So, yeah, no stream this past Saturday. Things started off slow, and then we wandered into the city, had dinner and saw Les Mis... that ate up about three hours.

Might do some drawing later tonight, but I can't swear I'll stream it. If nothing else, at least I'll have something to post.

Assuming the world doesn't end Friday (DAMN YOU, MAYANS!!!), I'm going to try to stream and draw on Saturdays from here on out.

The progression from pot of coffee to six pack of beer should be fun to watch, as reflected in my drawing.

Let's see how many puns on "stream" I can draw to announce it before I give up and start recycling them. Should be fun!

So yeah, gonna steal one from the lost & found at work. Fingers crossed!

I just ordered a Cintiq tablet, and it should arrive tomorrow. I don't know about you, but I'm excited!

It's that time again!

Here's the recipe for hot buttered rum batter I use:
1 lb butter
1 lb brown sugar
1 lb confectioner's sugar
1 tablespoon cinnamon
1 teaspoon nutmeg

Melt butter in a large pot over medium heat. Blend in brown sugar and confectioners' sugar. Remove from heat, and whisk in the ice cream, cinnamon, and nutmeg. Pour mixture into a plastic container, seal, and freeze.

Scoop out some batter, put it in a mug, toss in a shot (or two) of rum, fill the rest of the way with boiling water. Stir.

Grate some fresh nutmeg, and enjoy!

The job I have these days is much better than the one I had last year; more hours, better pay, and the flexibility to pick my days.

Having finally settled in to the new apartment and started building up some savings, I'm thinking of upgrading my tablet. I've been using the same tablet for about 5 years now and while it has served me well, it's just getting to be that time.

I'm thinking the Cintiq 12... what do you, the viewers at home, think?

So, I've been offline, busy, offline, preoccupied and away for a while... I've finally gotten back into the swing of drawing, and as promised I'm going to start up the commissions and requests again.

I know I still need to finish up the hyper animation, but I don't know if anyone else who was interested in a piece is STILL interested.

I… think I may have plagiarized off of someone else.

Back in February of 2010, I did a pic called "Did They Wash Their Hands?" wherein two raccoons were eating each other.

Now, it's not exactly the same, but it does have some very strong similarities to a pic called "They Are Swallowing Each Other" by Thomas Nast.

I won't take the pic down, since it is varied enough and I don't think I was directly inspired by Nast, but may have been unconsciously remembering having seen the image before.

Anyway, Nast? If you're still out there, I apologize. My bad.

I figure, if I can keep drawing and producing stuff worth posting for the rest of the month, I'll be "back on the horse" as it were.
