Sabrewolf News and Such
Posted 8 months agoHellos everyone! I have a lot going on, but I like to keep ya'll informed instead of just working away in the word mines. I'm thinking I might do something like this once a quarter just to keep anyone interested abreast of the situation, especially since there is just so much information scattered about. I have them all arranged by the brand that they're under, and if you don't know what fits under which brand I'll do a little primer ahead of time.
Smilodon Studio
- Clean books, games, and other SFW projects.
Since this is the main umbrella of everything else, there's really not much going on that's attributed to this particular brand yet. However I am planning on doing some novels that are going to be personal SFW books, and also potentially Shiftcore comics that are SFW will be posted here as well. Personal writing days are going to be Fridays, and they're starting now. Also videos under the serathin YouTube channel will be linked to Smilodon Studio as well, since they will be SFW too.
Black Phoenix Productions
- Adult books and stories, including commissions.
So here is probably the main focus for the next few months, getting all the commissions I have done. I still plan on trying to hit that 3m word mark, and I certainly have the motivation to do it. Though I'm making more time now for other things I still want this to be the main focus until the point where I'm pretty much caught up, possibly even go full clean queue. So far, books are placed a bit on hold for the moment. With everything else going on and other projects taking the forefront, books are kind of taking a backseat. Plus I'm pulling back a little more from conventions, which was where the majority of these books are sold, so it's unlikely there are going to be a lot of books being put out. Not to mention I already have over 50 of them published already, so a little break won't be bad.
Talon, Tooth, and Paw
- Video games
We have TTaP still moving forward, but between all three of us (Ravensflock and Darkwitt) having stuff going on in our life and the unfortunate result of Ren'Py not handling what we needed, things have been slow. I am learning Unity, and while we had always planned on TTaP moving in that direction, this is a rather abrupt move. We're going to be moving Freelance Deity and Escape From the Factory to Unity, and it's on me to really focus and get some training in. I have Tuesdays and Thursdays blocked currently for that sort of thing.
Shiftcore Webcomics
- Webcomic collective
Not much to say on this one, the patreon and website are set up and just going to be doing some advertising on FA. Network Integration and Identity Crisis are coming along at a healthy clip, and though City of Origin slowed down a bit we're still getting pages from that and Moonshine. Phoenix Unleashed will resume once my twitch stuff is done and we'll soon have Libra-11 with Sales Pitch coming too. There is a lot of activity going on, at this phase it's more getting support now that's the focus.
Sabrewolf Cafe
- Sabrewolf Cafe will be open on April 7th! Going to be the start of leaning a little more into streaming and such, I do really enjoy it and if I can make a presence there then I think it would help with a lot of other things. We have a great theme implemented already and looking forward to going into this as more than just a hobby. The planned schedule for the streams is Mon, Tue, Thurs, Fri from 3pm to 7pm CST. I'm also going to be working with an editor for videos and such and potentially attempting some IRL content as well, mostly dressing up in Fursuit and doing games or something like that.
That's it I think, lots of exciting stuff coming up. ^. .^ Going to be a lot of work, but should be fun!

Commission Information
Posted 8 months agoI realize it's been a while since I've sort of put out information about what I write, and with uploading slowing down a bit while getting all the backlog done I thought I would put things out there. I'm also attempting to get enough commissions to pay off a pretty substantial debt over the year, looking to get some serious writing done while setting up everything else.
So what do I write?
Short answer is pretty much anything. While I do specialize in transformation I can do pretty much anything, and the same for m/m pairings I can do others as well. Male, female, intersex, monster, all things like that are on the table. I've done a few male-female pairings, and I'm interested in doing some female-female stuff too. I also can do SFW and NSFW, I know most of my stuff is decidedly in the latter, but I wouldn't mind doing some things.
As for types of concepts, once again I do pretty much anything save for what's on my Will Not Write list on my TOS (which I would suggest reading).
If you have any questions on a topic that you would want me to write, just ask!
My rates are $0.03/word, but at the end of this year I'm looking to increase them significantly. The reason is I'm trying to move away from commission writing as my primary source of income and focus on things like my streaming and game development. That's why everything is wide open right now, with the May block still pretty much empty.
So if you want a story at the current rate, I wouldn't wait. Whether it's a short story or a book I can probably write it for you.

