-very- long backstory short, I'm in Arizona and I've been here for a month, taking care of my mom and her affairs while she's in the hospital.

The other night I was taking it easy in a local bar at night, I was just planning on having a beer and quietly reading my book. I made some awesome bar friends and we were drinking together. They got me to gather up all my courage and call Aaron. Why was it so scary to call him this time? BECAUSE I PROPOSED TO HIM!!! And guess what, HE SAID YES!

I'M ENGAGED!!!

My bar friends then proceeded to make me a lovely ring out of tin foil for the night, and bought me unlimited celebratory shots (some of these even came in the delivery method of belly shots). It was a fantastic night, filled with love and new friends (who I'll probably never ever see again, haha).


But hooray!!!! I'm engaged to Aaron! I love him so much, we've been together for 5 1/2 years, and he is absolutely my rock in life. He has the magical ability to always make me laugh and feel better about stuff, no matter how rotten it is. And let me tell you this past year my life was been spectacularly rotten. Today is my 5 year anniversary with  sadrice!!

i love him to absolute bits, BITS OF BITS, and I always end up just loving him more and more.

Tonight we ended up at Russian River Brewery, and after splurging our money on lots (and lots) of beer and a fantastically amazing huge pizza from their magical kitchen, which we never do, I am rather toasted and happy. I just have to shout to everyone how much I love this man, he is the absolute most wonderful thing to ever enter into my life. I love him so much!

Man, RF was a blast, I had such a good time hanging out with old friends and meeting new ones. It was a super chill con for me, pretty much just chilling and drinking with people. Our room had SUCH a primo location, super easy access to the stairs, second floor, almost as close as you could get to the con center, and has a pool view. Plus, we were located super close to so many friends, including right next to  tibolf and  fuzzyzf, super convenient to just pop over and drink all their booze :D And right across the hall from  kazulgfox and  frosteefox who brought room service hombau from Seattle <3

I'm sad that I didn't get to hang out with everyone that I wanted to, it seemed like the con went by so fast that I just missed so many people D: I miss all of you! Way too many people to call everyone out, but you know who you are! <3 <3 Thanks for making my con such a blast, LOVES!

Three words about RF: we drank EVERYTHING

This year was absolutely off the hook, I can't even tell you guys how much love I have for everyone.
This con was just food con :D Got lunch at some awesome burger place outside of Seattle with  mooglepower  kijanilion and tons of other peeps, sushi with  nicodemusrat, 13 Coins, and THE BEST night out comprised of amazing German food and beer at my favorite place in Seattle with  aeto,  frysco,  ichiblack,  jollyzjackal,  skyote and lots of other awesome people I met there, and then went out to Dilettante and got amazing chocolate martinis.
oh! And our badass pimpin' airport food/drink bill of almost $200 with Ichi, Jolly,  hallet and  keyomi just 4 hours of nonstop food, beer, and mojitos <3

Other highlights include climbing and riding a giant inflatable whale in the pool, suiting, partying, lime things, getting super fancy for the GoH dinner, squeaky tits, bird bladder, and just SO MANY friends that I can't even being to shout out because you're just all so awesome! I met so many new people and I can't remember all your names, but I had so much fun!

It's been A LOT of work, with the typical hazards of trying to lug all the furniture (including a mattress and long heavy couch) up 3 flights of stairs. Blood, tears, and sweat were sacrificed to the new apartment gods, but it was so worth it!

Yesterday we finished with most of all the decorating, furniture placing, putting pictures up, and cleaning, and now it's finally starting to feel like home. We even have a really sweet, decent sized balcony that overlooks a distant mountain range, and since we're on the top floor with no other tall buildings around we've got pretty much all the privacy you could want.

Yeah, I'm gonna go sit out on my balcony now with a beer, congratulate myself on a job well done, and nurse all the wounds I have accumulated over the past few days :P

Sorry guys, this might be TMI for you, I dunno.

Ladies! I'm just putting my feelers out for what various types of birth control you are on (if you are on any, obviously).
I'm going to be switching asap, away from Ocella. I originally was on Yaz, asked my doctor to put me on something else since Yaz was really messing me up, and I ended up with Ocella. Turns out, Ocella is a generic of Yaz, both of them being drospirenones, which I do not want.

I'm looking into and considering maybe getting the implanon or nexplanon implant, since they're progestin only, with no estrogen, which seems wonderful to me.

So, just curious about what you other birth control ladies are on?

Oh man guys, Mexico was so freaking amazing!
Every day I ran 2 miles early in the morning, then went for a swim in the pool, then ate some delicious breakfast. holy crap the food there was so amazing!!! My stomach was definitely distended on more than one occasion :3

Also did a LOT of hanging out on the beach and swimming in the ocean. I did a zip lining trip (through the set/location of the Predator movie), a hike out in the jungle, and an AWESOME 2 hour (each way) catamaran boat ride out to an island where I did some snorkeling and beach combing. Got myself a really nice tan and only got burned once on the first day there, YEAH SCORE!

Ooo, I also went tequilla tasting, and tried way more interesting ones than I did last time I went tasting. Tried a bunch of ones that were aged for different periods of time in various whiskey and cognac barrels, it was quite interesting. I ended up coming home with a bottle of an 11 month Repasado aged in a cognac barrel, it's not as sweet as others, but has a really nice flavor and no burn (it's for sipping not shooting).

Hm, other than that, it was mainly palling around with my mom and friendwife Alice in downtown Puerto Vallarta, along the beach promenade or exploring around in the old town. I ended up finding this neat tiny little leather shop where I ended up buying this old leather purse that this guy said his dad made.

Alice ended up finding someone who worked at the hotel, whose mum makes amazing tamales, and secured some for us. Oh the deliciousness.

Sad thing, during our last night there, I got ridiculously stomach sick. I didn't even know the human stomach was capable of expelling that much liquid and bile. D:
At least I got everything out of my system, even though I was up until like 5 stuck in the bathroom, before I got on the plane.
But oh god talk about a trip home from hell. Puerto Vallarata airport being what it is, we had to wait in line for about 2 hours to check in, then our plane was delayed, then they switched the gates but wouldn't tell us what the new gate was. We finally got on, and I'm just already feeling terrible, and there are no less than 10 screaming babies. Then due to bad weather in San Francisco, we get stuck circling up in the air for about another hour, then when we finally land, there is a problem with the jetway so we're stuck on the plane for another half hour, this time with the engines turned off, no airflow, and no doors open....so hot....with screaming children. When we FINALLY got out of the plane, mum and I couldn't figure out where to go for our hotel shuttle, and end up standing outside in the freezing rain for another 30 minutes waiting for the shuttle (with no jacket, those are in our suitcases and Mexico ziptied them shut). We FIIIINALLY make it to the hotel, and I promplty passed out.

Now I'm home, and while I'm over my stomach thing, I'm super sick again, I seem so have caught my mom's terrible cold. *huddles under blankets*.


TL:DR, Mexico was BADASS!!!! I got sick :<
