Moving! New FA name!
Posted 10 years ago

For a good 4-5 months now I've been wanting to change FA names. Schitzofox really doesn't feel like me anymore, like it did when I first made the account. Now comes the time where I get a new name that fits me a lot better. Full of bad jokes and silly references!
The reason it took so long for me to actually make it is because I've been in the process of finishing up some old work, as well as starting some new stuff so that I actually have things to post, and am not asking people to watch a completely empty gallery and trust that I'll be posting stuff. And I've gotten an art mood back that I haven't had in months, which is great!
See those of you who choose to follow on the other side! And I do appreciate each and every watcher, even though I do look like a social recluse most of the time.

Still Alive!
Posted 10 years agoAnd hopefully I'll be back soon!
I always feel bad when I disappear for any length of time. It always sticks in my head that when I do submit stuff after being idle for a few months that it's never enough to justify it and blah blah blah.
I have probably a good 8-9 pictures in various states of completion, with a few more stuck in my head, that I'm hoping to finish up soon and then submit.
Thanks to all the watchers and all the people favoriting things. I love you all!

Halloween Commissions!
Posted 11 years agoIt’s that time! It’s been too long and I feel like doing some commissions again. Stretch my legs so to speak.
And the word of the month is HALLOWEEN!
Right now I’m planning to do four pictures. One a week until the big day, although, if I’m going faster than I planned or feel the urge to I probably will take more. It just kind of depends.
The price for these will be $20 for a single character shaded picture. If you want two characters the price will be $40, although I will be giving preference to single character over double. (And nothing above two characters.)
The end product will look something like this. Cel-shading and a very simple background.
Also, rather than commenting to take a spot, I’m going to use a form so that everything will be nice and simple for all of us. The form can be found HERE. I also will only be accepting the slots that have come in through the form.
I’m also updating my terms of Service to kind of reflect the way I want to do this current round of commissions. It will be a much shorter read, straight to the point.
1: I will be choosing the pictures that appeal to me the most. I don’t have any set guidelines of what makes something interesting for me to draw. Please accept it like a mature adult if you’re not chosen.
2: No written descriptions of poses. If you have a pose you really want, provide a picture, whether it is a photo or drawing. Something to show me.
3: I will not make changes to a piece unless it is a detail I missed in the original write-up.These pics are planned to be pretty much what-you-see-is-what-you-get. If I miss a detail that’s on the reference images then I’ll be more than happy to add it in. But if it’s randomly deciding the character needs a pair of wings or a totally different outfit or something, no thanks.
4: If I choose your picture I will shoot you a note with my Paypal information. From there you’ll have three days to send payment. I do understand that life happens, and I try to be pretty flexible and easy to work with. If something comes up, let me know. I can work with you. But I will not show the piece until I get the payment.
That’s about all there is this time around!
Just remember to fill out the FORM and have fun!
Any questions? Shoot me a note!
Happy Halloween Everyone!

It's Tuesday!
Posted 11 years agoAnd I just want to get my hiatus journal off my page!
I'm back-ish. Working full time makes it harder to draw. I'm still drawing quite a bit, though. But it just has resulted in a pile of half finished pictures. Kind of running into a reverse of artist block where I just have too many ideas and getting any one of them to completion is difficult!
Also working on getting faster with my sketches. (What I'm looking at is more crude than what I usually consider my sketches. Heavier handed with the lines and all, but I can get one of these done in like an hour. Opposed to like 3-4 or more depending.) With some practice on them I'd actually love to do stream commissions or something like that some day!
Hopefully I'll have some more work to post by the end of the week!
And yeah. Ask any questions you guys have for me! I'll answer pretty much anything barring extremely personal information. (I.E. Where exactly I work or something like that.) I'll answer when I wake up!

Temporary Hiatus
Posted 11 years agoI don't like bringing my personal life up all that much when it comes to general things on FA. So this journal will very likely be vague on a lot of details.
So! I'm going to be going on hiatus, as the title says, for at least a month. In all likelihood it will be closer to two or three months. I'll probably start submitting a bit after the first month. I need to see how everything works out.
I will still be checking my FA daily, so if you have a question or something just shoot me a note and I can try to get back to you as soon as I can!
Thanks for everything, everyone. You're all awesome, and hopefully when I come back I'll have quite a bit of progress to show!

