Commission Rant
Posted 5 years agoOk, so I wanted to make this clear for future commissions and such, since I had experiences with this many times this year from different people, and I usually try not to make rant journals about commission stuff unless I really have to.
If i'm asked for a commission, and it's something I clearly say "i'm uncomfortable with" PLEASE respect that, and please don't treat me like i'm the only artist in the world who has to do it for you because reasons. There's things I don't draw that many other artists will do, just look for those types of artists who does the things I don't draw. Just because something unfortunate is happening for you, doesn't mean you should try and shame me and try to manipulate me into drawing something for I don't agree with, like a guilt trip scheme, especially after me telling you I don't draw that stuff way before you asked art of me. When ppl try that on me, it looks like they're wanting to break me from going by my standards to make themselves feel superior, and I don't appreciate that, especially when they're aware of what they're doing violates what I said and find humor in it lowkey.
"No" means "No". I try to be respectful in this all the time but when I try, people keep trying to kick mud in my face and disrespect me, then ppl look at me complaining about it as being bad when I get fed up of situations and become mean, not realizing what happened before it came to that. If losing commissions or commissioners is my punishment for sticking to being myself, i'll gladly go this route. I'll pick being unpopular and happy with what I draw for profit over being popular for something I do just to make money and be unhappy and uncomfortable with what i'm drawing. Like if someone asked me to draw something intensely immoral, like something anti-semetic for 5k$, i'll gladly decline it. But yeah, rant done.

Posted 5 years agoWhen I hit 1k Watchers, I will do a 5 winner Adopt raffle. This Varies to all my adopts, not just one category. You will be able to trade them off only or gift to another, not for resales. So when that time comes, i'll prepare adopts to be given away and do the raffle by number, so if someone posts "1" first, you comment under their post of the next number, that type of way. :D

How is everyone doing?
Posted 5 years agoJust checking up on my watchers, friends and other ppl interested in this journal. Quarantines etc is still going (which doesn't bug me really since I work at home/arting anyway). So, I never got a chance to ask how is everyone doing during these past few months through all the chaos? My most worries about this is cats being most vulnerable to all this more than any other animal as I read, and i'm the type who takes care of a few strays. (poor babies).

Using a new pen size for linearts.
Posted 5 years agoFor about forever, well since i used SAI.... I been using sizes 10-12 pencil sizes. I discovered my art looks better with smaller lineart, so lately i been using 7-8 sizes instead, and coloring lineart in that size looks so much better now, and I was advised to draw with smaller lineart a few times in the past, can see why now. Tbh, wish SAI paintool had a text feature, it's frustrating having to do text in MS paint all the time.

I thought it was a big egotistical before to make a group based on myself, I can't decide if im gonna make it as a only-me posting or make it into an art group, but then again, that beats the purpose of it being my art group lol, but this is somewhere you can contact me/get my attention fastest.

For buying over 15 adopts from me, and some commissions from me (some pending), in like the last few days, which is a record ever that I ever sold that MUCH of art in general. It's always appreciated to see people enjoy my artwork, even though sometimes I doubt myself even (Typical Artist issues in general.)
I thank God most for bringing anyone to support my artwork as well, giving appreciation to those too. This is my job afterall, and I enjoy it. It's great to have a job you want in the end. Since ones I been through was horrible, and full of backstabbing co-workers and such.

Posted 5 years agoStart making Pokemon Fusion adopts that come with previous or next evolutions? Would cost more yes, but I wonder if people would like that idea. Like if I made a Pokefusion of Sceptile/Salazzle, would you want their previous evolutions made like that too in some way also, like Treecko and Grovyle mixed with a Salazzle also, so the adopt has a full evolution sheet to the pokemon fusion. Let me know!

When you realize.... (ED)
Posted 5 years agoNot sure if this counts as a Callout or anything because it's based off a Wiki basically, not directly at a person.
ED (Encyclopedia Dramatica) has been shut down, the bash encouraging site that had me harassed deeply on all my art/pages online from 2007-2011 lol. Well, was about time.... and I didn't notice this til now. They've bashed me art in so many ways and photoshopped works, and pics of me and posted it on a Wiki on there along with telling me to kill myself, and how horrible I was in artworks. Thank you God it's been shut down, I mean, sure, the harassment stopped for me long ago, but im happy to see it's finally got Karma-ed back, and I don't see any signs of my wiki anymore on the internet, feels good.
My Old DA Account was the target of this drama most. It all started on Furcadia, and Furcadia the game itself is cancer, the ppl on there are the reason that Wiki was made and contributed to by backstabbers. Also, never play it, it's full is assholes who manage it.
There was people who stood with me no matter what the odds, and there was other people who pretended to be my friends, just to gain info and material off me to contribute to the page, even some really personal stuff, there was even addresses posted on there also, almost accurate to my living place. There was people who would send me messages of racist remarks, death encouragement etc. They was the reason I didn't trust posting pics of myself anymore online because almsot everyone I interacted with, was a chance for them to be apart of the ED bandwagon, and I didn't like trusting ppl online in general, preventing me from making actual potentially real friends.
What I learned? Leave it in God's hands to take care of evil in your life, and I also learned to be null to racism and insults thrown at me especially, now I just laugh and go on my business if someone tries to offend me with racist remarks, I can 100% take racist humor now, so I grown a backbone for that, and be being perma banned from a game full of Toxic Staff, and a lot of toxic people was a blessing disguise, because it was hard for me to quit on my own. Racism/Insults is only as strong as you make it in the end.