Singal boost: friend needs help
Posted 8 months agoShiftcore wants YOU! (webcomic artists)
Posted 8 months agoHey, are you a webcomic artist that is looking for a place to put it? Don't want to deal with your site? Shiftcore has its own website, and with getting the hang of things I'm opening up to upload other comics from furries as well. They can be SFW or NSFW, and while most of Shiftcore's webcomics are TF related it doesn't have to be the case for yours. Along with space in the catalogue on Shiftcore's website there will be a link to any patreon or to your FA site that you want to include.
It'd be free for you to host, and all rights and such to your comic are still yours, but hopefully we could create a nice webcomic community that is mutually beneficial. If you are interested let me know, either through telegram or discord, and we'll get started! Hopefully this is the start of something awesome, we'll see!

Want a commission?
Posted 8 months agoAs previously mentioned, I'm looking to get 3,000,000 words done in the next ten months (technically 2,700,000 if we count Jan and Feb), which will settle my last major debt. The thing is, I'm going to need those words commissioned! March and April are already filled, but I know that it can be rough trying to get everything filled up for the year, so I'm going to be completely open and assign words to month blocks. I have 300,000 words set aside per month, and all commissions brought in will go into a month until it's full, then it'll move on to the next month to fill up that next space. So if you want a 40,000 word commission and May only has 20,000 words, then it will move to June, but if it's only 5,000 words then it'll still be in May.
The commissions will need to be paid for in the month that you're set in. Payment plans can be offered, as long as they're paid by the time that the month rolls around, and if you are a patreon and you get free words they can be used here too. Just contact me via note or telegram in order to get one.
Current commission block openings are set for May.

Shiftcore has a website now!
Posted 9 months agoFor all those that enjoy Shiftcore but don't want to go all over FA looking about for pages, all the public ones are now on their own website! Still have some designing to do, but I want to get these sites up to functional before too long. Up next is the Crafty Sabrewolf
Also Shiftcore has a new mascot, which is also my new OC! So go check out Sibu, once I get him up there. He's a gooey, rubbery jackal.

Big Update
Posted 9 months agoHey everyone!
So as the title explained, this is sort of a big update on everything that is going on, what the rest of my year looks like, and projects that are in development. I'm going to try and make each category as small as possible, but I have been known to ramble.
So for the rest of the year I'm continuing on with my three block schedule, and really going to hunker down on it. There is so much that I want to get done this year, and while I have been doing pretty good so far, I really want to keep pushing further. The list of goals is as possible:
- Write 3,000,000 words
- Publish 12 books
- Learn Unity
- Significantly expand microgame portfolio for Talon, Tooth, and Paw
- Build websites for Smilodon Studio, Black Phoenix Productions, Crafty Sabrewolf, and Shiftcore
- Officially open Sabrewolf Cafe
- Start the Atlantis Rising campaign
- Keep the momentum and start advertising Shiftcore
- Lose 80 pounds
In order to try and accommodate I'm only doing one con for the rest of the year, which is IndyFurCon. Other than that I'm probably going to be mostly going hermit mode and working to get everything above done. I know I'll probably not get everything to where I go, but I'm still going to try and optimize my schedule to get as much done as possible. That involves 12 hour days, 6 days a week. I'd also like to squeeze in learning art, language, or music, but that's more of a hobby. The 3 million words is because I'm looking to pay off my last major debt besides mortgage, and even if I get half that it would be a sizable chunk.
So what does that mean? As I mentioned above the words that are being commissioned and written will provide the financial security to make sure that even if things go south that we will be covered. It also means a ton of writing for you guys to see, including books which need to be published. Learning Unity and expanding microgames is to make sure that myself, Ravensflock, and Darkwitt have a chance to really make something that will get out there, and potentially have a viable furry gaming company out there. The same for Shiftcore; not only does it mean that I can support all the artists that I currently have doing webcomics but can hopefully replace commission writing as my primary source of income. As for the Sabrewolf Cafe... that is mostly for my own personal ability to build a community and have some fun.
With things getting increasingly hectic around here posting may be less when it comes to here and SoFurry, as much as I want to keep putting stuff out there I need to keep rolling so that I can accomplish everything that I want. Also communication might get a bit more flighty, and in doing so I may need to be poked a little more often, but I do want to talk to peeps. The one caveat is that on Sundays I'm going to completely disconnect; I need one day to reset and prepare for the week ahead, so I probably won't be seen around here except maybe to do some light posting. It's going to be quite the year, but the result will be worth it even if I get only half that list accomplished.
So... yeah, that's about it. ^. .^ Thank you everyone for all the support so far to make this possible, and if you want to do so then check out my patreon for Serathin, Shiftcore, and Talon, Tooth, and Paw to support these various projects and see all sorts of fun furry content.