Commissions are OPEN! Information for February 2014!
Posted 11 years agoIt’s a few days later than I originally planned to do, but it’s time to put up the slots for February 2014!
Commission sheet is right here for the prices of everything.
I’m combining crotch shots and full shaded pieces, I’ll be doing 4 of these total this month. Either or.
1:
(Waiting final approval)
2:
(Finished)
3:
(Not Started)
4:
(Not Started)
And then I will also do 6 sketches to start with. This number is pretty flexible since they’re the quickest and easiest for me to complete. I might add more if I finish all the slots.
1:
(Finished)
2:
3:
4:
5:
6:
To take a slot just comment on this journal with what type you want and I’ll add your name in. From there you have 48 hours to send me a note with what you want drawn. If I do not get something in that time period the slot will be opened again. I would also ask that no one takes more than one slot without checking with me beforehand.
(Even if the slots are full you can ask. If it’s an idea I like/think will be fun to draw then I may add an extra slot to accomodate.)
And Please read my Terms of Service. It gives an idea of what I like in a brief, as well as mentioning specifically the rules I use when working on an image. By commissioning me you agree to everything contained therein, and I will adhere to it. (There have been changes to it since January, I have put the newest things in bold.)
Thanks a bunch for your time and patronage!

Commissions are OPEN! Information for January 2014
Posted 11 years agoOpening commissions again for the new year. This time, though, I’m going to do slots Just for the month of January. There’ve also been a few tweaks on what I’m offering, mainly pruning out the options that never got used. For more details you can refer to the updated pricing guide here:
Now, so that I don’t get myself swamped like I did last year, I am going to start using slots. The number may change based on the month, and will probably go up once I get more comfortable with my pacing.
This month I will only be doing 3 shaded slots.
1:
(110% completed)
2:
(Flats)
3:
(100% Complete)
I am also up for 2 crotch-shots.
1:
(100% Done)
(I know originally I had 2 of these, but I want to practice since I'm doing them a different way. So maybe in a month or two they'll be open again)
And then I will also do 5 sketches to start with. This number is pretty flexible since they’re the quickest and easiest for me to complete. I might add more if I finish all the slots.
1:
(Sketched)
2:
(100% Done)

