My roommate is going to be working day shifts for a while so I will be adjusting my schedule to match!

I had an idea today and I want to check if there would be any interest for it (as it'd probably need a bit of crowdfunding, and a lot of time.)

Synopsis: A lonely girl moves into a new apartment where there already is a bed. Turns out the place is haunted, and a monster lives under the bed, and manifests itself as long arms with large hands. At first she is scared, but it turns out not to be a bad monster. After communicating through notes passed under the bed, they get frisky.

Now a thing I'm not sure about is:
Should the girl be human, or anthro. I personally like both, but I want to be able to reach the widest audience possible in case this is made, so what I'm really asking is, would you, personally, be AGAINST the main character being human.

HEADS UP!
I'm gonna open a few commission slots, but ONLY for rough sketches, Wing-Its, and Chibis (which means no refsheet, stickers/icons, or comics).

My anxiety levels are off the charts, and I know I won't be able to communicate much. I'll also be doing more YCHs seeing as they help a LOT knowing what direction I'm going with.

I also probably won't accept anything that makes me need to design a character (i.e: written description.)
It's kind of a kick in the guts as an artist to have to admit it, but as much as I want to keep drawing for people, I also need to take care of my mental health

And I've been neglecting that by forcing myself to perform when it was just me struggling because I didn't have the capacities to. It ended in slow, often not satisfying work, which didn't happen when I did personal work or wing-it type of drawings for others

So I'll be doing my best to get out of that funk before I get back to my "usual" work uh.. the usual way I work. I know there's a word I wanted to put there, but I can't remember it. BUT YEAH.

I will not be naming names, because I want to respect the people's anonymity.

I've (sort of) recently put a character up for adoption. The auction started at the lowest allowed price of $1, seeing as the concept behind its creation was mostly a joke, but I thought having a symbolic price on it was better than giving it away, but I wasn't planning on asking for more than a dollar even if the auction got higher. Kind of a "We'll just see who would be willing to pay a higher price for fun, and make the actual still-$1 price a surprise."

Someone approached me in private, asking if they could get the character if the auction ended without any bid, as they couldn't bid on it themselves.
Of course, seeing the context, I said yes. If no one was willing to pay one dollar after the auction time, I didn't mind just letting it go.

But someone DID bid the opening bid, making the deal void.

But that person decided to contact the bidder, trying to make them retract their bid, using the loss of their pets as a reason why they didn't have money.

As soon as it came to my ears, I knew that no matter what would happen, I wouldn't let them get the adoptable.

I'm myself still mourning after the loss of one of my pet birds, and am well aware of the pain losing a pet you love can cause. But I also respect my deceased baby enough not to use his death as a way to get free stuff I'm in no way entitled to, and there is NO way I would try to get something that someone ELSE is entitled to.

It's unfair, it's disrespectful for all parties involved, and I will not be guilted into giving anyone anything. Using guilt as a way to get something is selfish. And as much as I KNOW I'm going to feel guilty (I've got a guilt complex bad enough to require therapy) I'm still not going to disappoint someone because someone else feels like they're more deserving of something that is in no way required.

First of all, I wanted to let people know that posting will resume on Sunday, May 12!
The move went well, but there are still plenty of boxes to move and unpack, and while the internet is working now, I can't exactly work full time yet, as I want to be able to have a nicer work environment to boost my motivation!
I will be changing my schedule, though, as I want to adjust it to match with my roommate's to make life here easier.
Starting Sunday, I'll be working from 3pm to 11pm, and posting will happen at around 5pm (EST), but Friday and Saturday will remain days off!
Change of plans! Work days will be Monday to Friday, 3pm to 11pm, with posting at 5pm, with weekends on Saturday and Sunday!

And speaking of future artworks... I feel like it's about time I give myself a raise! 2019, whilst cheaper as far as rent goes, will be expensive in other places, and I feel like the general quality of my work as increased (hopefully it has!).
2019 has multiple things in store for me, including my legal name change, which I'm planning to start working on in July! I know it'll take a few months to be finalized, but I honestly can not stand my deadname being used anymore.

Other than that, I also want to, finally, upgrade things I own.For years, I've kept pretty much everything that was still functional, even if they were far from ideal, with the exception of my work material (I want to be able to be as productive as possible, and that included being able to work efficiently when away from home (because who needs to NOT work when hanging out with friends?)). For example, I would like things like kitchen chairs (I only have one at the moment) and a dresser!

Most of all, I wish I could afford new clothes. Most of the clothes I own I've owned since high school (which was over 10 years ago), or are cheap things that don't last long. And from all the clothes I had, I gave away most, seeing as there is a lot I wore before, but won't wear anymore as I do not feel comfortable with how they made me look (as in... they greatly helped with being unable to go out without being misgendered) and I was too nervous about not being able to get new clothes if I did. I want to be able to wear things that will make me feel comfortable, and that will last for a while.

And I would have more to say, but really, all of it comes down to: I haven't done much for my own self being in years, and I want to change that, and updating my prices is one of the ways I can achieve that goal.

SO! What does this mean?
I'll be opening commissions on Sunday, and will keep them open until June, and this will be the LAST TIME the current prices are available, and the only additional commission I'll be taking are special offers and spurs of the moment, as I want to make sure I can finish everything in time. After that, starting July, the new prices will be implemented. I'll also be making new samples,and chosen from characters submitted to me on Patreon (and other places if I need more!)
Not to worry, I'll post about this when it happens, so no need to come back to this post!

PLEASE do not complain about this. It's something I have to do, as my current prices are enough to live, but not enough to thrive. Increasing the prices also means more free time, and more free time means I'll also be able to offer free art requests more often (because as you might know I actually love making gifts)! And higher prices means less pressure to get stuff done right away to get to the next thing, which means less stress, and that usually comes with better work! So I hope you'll understand.
