All day I've just been like "oh ye I'm 24", but then I remember that I'm only 23 and my birthday isn't till August

Ahh I got the job at Walmart Lawn and Garden Center~

It's just a temp job at the moment, but it means that I'll be working outside(ish), among plants and such, and also means that streams are going to be happening less often. I will probably still do them, but up my prices a bit and have them for fewer hours.

Until things are more stable, my streams will only be for completing work that is already paid for and for my own work as well at times. Please forgive me if I'm a little slow at times, I'm feeling a bit burnt out.

Today is my day off of streaming, but my gf,  octodog is taking some commissions tonight for only $7!

If I were to do a short-ish tutorial, what would you guys like to see it of? I know I'm not the BEST artist out there, but there are plenty of things that I think I could help people with.

I would just like to know what you guys think I'm good enough to instruct in, and what people need most.

I'm going to start charging $7.00 per sketch rather than $5. Just a couple extra bucks, and the same quality, but seeing how hectic this week has been and will be for me, I think it will be for the best.

The stream for today and tomorrow might be at weird times due to medical- and job-related things, but I definitely plan on getting on for a few hours.

Oh, and the new prices obviously don't affect anyone who has already paid.

I'm not really accepting trades right now

I have no job, and I work 5 days of the week on streaming commissions, usually around 5-9 hours per day, and we still have it rough making ends meet. So right now, anyone asking for trades will be denied, I am very sorry.

It's not that I don't like your art. It isn't that I don't like you. I just can't. I'm very tired and worn out and it's all I can do to manage to draw something for myself on my two days off.

Maybe later, when I get a bigger customer base and my sketches are more expensive, then I can have a smaller workload and then I will have more time for trading and all, but I don't foresee that happening anytime soon.

I'll probably make a Streaming pic to upload when I start streaming again, but for the next few days my times should be roughly

Waist-up Sketches are still $5, and take about an hour each, though I am trying to work on lowering my sketch time without lowering quality.

I have decided that until I get a normal person job, I will be taking the time to stream any time  octodog is at work. This will give me multiple hours, most days of the week(at the time, she has Mondays and Wednesdays off, and so shall I).

I plan on trying to figure out her weekly scheduling and post times at which I will be on(it will be different each week, of course). Tomorrow will be from around 5pm-10pm(GMT-06:00) Central America.

I'll be doing a few pictures for my friend, Remmy, and doing a couple drawing that I owe before taking Pay What You Want Commissions.

I hope to try and get my computer working better with Livestream/Procaster so that I can have one url to post for the stream, so I can avoid having a lot of repostings, and so that I can just make one large price sheet for what you should expect when sending in certain amounts of money.

I've heard a lot of good things about sending invoices to customers rather than giving them your e-mail and sending money. Anyone have any experiences with invoices? Should I do them as well?

I don't usually get many watchers, and my computer is a slow dinosaur, so generally Join.Me works just fine.

However, as of tonight, I'd like to start doing more regular streaming sessions with low priced art for sale(mostly sketchy/headshot stuff), at least until I get a normal job. I plan on advertising not only on FA(as I have in the past), but also on my three active tumblrs and perhaps even DA(where I have a small following due to drawing some fanart).

There is a chance of actually getting 10+ people in stream at once(I doubt it, but yeah, a chance!), and livestream/procaster is just too taxing on my computer for me to actually do any art while it is running. Especially if I have my browser running.

I am looking into Xsplit, but it says I am not allowed to gain revenue on a free account and I don't want to break the rule, but I just don't have the money for it at the moment(that happens with not having a job for 2+ months).

I'd love to hear what people think, both as artists who might use streaming programs themselves and as potential customers. I want everyone to feel welcome and not be unable or unwilling to join just because of a program I choose to use.

The only other thing I can think of to offer that I would enjoy doing/would turn out any good would be monotone(ish) icons in a style similar to this for $10, buy one get one half off, no limit. (So couples would be only $15, and buying four of them would be $30, and they can be couples or just seperate icons, idc)

Cleaning the bathroom. I have an apron and face mask and usually have gloves, and then I got at the fuckin place with bleach.