CLOSED
Posted 11 years agoSo I’ll be raffling off two shaded sketches. Something like what is in my gallery say This or this except with some rough shading in there. For each one I will either do two characters with no/very very minimal background, or one character with a simple background. (I.E. Nothing where I’d spend more time working on the background than I would the character. I will tell you if the background is too complex and needs to be toned down)
To enter, all you have to do is be a watcher and comment on this Journal.
-Anyone who is watching me can enter, as with anyone who watches me before the deadline passes.
-Anyone who has commissioned me in the past and wants it can get a second entry. Not one entry per picture, just a second chance to win, as a ‘thank-you-for-supporting-me’ thing.
-I hope this doesn’t happen, and I doubt it will, (it never hurts to cover my bases, though) but please, I don’t want the same person entering on multiple accounts.
I’m willing to draw most things, it can be SFW or NSFW, I’m not bothered either way. As long as it doesn’t fall into the category of things that I will not draw.
-No scat, watersports, vore, diapers, cub stuff. I would also prefer to stay away from drawing hyper characters or humans.
-I am not requiring a ref sheet or previous drawings of the character, although, they’re greatly preferred. If you win and don’t have one we can work something out. (I greatly prefer taking a bunch of ‘it looks like this with this texture/color’ images than a fully written description.)
-By entering you agree to my terms of service.
Entries will close at midnight Central Time (GMT -6) on December 31st. I’ll do the drawing on January first. These are also going to be projects that are worked on between paid commissions, so there’s no 100% guarantee on the finish date. I’m hoping to have them done by February first at the latest.
The drawing is done! If anyone wants to see me doing Here to make sure that I didn't cheat or slight anyone. If you have complaints or something like that drop me a note and we'll talk about them.
Terms of Service
Posted 11 years agoIt’s a bit of a long read, but please at least skim it. Because if you commission me, you’re agreeing to abide by what is said here.
These are how I work and what rules I follow.
It has been working fairly well for me so far, so I will keep with my method of when pay is expected. I ask for my payment when the sketch has been approved
For me to move beyond a the sketch phase for an image I require both an approval from you, the client, that everything looks good, and the money sent to me via paypal.
When a picture is finished I will send two versions, through imgur. One at 1200 pixels in either height or width (whichever is larger) for the purpose of galleries and other purposes, and another at 200 pixels in either height or width. Upon request I can provide larger versions due to the size of canvas I work on, but I do not recommend this.
Now for what should be sent in a commission request:
This is not a set rule or a form necessarily, but if you don’t know what to send, it provides a good point to start.
1: Style/Level of completion, whatever you want to call it. Sketch, full shaded. Flat colors, that sort of thing. To let me know how far the work is going to progress.
2: Character(s) the art is of and relevant reference images. (I greatly prefer image references or other visuals to a fully written description. I do not mind being sent a picture and being told ‘it looks kind of like this, but with these changes to color/physique/pattern’. And a lot more clarity comes from pictures than words.)
3: The pose wanted. Again, a written description is acceptable, but I would greatly prefer an image of the pose wanted or something similar. An image also helps the product be made quicker and of a higher quality. There are times, if I feel I have a better idea for the mood/feeling/setting, that I might tweak the pose.
4: Moods/feelings if it is relevant. If you want something passionate, angry, etc.
5: Time constraints, if any. (If you’re wanting something something for someone’s birthday next week, or something of that sort, please let me know.) If you have a time constraint of less than 3-4 days I will charge a rush fee, which will immediately double the price of the piece, if not more.
(If it isn't necessary as part of your request, like there's no time constraints, you don't have to mention it)
This is an example of a commission writeup that gives me all the necessary information. (And is shown with the commissioner's permission.)
Here are a few things that I feel the need to point out, for the purpose of it being here if a dispute arises:
-Above all, I reserve the right to refuse a commission for any reason without the need to explain myself. And in some extreme situations I reserve the right to quit a commission midway through. (If I do this all money will be refunded to the commissioner that was paid except for additional fees accrued.)
-I do not have lineless pieces on my price sheet because they don’t tend to be profitable for me. If you would be interested in one feel free to ask and I will provide a quote, but they are likely to be a bare minimum of $50 for a single character with no background.
-If the characters are not interacting on any level, are not in the same scene, that general idea, each instance will be counted as a separate picture. So if you are wanting the same character drawn in multiple poses with no interaction between them, then each separate pose counts as its own image and the price will be changed accordingly.
-For the inclusion of internal shots, closeups of anything, emphasis of what is going on between the characters and other similar instances, I will count these as an additional character (or two if it is extremely complex or there are that many of them).
-I do not like to let strangers use my characters in their commissions. If you would like a picture with one of them, you are more than welcome to ask, but unless you are a friend there is a good chance that I will say no.
-I generally do not do commission work on the weekends. Things tend to be more chaotic then and it also provides time for me to work on my own personal endeavours. The only times I will work on the weekend are if I’m way behind on commissions or really enjoying one.
-Your brief, the information you send me, needs to contain all the information needed for me to work on a picture. If I have questions about details I will send a note asking. If a detail is on none of the reference images I was given and not mentioned at all in the brief I am not obligated to add it. Or, if I do a fee will be added to the price of the commission up to $10 in extreme cases.
-When you okay a sketch, I will not change details further along in the process without an additional fee. (I.E. okaying the sketch and deciding before the flats/lineart that your character needs the genitalia changed.) The additional charge will be based on the complexity of the changes and how much time they will take, or how much of an overhaul to previous progress is necessary.
-I will not progress with a piece until a step is okayed.
-If I show a sketch, I will redo the pose a maximum of one time from scratch if it completely misses the mark of what was described.
-I will do up to two sets of revisions on a sketch, if something needs to be changed or I missed a detail.
-In any of the two above situations I will charge extra if it exceeds 1 sketch redo or 2 revisions. Up to the price of the sketch on top of the image, per set of revisions/sketch redos. Please don’t make me revise stuff just because you can, though. It doesn’t make friends.
-On the subject of private commissions, I will do them, but due to the fact that they hurt my business by not being posted in my gallery, it will cost 50% of the total price of the piece as an additional fee. (I.E. a $20 commission will immediately become $30.)
-I’m changing how I do backgrounds and charge for them. Free with the sketch is a neutral color/light gradient background. For actual backgrounds there are simple ones which are easy to produce and will cost 50% of the price of the sketch, as with before. I am also adding that some backgrounds are complex, justifying extra compensation up to the full price of the image again. (So a complex, full shaded background, could cost $30 for the background).
-If the picture contains a character you do not own and there are no signs that the person is okay with you using their character (I.E. Mates, or there’s other gallery pieces/commissions showing the characters interacting) I would like to get some form of consent/approval from the other person.
-If I feel the writeup I’m given is inadequate and does not provide enough information I will reject it. Spending an extra 30-60 minutes on a brief to make sure it contains enough information can save 12-24 hours or more on the completion time of the picture. For commissions if I reject it then you have 48 hours from the rejection to send another brief that is acceptable to work from or you will be removed from the commission queue
-Refer-a-friend! It’s an idea I’ve kind of wanted to throw in for awhile. If a friend or someone referred you to me, let me know in the commission note. I’ll give them 15% off the next commission I do for them, stacking twice for up to 30% off. I will never ask if someone referred you to me, so it is entirely on the commissioner to let me know of this on their own. Before the picture is finished.
-This is open to be added to if more things come up that need to be put in.
It’s a wall of text, and I’m sorry, but it provides a safety net for me and a chance to put my foot down.
These are how I work and what rules I follow.
