For the past two years or so the number of people that support me hasn't grown that much and it seems like offering early access to my art and votes for my monthly polls isn't really helping me grow.

Been almost a year since the last time I made a YCH, but I've lately been thinking about the idea of having a big bad pred use his belly as a cauldron and eat a bunch of preys as if they were ingredients for a potion. Which brought me to create this YCH.

It's done. I have 100% finished University, my thesis defense was a success. Got an A and the numeric score was 99/100, which means I am a professional phox now!

I will finally get some time for myself, and one of the things I can't wait to draw is some commissions. I have a few pending drawings first but expect to see some commission slots open next month, perhaps even sooner since I have to pay some graduation fees and the sooner the better.

Been spending the last 6 years in university, naturally, my art and other personal interests had to remain in second place during all this time, as I put a lot of effort when it comes to my grades.
Tomorrow I'll be defending my graduation work and if I pass I can say goodbye to University for the forseeable future. I can't wait to break the curse, 2022 was a pretty awful year for me with how all-consuming was putting together my graduation work, I would even guilt-trip myself for doign things I enjoy rather than spend that time working on it. I really need to pass so that all that effort has been worth the hastle.

So please, wish me luck! Aproving my defense means that I will finally be able to open commissions regularly and have the time to draw things I'm personally invested in.
I could also use some time to take care of myself, given't that I have not been doing a good job at that lately.

The reason I decided to do this YCH to get funds for my glasses is because if there are any defects with lenses bought abroad, shipping from Panama to USA or pretty much any part of the world for a replacement is very hard, so I'm getting mines done here. The eye doctor recomended me to get blue block and UV transition so that's something I'm gonna get as well

I thought about making a journal about this but was doubtful about doing so, but I think it is time to talk about it.
I need new glasses and don't have the money to pay them.
Last weekend I noticed that my sight had gone very bad and I started to worry, because a week before that my sight got another downgrade, and a month before that it happened as well. Point is over the course of the year my sight, which was pretty okay (I use glasses already, been doing so for like 5 years) has gotten bad in an incredibly short period of time. I'm at the point where on my right eye I can see only 30 cm before things start to get graduably blurry. I have an appointment with the ophthalmologist next week to see what kind of glasses I will need. Las time I bought glasses they costed me like 200$ or so if I recall, but now with the post-covid inflation I have no idea how much I will likely need to pay.

What can I do to get the money for the glasses? I already owe 3 drawings, I can manage that, but having to take 3 to 4 or more commissions to get to pay for them is unfehasible for me right now on account that I think doing all those comm streams is likely one of the things that worsened my vision.

I'd be happy to listen for suggestions please.

Not only do I plan to do the graduation work (either a thesis, field work or professional portfolio) in that timespan regardless of how long it should realistically take, but I also have to do 100 hours of social work in order to be eligible for graduation.

It's been good to know that you guys are confortable with my regular schedule, but honestly after pondering about this for long, it is time to admit something: finishing drawings with my current art style is too draining.

I've been having the same commission prices since some years ago, back then the reason I took so much time to finish one commissioned drawing was because I was still learning to take responsability and properly manage my time. But right now I work as hard (if not more) on my art as I used to do back then. Didn't wanted to say this before but drawing the way I do now (paying so much attention to the anatomy, being so careful with the lineart and trying something new with each piece) is consuming more energy and time than what I can offer.

Doing different types of art its been pretty much my only hobby this year and while I enjoy drawing, it has been more draining than before, to the point I'm sleeping more this last couple months to compensate for spending so many hours (from 4 to 7 hours most days of the week) in front of the screen exclusively drawing. I'm not making much of a realistic profit out of this either.

To conclude, I'm dropping the quality of my art and simplifying it so it consumes a more reasonable amount of time, energy and it's actually profitable. Still, it's not like my skills are going to go backwards, and remember my compromise: I will always make drawings that are first and foremost an expression of art and beauty. Never one of rush, lazyness or greed.

Are you guys satisfied with one drawing per week or is too little? Gotta admit I'm not the most charismatic or fun artist out there so besides the drawings I don't know what else to do to keep people invested. Should I lower quality to produce more of them?
Perhaps my content simply isn't very share-able. At this moment I'm not sure how to continue or if I'm fine

This year had its ups and downs, but I've been handling my art and emotions buch better than the previous year, I enjoy drawing more than I used to and also learned to become more grateful with the people arround me, so thank you all for being here with me

Thanks for waiting during my exams, my vacations were last week and I really enjoyed them, I used the time to advance with the dragon fursuit and practice some sculpting, refreshed and full of motivation I am ready to continue with the drawings, I'll have something for you guys this friday

I've recently been wondering why some other vore artists that have less time than me in this platform are more relevant, and after looking at some of the stuff they make I think my art is too tame. Is that the reason though? Maybe some people have more luck or a more attractive/productive artstyle. I'm confused and this topic has been on my mind all the week. Is is just that my art is not as compelling as I expected?
