It's that time of the year again when we say good-bye to the summer and hello to the upcoming fall with the 2nd annual "South East Florida Furs: Fantastic Fun Fall Festival" or simply "SEFFFFFF" for short


This event will take place on Saturday, September 28th at 6:00PM.

Fizzy Fox has been gracious enough to host the event at his family’s residence in Parkland (Broward County) and like last year, will be DJ-ing music all throughout the night!

There will be food, drinks, live DJing, pool, games and lots of fun!! SEFF will provide burgers, hot dogs, and some sides.


We ask that everyone attending bring some form drinks or snacks.

and don't forget swimming trunks for the pool if you'll like to swim.

Event Organizers jobs will be simple:
*be active within the group [this is the biggest pet peeve with me, if you’re not active, then why be in charge of setting up Events? lol]
*host one event a month in there respected area
*Keep a clean/respectable record with other members
*keep within the guidelines that are set with meetups
* Communication with me in a big plus

Meets ups are easy to do, just simply post onto the site, as an Event Organizer you don’t have to wait for approval, or minimal number of RSVP for it to show on the site.

I want to also Point out something ray said “This is a user generated group and one that depends on members to create events and such...”
If the members don't want to make an event, then the group isn’t active, hosting a mall meetup, bowling meet, heck, even a “lets go get some ice-cream” meet is better than nothing, it helps others get out and meet new people, that’s the main point in this group. You can always post events even if you’re not an Organizer.

I’m taking a break for a month to get everything in my life in order, I’ve been falling behind and need to play catch up [one of many reasons why I haven’t been hosting movie nights etc.] I just haven’t had the time, and on top of that I’m starting two new fursuits and working more to save up for fixing up the house.

I was going to point a meetup that me and  furrydog008 talked about, for his birthday next week for Friday [may 17], but the problem is that I’ve been to stressed and overworked to do it, if anyone would like to host something, [or at least give him a happy birthday] let him know

It’s not that hard to do, the site is set up to auto post an event if it gets 3 people going[that’s counting the person that made the event], or just chat to me a bit about it and I’ll just approve it.

If you find that some events are far, then post something close
If you find that events are happening on a weekends and you have week days free, post something on the days your free, see what happens

But if no one does anything, then nothing happens, this is a group effort, a team of sorts

If Miami and West Palm Beach wants more events, please post some guys, you know the area better than I do, and it would be awesome if you posted on the site the fun things that your home town has to offer

Hey guys!

i'm hosting a movie night once again on march 29th, movie will be an awsome one called

seting up projector and playing random videos untill 8:30 [people talk and chat as i set everything up]

end time is midnight [i kick all of you guys out XP, lol, fuzzy might do an Ihop run after and you guys are free to join him if you'll like]
1am i finished cleaning up and go to bed :3

Once again we do the dance of time for the Ren-fest!
Each ticket is $20 bucks plus County park fee of $1.50 per person [please bring cash for this]
We will meet in the front main entrance and starting from 1100am [this is to also allow time to get tickets, and be in the Ren-fest by 11:45am]
We will meet up and do a lunch break about 2pm – 3pm
Everyone is free to do whatever they want [don’t have to stay in the group if you feel like adventureing! =P ]
Fur suiting is allowed [I know I am! =^_^=]
*please note they will have to see your face when entering the park, no exceptions.

~~~Good tips on going to the Ren-fest:~~~
Please remember this is an outside event, so bringing water is a must!
If you’re suiting, there is a good amount of dirt walk ways…just remember that for your feet paw…
Food is a bit pricy, so try and eat/ bring food before getting there, this will help your pocket a lot

Hey guys, Neko here with a bunch of updates, I’ll break them down by topic so you can read what part interests you:


Fursonification:
For a lack of a better way of explaining, Fursonification won’t be happening this year, mainly the fact that it was never mine to hosted it [it is Aaden’s event] so the website, banners, etc. are all with him, if things change, I will update everyone on it, but for now it’s a no-go for 2013

On that note…


Future events:
I love park meet up and BBQ like fursonification and I will not mind helping setting up a picnic meet up likeit, but in order for SEFFurs to host things we need help from you guys.

Now I don’t mean just money [but that does help] but help buying and bringing supply’s, providing help, setting up etc etc. is what is needed at times, no one fur can support a whole group and it’s as a group we have to band together in order to enjoy the events we love.

I’m very big on group effort, I love seeing everyone come together, it doesn’t hurt to buy chips and soda, hotdogs and buns, etc. for a big party, and if everyone buys food [for a pot-luck kind of setup] a few bucks each can mean a lot in the end.

If you guys want to do a big Seffurs picnic, we need your support for it, I will soon be posting plans for a SEFFurs Spring Gathering, and will post a list of what is needed in order to host it [supplies, help, money, etc.] it won’t be a lot of effort if a lot of furs chip in! Everyone can do a small part to make this huge =^_^=


Moderators:

We will start a new system of volunteers to help with setting up events, and with event planning, but as far as “moderators” there is no need for them, if you have a problem with anything, my number is on the page, feel free to text me [954-993-1866] and I’ll get back as soon as I can, or email me at nekochristmas[at]comcast.net with whatever problems, concerns, questions etc. you might have, I love helping and don’t mind finding answers

On a side note: miles will be my number 2 if there is no way to contact me, or at events I might not attends but he might at.


Random Small things:
*I will need volunteers for events, and no you won’t be stuck always helping, just small stuff and if we get a bunch of people willing to help it’ll make it easier to rotate who helps at what events.
*I will need idea on who might help with sponsoring us with some events I have planned, if you guys know any good gaming place [kind of like how tate’s gaming satellite is set up] that might be looking, let me know, what I want to do is like a MTG card night, maybe even something roll playing, or hell, just a relaxing card game/board/art/draw game night lol give me your input please! =3
*we need supplies, like random things like tables, chairs, etc, stuff to bring to events, if you have anything lying about that is unused, taking up space that you think might be useful to the group, let me know


Last note:
I’m going to do my best with helping everyone have fun, if you know of an event, and don’t see it posted, feel free to post it on the site, it only needs you and 2 others to go and will be announced to everyone, think something might be fun like a beach meet, post it, see what happens [also this will help events be from around all of south Florida and not always be stuck in the broward county lol]

I will try and keep up doing movie night every other week, if it rains I will move it to the next Friday, for those that are wondering, I had to stop hosting the movie night inside mainly for the face my house is too small for 10+ people, lol, but the good thing is that now we get a 10 foot by 7 foot size screen out side with tikki torches and everything, lol

Also donations are back up on the site the cover the cost of running the seffurs website fees, meet up foods, drink, etc. it’s a nice notions to give a few bucks, and I do say thank you to all!

Also remember we do have a massage board for you guys to use and post ;)
