Hi everyone! Sorry that I haven't been active or been quiet lately! This is my last year in college and things have been awfully busy @w@ Tuition and bills is becoming difficult to pay off so I am needing to open more commissions.
So this is an announcement. This will be my FINAL batch for Selfie Commissions!!! It has been a long run and it has been fun drawing every one of your selfie commissions, but I feel I need something new and different to draw after this! I will leave slots open for a couple days or until I reach a max amount of quota, and then I will close Selfie Commissions for a final time. So please send your Selfie inquiries to my email (Seaside_Ying@yahoo.com)! As usual it is first come first serve.

- I imagine Instagram Selfies would be very personal, reflecting the characters personality and quirks. So I set up 3 possible methods to give reference for that. Pick one method!
Method #1: Description of character in a specific pose. What are they doing with their face? Are they left handed or right handed? What are they doing with their hands? What are they wearing? ETC. Least recommended because final product may be inaccurate to commissioner's vision.
Method #2: Search #Selfie on Instagram (or Twitter) for a preferred picture to reference pose and background from. (Will not be traced, just referenced).
Method #3: Take your own Selfie with your pose and face. Can dress up, or say what clothes you want your character to wear (or find references for clothes). Most recommended *I can understand if some may wish to not show their face online, which is why I offer other two methods ^^

Posted 11 years agoFinally finished with the most recent batch of commissions!! I am sorry to all the commissioners who had to wait so long and to everyone who wanted commissions but I wasnt open @__@ I swear this will be the last and only time I open such a huge batch!
I am letting everyone know that I will be open again for commissions soon next week maybe! ^^ This time I will do a more manageable size of commissions. It will be 5 slots at a time. Small enough to be not overwhelming and fast enough so that I can open commissions more often!

My Absence
Posted 11 years agoHello everyone, I am making a journal to let you all know where I've been. I wont get into much detail since it is embarrassing for me. I had an injury that left me unable to do much for the past month and had to postpone my final semester which left me depressed. Things are beginning to look up again and I am happy to be able to use my drawing hand 100% now so I should be getting back into commissions soon!
Sorry that you all have been in the dark this past month. To my commissioners, I hope my absence did not cause much inconvenience if any! Look forward to seeing some commissions uploaded in the next coming days! Thank you for your patience!

You might notice I have been less active lately. College was very busy the past month but it is finally over! No more finals! One more semester to go!
I hope everyone has been having a great winter holiday! I have been! (SO MUCH FOOD!) But now that all that is over, I should be back up to speed on commissions again. All that is left is the NEW YEARS! 2013 is now over and it has been a good one. Anyone have any new years resolutions?

I want to update on the prices and format of the commissions AFTER the next batch, and I hope it is okay with you all. I am still in college which means I have to pay for rent, tuition and food. Sadly I have turned 25 recently which means I can no longer get financial aid and I have to pay for my own medical insurance. If you dont know, that means it will cost a LOT of money, and I am afraid of having to make a lot of sacrifices. I am so close to finishing college too!
So AFTER the next batch, so that it isn't unexpected and unfair to those who could not get a commission in my last batch, I will be increasing my prices by $5. I am afraid to do this and I hope this doesn't push people away. I will keep lineart commissions at $25 however because I cannot see myself paying more for my lineart. So as an update, color commissions will be $40 and selfie commissions will be $35 after the next batch.
As for format, there will be 4 slots each, but each person is allowed to commission up to 2 commissions at once, and will only count for 1 commission slot. This way it would be fair for everyone wishing to get a slot. Lineart commissions won't be listed due to low demand but it will be available for people who wish to commission it. The only need to note me requesting a lineart commission.
I hope this isn't confusing for anyone. It is late at night so I might not be coherent? ^^; If anyone needs clarification or has questions, please comment!

Sorry for disappearance
Posted 12 years agoHello all! I am very sorry for my disappearance. School has begun and a lot of complications with graduation arose and I had to sort that out.

Days of college, 132 is my number
Posted 12 years agoWhen I started college, I had a group of friends that were very sexually open. They were my first gay friends (and first gay people I knew) and showed me the LGBT community. I felt free being able to be myself for once. They also introduced me to hooking up
Having been in college twice now and being an overall curious shiba, it gave me a lot of chances to be experimental with my sexuality. This also gives me stories and experiences to tell! Thats what this new series of artwork will be about. My experiences with 132 different people (give or take a couple. 132 just had a nice ring to it). I'll pick out what part of them reminds me most about that experience and draw it. Some of them will be interesting, like one with blindfolds and handcuffs or having a threesome. Some will be a bit boring since there wasnt anything really interesting about them.
132 sounds like a lot of people, but when you think about that this took place over 6 years of college, thats only about 22 per year out of 365 days haha. Some of my friends have had more. One of them being bisexual had almost 400 sex partners, both male and female. My number stop rising for now, since i'm in a relationship with my boyfriend of a few months.
How many sex partners have you had? Or if you haven't had any, how many would you want to have or be most comfortable with having?
PS. I know some people will judge me for the high number (as it has happened before), but I dont care. We play it safe, we make sure both parties are consensual and we have fun. We talk to the other party to make sure they're trustworthy, and most often we're after the same thing; fun sex (Rarely do they want to kidnap, murder, rape, or spread STDs to me, which is never if you play it safe). As long as there's respect and safe practice involved, I dont see it being a problem.

Method #1: Description of character in a specific pose. What are they doing with their face? Are they left handed or right handed? What are they doing with their hands? What are they wearing? ETC. Least recommended because final product may be inaccurate to commissioner's vision.
Method #2: Search #Selfie on Instagram (or Twitter) for a preferred picture to reference pose and background from. (Will not be traced, just referenced).
Method #3: Take your own Selfie with your pose and face. Can dress up, or say what clothes you want your character to wear (or find references for clothes). Most recommended *I can understand if some may wish to not show their face online, which is why I offer other two methods ^^
*All methods still require reference of your character.
