with her toys and other things she liked. We named her Lucy. She actually had many names, but mom settled on that one. She's in their bedroom and doesn't want to come out. Our house is bigger than her previous home. She hissed at Bonnie when mom moved her carrier close so she could sniff, but we don't know how she is around dogs. It's good to have a cat again. Felt strange to not have one around as I've never known not having one. It will probably take her a while to get used to the place, and Bonnie, so I'm not sure when she'll feel comfortable enough to leave the bedroom, but she seemed like a good match to us. She's about nine months, so we have a young animal again. An older kitten, but still a kitten, in a way.
Happy New Year! 14 years on FA
Posted 4 years agoHappy New Year! 2021 was... a bit worse than 2020 was. A lot more things happened, anyways. I got vaccinated, first dose in March, second in April, and booster exactly a month ago. Mom got cancer, had surgery in April, exactly a week after her second dose of the vaccine. Dad was the last one to get his vaccines. I was the last one to get the booster. I got a new phone, a new tablet/iPad for Christmas, two new Pokémon games, and another one's coming out near the end of the month. Didn't do Special Olympics at all, and not really sure if I will go back to it, even though I liked doing it. The final thing that happened in 2021 was us losing our last cat, two days before my birthday. We're surprised she lasted this long. We're going to be getting another one eventually, probably this month. Feels a bit strange to not have a cat around, as we've always had at least one, and I grew up with cats around. There were two when I was born. We had six at one point, but it went down, and eventually ended up with just Sparky left, and she lasted a long time. Second cat to reach 21.
Today also marks 14 years on FA for me. Not much else to say about that.
Hopefully 2022 is better than 2021 was.

And now for something a lot more happier...

... *Sniffles*
Posted 4 years agoOur last cat is gone... she passed away about an hour ago... in my mom's arms as she was giving her a bath. She was dying, and we weren't sure if she would make it to the end of the year. She wasn't doing too well. She was also 21.
14 years, no Special Olympics, and update on family news
Posted 4 years agoBit late in the day for me to post this, but today makes 14 years since me and
c-prime met. Not much else to say on that other than it's still going.
I'm also... not doing Special Olympics this year. Practice has already started, started last month, but I'm not so sure. The head coach and another one retired and it's not really going to be the same. When my dad asked me if I wanted to do it this year, I said yes, but after he said two coaches retired, I wasn't so sure. I mean, I like doing it and missed doing it last year, but... I think I'm losing interest. I've been doing Special Olympics since I was nine, starting with gymnastics, then I got too tall after three years, and swimming since I was eleven, but... yeah. Maybe I liked doing it as it was routine, from what my mom said.
Also, an update on the family news from two months ago. Mom is cancer free. It looks like the surgery got it all. She found out about a month or two ago.

Family news...
Posted 4 years agoI don't know if I should even post this here, as I don't really share personal stuff, but I did something similar about six years ago, and... I'm a bit scared.
I just found out that my mom has cancer. She called me into her sewing room a few minutes ago and told me that she was diagnosed with uterine cancer. She said the doctor thinks it's early, and she's going to have surgery on April 23 for a hysterectomy, and she says it will hopefully get all of it. My sister knows about this, my brother doesn't, but he will be told soon. She's also going to have a Covid test three days before the surgery. She said she hopes she'll get out the same day and won't have to stay in the hospital. I did a journal about six years ago when she went to the hospital for gall bladder surgery and she stayed for a few days, but hopefully she won't have to stay this time. My sister is going to come here and work from here on the day my mom goes to the hospital. The news has left me feeling concerned and a bit scared. I don't really know what to think about all this.

Happy New Year! 13 years on FA
Posted 5 years agoHappy New Year! 2020 was... probably one of the worst years for a lot of us. The whole pandemic didn't really affect me too much, though I couldn't go out three days a week any more, one of those was shopping, which my parents now do for me, and the other two turned into Zoom meeting three days a week, but I couldn't do Special Olympics because of it. Kind of disappointed about that, as I really like doing it. My sleep schedule is all over the place due to all this, and was normal for a little while, then it changed. I couldn't go out to eat for my birthday, but I still had ribs.
Today also marks 13 years on FA. Don't know what else to say about that.
Here's to a much better 2021 and good riddance, 2020!