Nexus Party Anthology slots open! See below!
Posted 9 months agoSo I have a $3k business debt that is going to start accruing in May, and I want to try and head it off at the pass with opening for this anthology. Thankfully without a current paypal loan I just need that amount without anything but fees taken out, so I want to try and get this all out at once. This is going to be a first come, first serve anthology.
The Nexus Realm has realized that it hasn't quite celebrated the end of the Nexus Wars, so they're going to throw a huge party at the Nexross. Of course they need some guests of honor, mostly to show off and show up the others since some habits die hard, and that's where you come in. Each realm gets one guest, which will be personally transformed and morphed into an ideal trophy minion. Make sure to see the spheres of influence when deciding on a minion.
Just comment below to claim a nexus lord: $150/5k words, $300/10k words, or anywhere in between. Any species, any gender to start (will tf to male). Can be SFW/NSFW except for the last one, which is SFW.
Note: I had initially offered this on my patreon, and most of the nexus lords were taken. These guys still need dates though!
Kirdos: Living Statue/Felines
Modino: Spandex/Bovines
Santer: Leather/Equines
Jerkah: Food/Reptiles
Edit: Only Kirdos is left!

Enjoy the webcomics? Join Shiftcore!
Posted 10 months agoHey everyone! So as you've seen on the FA we have quite a few webcomic pages that have come from it, and in order to fund such a thing I had the ruby sabrewolf tier.
Well, this project has it's own patreon now! There is a couple of reasons why; for those who want the webcomics but not my game or writing, it makes it easier to see for the purpose of paying artists, and it also prevents patreon from striking down my actual patreon since they happen to be a little more trigger happy banning comics and such. While it's going to be a slight pain running two accounts I believe that the idea of having a weekly updates but with different comics and artists so that the artists can still do their own things plus get out a page or two a month. I'm hoping that it builds up so that we can even more pages and artists on board, but we'll see!

Belated Birthday and update
Posted 10 months agoSo yeah, it was my birthday! Whee! Hard to believe that I'm almost at the big 40, but not there yet!
To be honest I hardly recognized the passing due to being so busy. Not just writing either, though a big part of this month and the next is going to be getting the backlog squared away, but also things like working on Talon, Tooth, and Paw as well as my webcomic project that's having some major new developments. At this point I'm hoping to get three major projects done by the end of the month: An almost 200k book, the Jerkah's Menu book, and the Werewolf Anthology. It's a lot of work, and I've been doing some smaller side stories, but in the first half of January I cleared 75k words, which is not bad. With no longer doing Iron Pens my word count has dropped significantly, but I'm also starting to do things like actually getting books edited and published as well as working on my website and a few other things.
I've also started a little work on the streaming and YouTube side of things, a passion project that I've wanted to get off the ground for a while now. The Sabrewolf Cafe, my twitch platform, is coming along quite nicely, and while I've abridged my streaming schedule to do more words it's still going pretty well. I've also been getting the capabilities to do fursuit streaming, but that's a project further down the line. I also resolved to lose a lot of weight this year for a few purposes, and so far that's been going fairly decent too.
That's it, just wanted to give a bit of an update. I'll probably be very quiet while I work on getting the writing backlog that I had after being sick for so long done.

