Good Bye Monroe.
Posted 14 years agoToday we say goodbye to Monroe (Moe). We adopted Moe from my fathers old boss. He was a tan Chihuahua, we only had him for a few years. The last few months were really difficult for him, He had an ongoing battle with heart failure. He required alot of care, in the last 6 months he needed medication 8 times a day. Last night before i left for work he was really not himself, I held him in my lap for a half hour trying to get him his meds. This morning he had to be taken to the vet because he was struggling to breathe and had a faint erratic heartbeat. We made the choice to have him put down because he was suffering, and would not have survived another night. We only had him for a short time but i will always love him, he will be sorely missed. I am thankful that I had the chance to say goodbye to him.
Moe, even though you were small, in your mind you were huge. You will never know how much you will be missed at least you are no longer suffering. We will always hold you in our hearts, thank you for all the good times. I will always love you. Goodbye my friend Goodbye.

Amazing Video

Posted 14 years agoWell 2 weeks ago I witnessed a car vs motorcycle accident in the interstate, So I did what I thought was right I stopped and called 911, and stuck around to make a statement to the police. Some bimbo made a statement that I hit the motorcycle, and the Dickhead cop refused to listen to what I saw. So long story short now I have a pile of legal crap to deal with all for being the hero. SO lesson learned, never assist the highway patrol, I remember a time when the Police were there to help, now they just document and hardly ever follow through or do real police work. So due to the lack of proper investigation i have to defend myself for doing the right thing.

Posted 14 years agoThe gate i designed the parts for (see http://www.furaffinity.net/journal/2405824/) suffered a vehicle impact the other night. The adapter worked exactly as it was designed to and it reduced damage to the axle and transmission.

Posted 14 years agoWell about 6 months ago I came up with an idea for an adapter plate for some of our vehicle gates at work. the new units we have use nylon nuts to secure the arm to the axle. The other gates use a disposable aluminum plate that is ment to break in the event of a vehicle strike. I submitted the adapter design to my boss and had thought it had been rejected, well the other day there was a box in my office and it was the prototype for my design. It had to be adjusted a bit but they are scheduled to make a few more.
It made me feel really good that a multi-million dollar company took the time to listen to the guys working in the field. Even something this small. I'm really proud of this because most will complain not too many do anything about it.

Damn What A Week!
Posted 15 years agoThis has been an amazing week. It started at the race track I won My first race of the season. Then at work I find out I was selected to be the new shift foreman. Then to top it all off I found out I passed my Ride and Show Tech test which i didnt study for and thought i had failed.
Usually at work I work alone with very little support and no supervision. The other day I ordered take out chinese and my fortune cookie said "The fellow who doesn't need a boss is often chosen to be one"

Cat+Vets office= flesh wound
Posted 15 years agoIts that time of the year where my mothers cat is due for his semi-annual check-up. Well the cat doesn't like me too much anyway, throw in a cat carrier and it's war. Needless to say the cat tore me to shreds in the process. does anyone have any hints on safely (for me and the cat) transporting him to the vet with out bodily injury?