Cellshading methods.
Posted 6 years agoTook me sometime to get it but I finally got the concept of it finally, for so long I did it so horribly. So now I seen why artists colored/shaded their works grey first, before I didn't get no exact answer to why they did it like that, but it makes cellshaded a lot less of a pain than I originally did it, better to shade and to cut/erase shade spots to bring out the light source areas. It also helps with general shading as well. As I mention in the past, i'm one of those slow improving type of person so yeah, I used to hate cellshade works because it looked for horrible in the end imo, but im glad I finally conquered that. :D

Posted 6 years agoFunny thing of the day: When someone you don't know, or never talked to you, vice versa... has you blocked on other art sites of theirs, yet out of nowhere..... watches you on here of all things, and that was before I checked the alternative pages. My thoughts are "Who does that even?" Ironic twist of events indeed. (I returned it, might as well lol.)

Kinda sucks when people refuse to follow your procedures to join your server though I'm glad I did have help in making it so randoms can't just join/see what's going on without some identification, or note of who they are where are they from online (Like FA, DA etc). The method I use now makes it so people can only see my channels, chats etc if I accept them there/give them the member role. I wonder if anyone else is dealing with a mass amount of randoms joining their servers like this week, it's been wild.

Posted 6 years agoKinda Pokemon-adopt idea block so i'm going back to some adopts I made back in 2017, even in 2018 that I made that I wanted to redo, 2019 ones might be super slim chance but possible. When I see some old designs i made, I cringe you can say. I won't delete their older design/look but it won't be counted with the newer look as part of buying etc, will be discontinued/labeled sold but a revamped version has replaced it and such. So look out for them. =D

Posted 6 years agoOk so as a reminder, if I havent mentioned, is on occasions my adopts go fast, instantly at times even, and I see people comment missing the adopt etc of that nature. Please remember you can just ask me for a commission/custom of the pokemon you want instead, then you wouldn't have to worry about racing to snag new adopts I make LOL!
Ironically, I originally made adopts to pass the time til I got commissions but it soon became the main focus of my profits instead, which is ok also. Only difference between the customs/commissions is I usually don't offer holds on those, gotta be ready to pay for them and such since customs are more on the commission side of things, so yes! :D

Making another Pokemon fusion idea journal, I like the idea of mixing pokes together without using the generator, the usual, because I prefer them more unique that way. Me naming them might come semi close to it though, without me realizing it since I don't use the generator, only seen it a few times in the past. So what pokemon are you wanting fused? Can even mix pokemon with some digimon if wanting also, but I only can go so far with them since most of their concepts are Machine or overly complex for my taste atm. I wont take every suggestion but i'll try to take an amount, also, make sure to let me know if you want it shown to you first before I post it for sale on my artsites, well usually it's posted on my discord first for a bit before that next phase.

I set a time to get each art pic done in or within a week. If something comes up that will delay time, I will let you know and sometimes things come up where I can't respond back right away (Like blackouts etc), please be patient. If you're a slow responder that slows down the process of the commission time I set and takes longer, then that counts as a fair extended time excuse, life happens also.
Please don't rush me also, messaging me every hour about a commission or trying to make obviously impatient gestures to me in messages (like on Discord) is annoying, I can see if I don't respond to you in 2 days or something. (Also, btw, ppl who wonder how I get my commissions done faster, occasionally due to boredom, I MIGHT start art commissions while waiting for your note or responses, so yeah, WIPs are usually done if you take longer to respond back to me...this is a bad habit if the commissioner changes their mind LOL.)

Prices are based on the commission difficulty for all 4 quality types. The more detailed/characters in a commission though, the more time it takes to finish. Headshots, bust shots etc aren't out yet, characters drawn in art are usually full bodied (With some exceptions, like character being in water, or something infront of them etc.)

PAYPAL ONLY. My two options is Pay whole before commission or pay half before it, as I make things more convinient this way. If half, you MUST pay the other half before I color the work, aka when the Lineart phase is accepted. I can send invoices or you can send me the payment, either is fine.

I do only 4 types of coloring qualities for my artwork; Flatcolored, Cellshaded, Shaded Lineart, and Fully Shaded.

I draw anthros as a majority, but my personal preference works is human and kemonomimi. I draw things within limits. I don't draw what other ppl want that goes against my beliefs and standards to become popular, rich etc. Don't guilt trip me either, I will block you.

Full refunds is only allowed before I draw the final lineart (aka pink WIP Phase). If a scam happens, I will recycle the character in some way for profit, such as an adopt, design etc, the person will be blocked perma and exposed on my Discord server/beware groups . Only had this happen once.

Customs and Designs, are a fine line between an adopt and a commission. I'll do them gladly, I don't limit myself to original stuff only, fan etc OCs welcomed!

Just please DON'T send notes about a fetish in explicit details Aka telling me how you want your character's feet to be on another etc, just ask if I draw something specifically. I might possible decline your commission if it's something I don't support, or too complicated to draw for me. Don't try to shove things down my throat either, if I say no, then it's a no. I will say it politely as I can.