Happy New Year!
Posted 11 months agoAs we start to settle into 2025 and leave 2024 behind I'm hoping for a very productive year in a number of different areas. Here's to a new year full of optimism and happiness for all!
Full synopsis here: https://www.patreon.com/posts/end-o.....2024-118994515
Also for those interested there are two diamond sabrewolf slots open for those who wish to get commissions as well as all the other rewards for the patreon.

All caught up!
Posted 11 months agoWell, it took a while, but I managed to get everything caught up with both here and Patreon so that it's now a month behind. Hopefully I can keep up the pace and that way I don't have to put down a deluge of new stories, and as usual as the comic pages drop on patreon they'll drop here five pages behind. Now it's time to take in the backlog and work hard to get all that stuff done before the new year so we can celebrate in style!
Comic purchase per page available via patreon
Posted a year agoSo patreon is allowing for one-time purchases of posts, and I've decided that when it comes to the comic pages if anyone wants to look ahead but doesn't want any of the other rewards they can now choose to purchase per page. The ruby sabrewolf tier still grants access to all the pages as well as stories and games, which will not be priced to sell.

New Scheduling and Commissions
Posted a year agoHello everyone,
So this was something that I was going to roll out before but got waylaid when getting sick and such, but going to put this up now since I had a few questions about commissions and such. The biggest thing is that I won't be doing any more official Iron Pens; while they were nice while they lasted they don't do much for my twitch and it's getting harder to sit like that for twelve hours at a time. So instead I'll be moving to a three block schedule, basically moving to three sets of four hours where I can put my schedule into it. At the moment and probably to the end of the year it'll be doing all writing, mostly to work through the backlog that happened with the sickness and scare acting.
What does this mean with commissions? Commissions are now perpetually open; I'll be scheduling 25k per week, or about 100k per month at a minimum. As the queue fills it'll be put into the writing queue on a week to week basis where stories will fill the slots as they are put in. Patreon words will be considered first and then standard commissions, though things will still be on a first come first serve basis. Since I don't really get flooded with commissions I think keeping things open will work instead of just opening slots, though if I do get overwhelmed then I can revisit it later.
Right now I'm currently booked up into December and as I mentioned I will be doing mostly writing for the next two months. For those that want a commission the schedule will go into January and I can keep adding into the queue. I have something on my discord that records such a thing and will also be making a trello for such a thing as well. If you'd like a commission the best way to reach me is telegram, or you can use discord or even note me here.

Update on sabrewolf sickness and support request
Posted a year agoHello everyone,
It's been a heck of a month, and currently typing this on my phone while still recovering. It started with me trying my hand at scare Acting, and though it was fun it did impact my productivity. As time went on I got scheduled more and more, but as we rolled into Oct. I planned on using the scare Acting money to subsist and then made a bunch of plans of an intense writing schedule while taking advantage of the stamina gains from scare Acting to get healthy. Everything was planned out...
...and then an old lady coughed in my face during a scare.
The very next day I felt ill, and by the third day I was in bed with coughing fits. I had to quit the scare Acting gig and eventually go to the hospital, where they said it was either an upper respiratory infection or virus. I was given a bunch of meds and my lungs were clear enough to go home. Unfortunately with having childhood asthma my lungs are not in great condition and susceptible to these types of problems.
The meds were working a bit better than the OTC stuff, but just as I felt I might make a turn I had a strong reaction to the meds. I won't gross you out with the details but it resulted in more days of being bedridden. Today is the first day I've held anything down and still can't do much. So it's been three weeks of missed productivity and probably another few days to a week to stop coughing without meds and rehab properly.
So basically all my plans have been shot to hell; I didn't get anything those last two weeks and my queue is full with no way to work on it, not to mention expenses incurred. Thay's what leads me to the difficult decision to put out my tip links and ask for a bit of help. If you appreciate my work and extensive gallery then anything would be appreciated, all funds would go to paying bills incurred and dampening this somewhat intensive income loss.
I rarely ask for anything straight up like this, and I'm not in dire straits, but anything tossed my way will be super appreciated and can help extend the recovery process. I have shiniest through here, my paypal me link, and Kofi. Boosting appreciated as well.
Thanks for listening, and claws crossed I get over whatever the hell sickness this is.

