Sorry for no streams or new artwork posted
Posted 9 years agoBeen feeling ill the last two weeks or so. That explains the lack of ar streams or no new art posted.
I should be fine hopefully. Though I've rarely been this ill this long which is bleh. Is probably the flu or something.

Looking back at 2013 and looking forward to 2014
Posted 11 years agoWarning: might contain rambling
Whew, 2013 was quite an...interesting year for sure. So much happened in such a short span of time. Moved twice very early in the year twice. Stopped with college and since then tried to find work. (Harder then then I thought. I knew finding work would be difficult because of the akward position I'm in, but this hard I hadn't imagined. I'm overqualified for a lot of lesser jobs (you know the kind, working at McDonalds, moving stuff around. They don't want me because I would be too expensive) and for the office job which I studied I'm lacking some key skills which are hard to be learned in a short amount of time. (French).
Now off to stuff that actually really matters: ART
First of all, a HUGE thanks to all the people who commissioned me and supported me, both income wise and mentally. In particular the following people.
tre3tre for his endless barrage at throwing money at me to see more stuff!
Anixen for having endless patience (your thumbnails are coming really soon!)
Zohaku for managing to make me remember Ash's hairstyle by heart. And others as well.
Am I satisfied how 2013 with my art? No, absolutely not. At least the first 6 months of 2013 I found myself being very slowly progressing in artstyle. This had a few reasons however. I was still doing school, which ate most of my free time. The free time I had I spent working on commissions without the aspiration of getting the art to look better.
When school coming to a close and my free time increased a ton and I looked at my art, I started experimenting and improving myself again. Especially working on linearts and stuff. Which did cause an issue with one my commission (Anixen’s). Where one half of the commission was in a older uglier style and the other half was in the newer one. My brilliant idea was to just to redo a bunch of the earlier drawings. Not like that would take that much of time riiight?
… nope
It’s only in the last few months of 2013 where I could really focus in improving my art which accumulated in the last drawing of 2013 (the squirrel one) which turned out really nicely. It’s a good starting point for 2014 as well. It’s not getting to get any worse than that.
Aim for 2014:
More dynamic poses: My poses have been stale for the longest time, I got in a rut of reusing poses because they were the easiest to pull off for me. Will those poses vanish? Of course not, since they are still good poses and will only look better as I can put more ‘movement’ into them. However, I want to more challenging poses, more interesting perspectives and more.
That’s my main focus, there’s of course the obvious (better atonomy, colouring etc)
I won’t stop improving my art until I reach the quality of someone like Niko Geyer. What does this effectively mean for people that commission me? Sometimes with some commissions I might add stuff like backgrounds etc.
Now to end this rambling I want to highlight my best friend’s work:
BlackRobedMage He’s a very talented tf story writer you definitely should check out if you haven’t!

Opened my DeviantArt Page again
Posted 11 years agoAh, a New Year has come! And with the New Year I decided to start submitting drawings again on my DA page which has some benefits compared to FA for the people that care about that stuff.
*Higher resolution in general; FA compresses my drawing to kingdom come when I try to upload the original size drawing. DA happily accepts those. Which is nice!
*DA is more reliable in uptime then FA. Sure, FA has been pretty good the last year or so, but not so long ago there was an outage again and I still want to post my stuff somewhere when that happens. So people can still view it.
*More people seeing my art. Yeah, that's a simple one!
Alright, now the most important link of this journal:

Putting some art in scraps. (a lot of art)
Posted 12 years agoI'm going to put some of the art which are either on the old side or I don't particular like at this point anymore (because well, I improved) into scraps. I won't delete any art however so don't be alarmed if you can't find an image you particulary liked in my normal gallery.
20 years old
Posted 14 years agoYay, 20 years old, that's something I thought I'd never become. Well, up to 30, then 40 and then maybe 400 or longer :)