13 years, and update on what's going on
Posted 5 years agoToday marks 13 years since me and
c-prime met. Bit late on posting this due to the time, but things have been a bit... odd lately, and my sleep schedule is a bit weird. Still going good, though that's probably the only thing that's going good this year. Not sure if I should put this in a journal about something happy, but I might not get to this otherwise.
Well, so much for a good 2020.
The whole pandemic hasn't really affected me too much, my days are still the same, though I'm not going out three days a week anymore. My sleep schedule is a bit weird now, as I'm going to bed in the late morning/early afternoon, sleeping all day, and getting up when it's dark. My sister did get tested a while ago when she wasn't feeling well, but it came back negative. If it didn't, her boyfriend and son would of also been tested, and all three of them are at a higher risk. My brother is also at a higher risk, and his job is also high risk, and so are my parents, though theirs is age related. I'm the only one in the family that's not at a higher risk. Also, due to this whole thing going on, there's no Special Olympics this year, so no journal this month about it, and no journals next month about it, and the State Fair and Balloon Fiesta are also cancelled. Don't really go to those anymore, but they're cancelled, the first time they've been cancelled, that I know of. Mass gatherings are banned, and Special Olympics count as one as there are hundreds of people, and about as many athletes, at the meets.
We're also down to just one cat. Lost one around October last year, she wasn't doing well, another in January, he was about 19 and in kidney failure, and one on April first. He had stopped eating, wasn't doing well, and he couldn't even stand when I visited him one last time to say good-bye, before I went to bed. The one we have left is about 18, but she's still doing good. Looks and acts like a younger cat, but she's still old.
I also finally got out of the house two weeks ago, had a dentist appointment, and also last week, for a much needed haircut. Mom made me three masks and I got to try two of them out. She made several of them. Before that, I had not been out of the house for three months, and my hair was bothering me as it was getting in my eyes. Last time I went out was in March, before we had cases here and everything shut down. Shopping is still done weekly, but I'm not going anymore, so it's just my parents doing it.
I'm still doing good through all this, doing video calls twice a week, might go to three times a week, and I have plenty of things to do, so I'm not bored. My days are just... late. Not really that happy about no Special Olympics, as I like doing it, but I'm fine about it. I'll do it next year.

Happy New Year! Twelve years on FA
Posted 6 years agoHappy New Year! 2019 was a great year for me. The vacation trip I went on in June with my parents was fun. Saw a lot of wildlife, went on a few land tours, land excursions... one of them being with huskies and I got to hold some really cute puppies... there was one part of the trip that I didn't like, it was way too loud, but overall, it was a great trip, even though I couldn't come on here or IB, and had difficulty getting on F-List/Chat, and Discord, though Skype seemed fine, after we got on the ship as the internet there wasn't that great, but it worked for the trip, and was well worth what we payed for it.
Today also marks twelve years on FA. Not much change. Still haven't put up anything new, but some sprites will get updated when I get to them. Working on a kind of big project involving my sprites, and some will get updated as I work on it. Cleaning up Pokémon icons that were ripped from Sword and Shield, the quality of them is bad and I'm cleaning them up so I can use them for spriting, which is going to take me a while. I'm only doing those that got big icons in Sword and Shield, those that already had them from the Let's Go games will be left alone, as I already have a sprite sheet with them, all the Galarian forms, and all the new Pokémon.
Here's to a great 2020!

Results of State Swim Meet
Posted 6 years agoSwim Meet was good. Two silver and a gold.
State Swim Meet
Posted 6 years agoIt's that time of year again. The Special Olympics State Swim Meet is Saturday, so I'm leaving for Farmington Friday and coming back Sunday.
Like last year, I'm bringing my laptop, so I'll still be on FA, IB, F-List/Chat, Skype, and Discord. Again, I won't be able to get on as long as I normally am, but I'll still be on Friday and Saturday.

Vacation!
Posted 6 years agoI think it's close enough to when I'm leaving to post this.
I'm going to Alaska next week! We, me and my parents, leave on the 5th and come back the 16th. First time in many years since I've been on a plane, and the last time I went, many years ago, I didn't have any electronic, so... I don't know how this is going to go. Going to Seattle first, then to Fairbanks. A good amount of the trip will be on a cruise ship.
I'll be bringing my laptop, so I'll still be able to check on FA and IB, and I'll also be on Skype and Discord. However... I don't know how often I'll be able to get on. I'll be gone longer than when I go to Farmington, but I might be more restricted for internet time here than I am there. The connection probably won't be as good, but I'll still be getting on when I'm able to. Also bringing my 3DS and my Switch and I'll try to get my Switch connected,(Mostly so I can still do Fortnite; I don't care about what others think of it, I like it a lot and it's fun. I don't really play to win, I'm not really that good at it, I'm not competitive, I'm also really bad at building, but it's fun, and one of my favorite games.) but the connection might not be good, though I'm still doing it anyways. Won't be able to game with anyone, though.
Packing started yesterday and will finish on Tuesday. Going to do a lot of fun things while I'm out there, and the trip will end in Vancouver on the 16th, where we'll fly back home, probably going the same way we took going there, to Seattle first, then back to Albuquerque. We're going to get in really late, after 10 PM, Mountain time, but I might still get on after unpacking.
Don't know how this is going to go, but from what we'll be doing, I have a list of the things we'll do, it's probably going to be a lot of fun.

Happy New Year! Eleven years on FA
Posted 7 years agoHappy New Year! 2018 was a really good year for me. In October, it had been a year since I got my braces off, and I switched to just nights for my retainers, so they aren't on all the time, except eating and doing my teeth. They're only in while I sleep now. Also had a great State Swim Meet with getting three gold medals, and a lot of other stuff happened. It was a great year.
Today also marks eleven years on FA. Still haven't put anything new up, only thing that really happened was updating one of the sprites for making extras for it, but that's pretty much it. Don't know if I'll get to putting up anything, either pictures or more sprites, but I don't know. Might put up something of more facts about Sapphire and hir family, but I don't know. What I do know is that this year is going to be better as there's a trip planned in June. I'll go into more detail about it as it gets closer, but I'm going to be going to Alaska. Don't know all the details yet, but it will be a cruise ship, land tours or something, and we'll be flying there and the trip will end in Vancouver, Canada. Going to be fun.
Here's to a great 2019!