Sick and such
Posted a year agoSo I know I was paused on updating stuff here anyway, but been very sick for the last week or so with a bad upper respiratory infection. I pretty much had to cut my scare acting season short and basically been on the road of recovery. Hoping by the time I am supposed to be back I'll be better again but fingers crossed.
Cameo slot offer for City of Origin!
Posted a year agoWe're still at the starting bid, and considering it's two pages drawn by
kento267 and turning into a sabredrone that's quite the deal! Bids are still wide open!

Sabrewolf Support Means
Posted a year agoSo with certain plans falling through I wanted to put out that the best way to support my efforts at the moment is through my patreon/subscribestar. If you've been looking to get commissions from me and want to put on a payment plan essentially then I have new tiers that allow you to gain words to use for commissions! I'm hoping to make this my primary means of getting commissions through word counts, and not only do you gain words every month but considering all the other rewards that are given you'll be getting them at a substantial discount. I currently have tiers for 500, 1,000, and 2,500 word counts, so depending on how fast you want a commission those tiers could be right for you!
The second thing is that my patreon is currently the main means of support for the webcomic series that I am building up here. While I've been extremely pleased with how the comics have been going so far getting pages in this manner is still quite expensive, and if you're enjoying the series here I would highly appreciate any sort of support. If you do the $20 tier or above you get to see these series five pages ahead, which with four different comics means you'll have a total of twenty pages that you can see! Not to mention if support grows for the comics I can utilize more artists to get more webcomics done, so that means you get even more bang for your buck.
If you enjoy the work that I post on here please consider tossing a few dollars my way. It is through patreon and commissions that I'm able to sustain myself doing this type of work full-time and if you like the amount of work I post here than you can help make it happen. At this point I would also like to thank those that are already part of the patreon or have gotten a commission from me, without you none of what I'm doing would be possible.

Evolving Sitations
Posted a year agoHello everyone,
So! It's been quite the eventful month so far. The biggest thing is that an application that I had put in for a scare actor about a month ago, something I thought was going nowhere, had been accepted and I'll be working at a haunted attraction for the season. That means about two months of increasing work and right in the middle of the Iron Pen, which was not something that I had expected. This was also compiled with the fact that Kitty is potentially getting a significant promotion that might be changing the direction of how things work here. Though we're still waiting on that conclusion for that it's looking rather good, but that we will need to wait for.
Regardless of the situation and with how I was a bit rather nervous that had caused me to stall in my writing, so whether or not Kitty gets the promotion I decided to shift things about when it comes to the writing schedule of things. I had thought about continuing on the Iron Pen even while doing the scare acting but things have already fallen behind and as we get closer to Halloween my free time will be even more limited. So I've decided to essentially cancel this Iron Pen and make the next one in November a sure thing. I had mentioned that if Kitty had gotten the promotion then I wouldn't have any more Iron Pens, but at the very least I want to get a clean queue by the end of the year and once I'm done with this gig on Nov. 4th I can do those three weeks for Iron Pen.
I will be still writing and attempting to do 5k, maybe even 10k to help catch up, but the other reason for doing this other then my new temporary work schedule is because we have a few projects from Talon, Tooth, and Paw. One is a Halloween VN based on the Bal'Kar and the other is a deduction style choices-matter narrative game in a similar style to Phoenix Wright's trial system. If I kept on the Iron Pen I would have to extend it at least another week or work weekends, and I would rather not do that if I can help it. Plus I can also get done with the two books that I had in the editing process.
That is all, I may still be doing the planned werewolf anthology, Fourteen Werewolf Tales, but other then that what I have on my queue will probably be what I have for the end of the year.

