Due to various reasons, I have decided to step back as the leader of the SEFF group. I have given  nekousagi almost total control of the SEFF website until further notice. Also, as a result of this change, Darkwolf has stepped down as a moderator. All other moderators remain the same. These decisions have been made with the best intentions and with the well being of the group in mind. I will continue to retain ownership of the website and the seffurs.org domain. The FA page and the Twitter account are currently in limbo until Neko and I figure out what we are going to do with them. From now on, please direct and issues with the group to a moderator or Neko. Neko will have final say in all administrative matters.

For all of you going to ESG 2012, please be sure you have REGISTERED for the event. There is no on site registration, so if you do not register on event's website at https://elliottsliveevents.org/ESG2012, then you WILL NOT be admitted at the door. Please keep in mind that you either need a current account or have to create a new account to register. Simply creating a new account does not register you for the event, that must be done AFTER you create your account.

If you did not receive a confirmation email from King Elliott that you have REGISTERED for Elliott's Spring Gathering, then chances are that you have not registered. So, please make absolutely sure that you have registered.

Registration for the event closes Friday, May 4th at 6:00AM sharp. After that you will not be able to register and will not be able to get in.

Elliott's Spring Gathering is less than a week away and the online room block has been sold out! Don't worry, you can still get rooms at the discuounted rate by calling the hotel directly at 407-239-1234 and making your reservation; just mention that your attending Elliott's Spring Gathering. This years ESG is being held at The Hyatt Grand Cypress Resort in Orlando which is located on 1,500 acres and is literally right next door to Disney. There will be so many things things to do that are offered by both the event and the resort that you wont find yourself with an idle moment. First, a "Fursonification 2012" photo directory has been created and can be

take a moment to upload any photos you may have taken at the event so that
others may remember the fun.

Second, remeber that the Ren-Fest meetup will be Saturday March 3rd at 10AM.
This event is a lot of fun and tickets will be at the discounted rate of $15 a
person (regular admission is $20). Please RSVP at aadens[at]aol.com if you would
like to reserve a ticket and can pay for it when you arrive at the meet. Unlike
last year we will be going our seperate ways when we get into the festival and
will have a meetup around lunch time. Last year we had a group dinner afterward
which we will repeat this year, so bring extra cash if you want dinner

Third, due to the impending restructuring of the administration and function of
SEFF, the moderators position held by Vik will not be filled at this time. More
information on the future of the group will be sent out at a later date. Anyone

Fursonification 2012 was a great success! Thanks to all of you who attended. While the final count isn't complete there were over 60 furs in attendance. For the most part, the weather cooperated although we could have done without the wind. Lotsa food, lotsa drink and pleanty to do. Fun was had by all.

I would like to open the floor to all of you who attended to share your thoughts on the event and what we could do to improve the event. Constructive comments on what you liked and didn't like are also welcome. Please remeber that this is a free event and a majority of the the funding comes out of a couple of peoples pockets, so please make your suggestions reasonible.

Once again, we would like to thank all of you for making this event worth it.

Fursonification is this Saturday from 11AM-Dusk. If you plan on attending and have not yet registered, please do so at http://fursonification.seffurs.org . Registering gives us an idea of how many people to expect so that we can buy enough supplies. Please remember that if you are under the age of 18 you must either bring a parent or have a signed parental concent form when you arrive at the event.

The SEFF meetup at the Florida Renaissance Festival is Saturday March 3rd. I am able to get discounted tickets for groups of 20 or more for $15 a ticket(regularly $20). Alright everyone, Fursonification 2012 is this Saturday! Food such as Hot Dogs, Hamburgers, Pulled Pork, Baked Beans, Cole Slaw, Potato Salad, and Deviled Eggs will be provided. For people looking for something to bring is encouraged to bring snacks (chips, salsa, cookies, ect). Several types of soda and water will also be provided. If anyone wants to bring any other types of drink are encouraged to bring them.

There will be several outdoor activites available such as horseshoes, vollyball, soccer, and football. If anyone would like to bring something else to do, you are more than welcome. Pets are allowed at the park as long as they are well behaved and on a leash.

If you would like to set up any tables to display or sell items, you are more than welcome to do so. Fursonification and its staff will not be responsible for any permits, taxes, or fees that may be required by the state, county, or park; so please be sure to look into any of those beforehand.

Finally, we are looking for anyone that may have portable canopies and would be willing to loan them to us for the event. We have reserved a large pavillion for the event, but extra cover is always a good thing. If any of you have one that you can bring, please email me at aadens@aol.com.

Hello All,

Just a quick update on two upcoming SEFF events.

Fursonification will be held on Saturday February 11th from 11am till sunset at Hugh Taylor Birch State Park in Fort Lauderdale. This is a free event (except for a small entrance fee charged by the park) and includes lots of food, fun, and a chance to meet all your fellow South Florida Furs. All of the details can be located at fursonification.seffurs.org.

The second event is the SEFF meetup at the Florida Renaissance Festival in Deerfield Beach. This meet will take place on Saturday March 3rd and we will meet at the front entrance to the event. We have not yet set a time for the actual meet. If we get a group of 20 or more people tickets will be $15 per person (normally $20). Please email me at aadens[at]aol.com to RSVP for this event. Well, Elliott's Winter Gathering 2012 is behind us and they had quite an impressive turnout. Even though the balcony wasn't finished until late into the night, the new lounge was definately worth the wait. I would like to take a moment to invite all of you who attended to let everyone know what you thought of the event. Please take a moment to let us know what you did or didn't like about the event itself as well as the hotel meetup on Sunday. Just wanted to make all of you aware of an upcoming Florida event. Elliott's Winter Carnival will be held in Winter Garden, FL (near Orlando) Saturday, January 21st through Sunday January 22nd. This event is free and there will be food and drinks provided. Come see all of the changes that have been made to the Pavillion and have some fun in the process! Just a quick announcement. I will once again be planning a SEFF group outing to the Florida Renaissance Festival held at Quiet Waters Park in Deerfield Beach (Broward County). The meet will either be on Saturday March 3rd or Saturday March 10th. I can purchase tickets at the group rate of $15 a person (regular $20) if we can get at least 20 people that can DEFINATELY go and PAY for their ticket. Like last year we will meet as a group at the front entrance but, unlike last year, we will not be trying to maintain the group once inside. We will probably schedule a meet up time to do a group lunch but, other than that,
everyone will be free to do as they please.