Anything FPS. The gameplay is all the same, and the storylines are either ripped out of history or not stellar, and they're usually too hard for me, since I have bad sight in my right eye, so I can't aim well. All in all, not a pleasant experience.

PC. Used a Mac in college and it just sucked.

Honestly it's been a long time since anyone made fun of me because I hide all of my everything. But I am a little ashamed of my Homestuck fandom. I imagine if more people knew about it, I might catch crap.

I hate that there is so much fucking discrimination based on how you look. Especially towards women. People won't hire you if you don't look a certain way(at regular stores even, not just clothes stores or as a model or whatever).

And the fact that they're bitching about there being plenty of jobs open in America, but they're all open for professionals or people with experience, and getting experience or training is really hard to do without UHM HAving A JOB TO PAY FOR IT, and no one is willing to offer experience to beginners.

Sure won't be anything t just want you to know that I might be scarce for a little while!

My roomie,  merr, reformatted my computer, and that took like a whole six hours or so, but it's nice and clean now~

However, apparently the external harddrive I used to back up everything is somehow corrupted SO

I have no way to access them currently! Thankfully, the one thing I had started on has a sketch uploaded to photobucket and I can just rip from there to finish it, but it means I have nothing at all otherwise. Nada. I don't even have SAI right now, really, since I'm using Merr's laptop for drawing but the gf uses it for LoL. So drawing time and stuff is limited for the time being but I'll probs bug the gf to put SAI back on this computer.

I'll let you know what happens!

EDIT: This computer is up and running, ready to be used for art and all sorts of things~ Nothing yet on the external, but that's ok, just gives me more reason to draw some.

Your character should be:
Preferably human or feline, or at least have a humanoid nose.
Interesting, design-wise. This really just means no "generic face syndrome". I like noses and jaws and stuff, all in different styles.

You should be:
Of a similar skill-level to me(but also don't undersell yourself fff).
Willing and able to draw humanoid or reptilian type faces.
Willing to trade for a full-colored headshot to bust, or a lined or otherwise cleaned fullbody(negotiable).
Able to complete your half promptly. As in, in less than a month. I hold myself to the same schedule.

I will be choosing tomorrow at some point, whenever I get a chance to get online. If I don't choose you, it won't be because I hate you or that your art is awful either, alrighty? I'm just gonna be picky cuz these headshots can tak me upwards of 5-6 hours at times, and I usually do them all in one sitting.

So I've been doing all of my sketches recently with the Oil brush in SAI, and it's been weirding me out because it apparently changes color randomly? Like, I'm using yellow-brown atm, and it changes to a red-brown and sometimes a dark brown for no reason? It's a completely blank new canvas even, so there are no previous colors placed on the canvas for it to draw from and when I move the picture, the colors stay in the same place(on the drawing) so it isn't just my screen like I had previously thought.

It's very distracting, and the fact that I don't know why it's happening makes me a little worried? When I choose a color, it's usually not to get three different colors at random, so idk? Has anyone else experienced this? What is going on even? D:

But I am really unable to decide what kind of snake is my fave. There are a bajillion and a half types of snakes out there(rough estimate), and I just want... to pick a favorite. Or at least a few favorites! What I am NOT looking for would be constrictors or rattlers. I like those alright, since they are still snakes, but chances are I won't find any single one to be my favorite. I prefer things like pit vipers or cobras or sea snakes or whatever.

If you have links to pictures, that would be best. Information would help a lot too, since I want to really KNOW the snake I am using.

I realized this when someone told me it was the year of the snake again.

By this time in her life, my mom was preggorz with me.

I am not nearly as good at art as I wanted to be by 24. *sigh* I can't even keep focus long enough to improve. I want polish, and finish, and believable light and form. Once I move and get commissions done and such, I think it'll be time to buckle down and focus on real improvement.