September Iron Pen active
Posted a year agoSo I know we're not quite at the time yet, but soon the draconic sabrewolf will be disappearing into the aether in order to work on the Iron Pen for September. There are a lot of words currently on the queue so focus is paramount if we want to have a strong finish to the year, basically looking to get about 500k words done by the time October rolls around. Other then one or two minor things I probably won't be interrupted much and I'll also be doing some streaming on the Sabrewolf cafe so that I can get some community talk in. That being said this page is probably going to be rather quiet for the next month or so, other then maybe uploading something on the weekend things here will be pretty stagnant as far as posting or updates.
I will still be posting things on Patreon obvi and all the new work will probably go there, so a lot nice work being uploaded there.
That is all.

Roadmap for Smilodon Studio
Posted a year agoHey everyone!
It's been quite a summer, but things are starting to wind down and I'm going to be settling in for a long fall and winter of working and creating writing and such. As such, one thing that I wanted to do was be thankful for everyone who has been supporting me with commissions, buying my books, and so on. It's been an enormous help and with costs going up it's the only thing that's been keeping me from raising up my prices for commissions to keep them as affordable as possible. Now that I've moved into webcomics, though, it's more important than ever to put up things like this, raising support for raising ambitions.
With the webcomic project starting to push into pages entering more into the public space and showing off what we're working on, City of Origins already having a few pages with Network Integration right behind and Moonrise/Identity Crisis catching up quick, but I really would like to keep expanding this project. Unfortunately with the four I have and one in the wings that I'm budgeting for I reached the limit of what I can support. That being said I want to make a big push and am hoping that I can get some more support between Patreon and Subscribstar.
That's why I'm looking to grow them to 5k.
Why the sudden push? The big reason is because I want to keep growing the webcomic project. The thought of having a means to update here or a webside once or twice a week without risking artist burnout is something that I really want to try, and while we're up to about once a week for the various pages I would love to push more. Also with current expenses mounting I need to build more to also accomadate for things like book covers (game stuff is covered through TTaP), and also growing expenses to keep my commission prices down. The reason for moving to webcomics is a number of reasons:
- It's quicker to create a comic script then write a commission. While I very much enjoy writing I've been having to take on more and more words as well as expand my Iron Pen. If this webcomic project took off then I could back away from doing such strenuous work and maybe even Iron Pens all together.
- It helps furry artists. Long term projects are usually quite benefitical to the artists involved, and I'm sure the four that are currently working with me can appreciate knowing that they have a guarenteed commissioner for at least one page a month.
- People enjoy comics very much. In today's fast paced world it's hard to sit down and enjoy a story, much less a book, so I want to move into a medium that I think a lot of people would appreciate while still leaving myself time to write.
- It provides me with variety for conventions. I sell mostly books at cons, but having some comics there I think would be great to break up that and the candles that I sell which I make as a hobby.
There are other reasons too, but those are the big ones. So I want to put this out here as a means of showing where my patreon money is going and hopefully get more people interested. While the $20 tier has the webcomics as well as the games, stories, polls, and cameos there are plenty of options on lower tiers in order to support this project as well as my endeavors. Every little bit helps and is appreciated and if we get to 5k that would free up a ton of time and bandwith on my end as it would mean an official end to the Iron Pens (though I may do a week or so here and there if I have a big project or backlog I want to get done quick).
So TL;DR I want to thank all those that have supported me, and with my expanded audience and new project I'm hoping to bring in some new eyes to help fund more projects from more furry artists! Also for our ruby sabrewolves the price doesn't go up but you'll get more pages if we can get to that benchmark, so more bang for the buck.
