...is less than a week away. Who's going and are you ready?
I'm almost ready. I just have this bustle to complete for my Victorian style Mangle from Five Night's at Freddy's and I'm done. However I wont be going the whole weekend. I work at Vons now so I can only go days 1 and 4 cuz I can't get July 3 and 4 off cuz it's a major BBQ holiday. So were going to be super busy those days and they need all hands on deck. Oh well, more money is always good. :) Plus I can go at least half those days depending on my schedule. I'll find out what it is this weekend.

I'm not going. :(

I have work this evening so I can't make it this time. *sigh* hopefully I work earlier or get the day off next month. And I can bring my puppy next month for all of you to meet cuz she gets spayed in a week or so. Yay she can finally go out and I wont have to worry. :) so see you in July.

So I went to Califur again this past weekend and I had a great time. I got there on thursday night with and Zero since we had our hotel starting that night. I was happy they did day 0 badge pick ups this year. I don't remember them doing this in the past. really made it much easier to get my badge cuz I had to go to work the next day and I didn't return to the con until 7pm that night. Anyway back to day 0. brought his X-wing collection so we played a match before I left that night. I think we managed to get Zero interested in X-wing now. yay for more friends interested in playing this awesome game. :D but I had my ass handed to me on a silver platter in the one match I played. I'm not good and making my own builds or anything. which is why i tend to get others to make them for me and teach me how to use them. that's how i ended up with a pretty good pokemon team. :P anyway, so I had to leave thursday night to be at work the next morning. ugh, oh well, it means more money so it was cool. XD

So I returned to the con on friday at 7pm, and since I couldn't be in the pet auction this year cuz I couldnt be there for sign ups, but I still got to support the cause by buying someone, and I bought mah mate. Hee hee, that was an interesting evening. :3 And then it ended with more board games in the hotel room, this one being my groups fav, Quelf. OMG that game is just hilarious and, yeah you need to play it if you haven't yet. XD

Day 2, got to wear the Allen suit around and participate in the fursuit parade this time. I'm happy i got to this year, cuz i missed it last year. Thanks to for being my handler for the parade. It was fun walking with you. :3 was there taking my pic of course. XD I'm always happy to pose for ya Drachie. :3 Then I got to go swimming after changing back into human form. XD LOL I don't normally go swimming at cons cuz im usually too busy derping around in suit/cosplay so this was a first for me. it was fun, and I found and Ian at the pool and we got to hang out up in the hotel room. And I also got to show off my new shiny Umbreon kigurumi. I loves mah kigu. :3 I might bring it to AX on one of the days I can't be at the con for long cuz I has new job and can't take all the time for it. DX It's ok, like I said before, more monies.

So day 3, got to wear the Allen suit some more and got more compliments on how adorable and well made he is. It feels great when people compliment your work, especially since this is what you want to do as a career. :D Got to hang out with for a little bit. I kinda wish we could've spent a little more time together, but we have AX to look forward to next and hopefully we can hang out some more then. I bought some art in the dealers hall and even the art auction. funny thing is, I didn't have to bid. the artist took back his pieces since they didnt sell, but I fell in love with one of them so I just bought it off of him. it really is a beautiful piece, and I just need to find room on my wall to hang it. until them it's hanging out on my kitchen counter cuz my mom loves it too. XD I might end up hanging it in the living room since she likes it so much. :3 and the con ended with me being introduced to another board game, munchkin. it's cool, but I still need to learn how to play it. XD

So I had a great time, even if the con started late for me since I had to work the first day. I had a great time wearing my fursuit around as I always do. I love wearing him and my other suits. They really are what make me, me. And I'm super excited about where this con is moving to. it's going to be at the Sheraton in Pomona CA. That is like way closer to me than Irvine. 2016 really is going to be a great year for cons for me cuz now the Inland Empire will finally have some fun stuff going on, with Anime Los Angeles moving to Ontario and now Califur moving to Pomona, I don't have to travel so much or spend money on a hotel now that they're super close to me. I seriously can't wait for next year now. And I'm planning on finishing the new Shadra suit for that year since next years theme is Renaissance Faire and I like drawing her wearing my ren faire costume. I may even bring Sydney, my satyr, to the con too, since I no longer have to travel light to the con since I like live down the street from that hotel. XD Next year is going to be great.

Yeah been a long time since I posted any actual updates. XD

Anyway a few things. I'm going to give Shadra a suit update soon. I'm going to be doing this bit by bit throughout the year starting with the head. I'm hoping to have the new head ready by the February PS since I'll be celebrating her and my bday then. :D I'll be giving her a more feminine look than how she looks now, so a smaller shout, 3D eyes and I think I'll use short fur for her instead of fleece since she's a feathery dragon now. Also I fail at making suits with fleece. The seems. XD

Also I'm going to be opening for Califur badge commissions soon. Since the theme is anime, and I LOVE drawing anime furs, I have to get in on that. XD I think it will be something g like drawing your character cosplaying as your fav anime or videogame character, or dressed in a kimono or a school uniform, anything Japanese related. I'll draw up some examples soon and start pricing everything. Just keep in mind they will be somewhere in the $10 to $20 range depending on how big I make them.

Another announcement, I think I will be opening my first ever artist alley at Equestria LA this year. Some of you are probably all like "why not Califur?" Well I missed the deadline, so I'm pushing it to a convention later in the year. And why not a pony con since I draw ponies pretty well. I'm currently looking for a button maker right now so I'll sell buttons, prints, badges, and maybe little costume accessories like ears and tails, and dresses since I like making clothes. How did you discover fursuits/Fursuiting?
I think it was back in 2009/2010 when I first got into the fandom. I saw people wearing these really cool mascot type costumes and thought it was really cute and fun. I remember seeing some fursuiters at Anime Expo those years and thought they were really cool and cute with the way they acted in suit. It looked like a lot of fun. It wasn’t until the following years Anime Expo that I started befriending fursuiters when I attended the gathering that year. Then at school that fall I made friends with and at the Halloween event. We were all in suit then. :3

What made you decide to get/make a suit of your own?
Pretty much it was seeing everyone having fun acting as their character during AX 11 that made me want to make my own. And so I did in August of that year, and I’ve been making suits since. :3

Did you make your suit or buy it? If bought, who made it?
I made all my suits. And a few for others. I am open for commissions if you’re interested. :3
I started building in August 2011, and even though that one was a disaster, it was still fun bringing Allen to life. He’s gone through 2 other forms and I think he’s done evolving now. XD Shadra, my dragon sona was next in Janurary 2012, followed by Allen’s 2nd revamp in March, ’s suit Hani in April. Then in 2013 I made my first ponies Tailor and Jazzy for Equestria LA that year, Iris for as a part of a trade, Zero for a friend, Eren in February of this year and finally Allen’s 3rd revamp and the fullsuit for Shadra in May and June of this year. Yup, a lot has happened over the last 3 years. :D

Why did you choose this maker if bought?
Oh ya know, she’s new so I wanted to give her a chance. XD

If you could have anyone make your next version, who would it be?
Gee IDK. Maybe More Fur Less cuz I’d love for them to make my doggies who passed. I really loved their angel fursuits they created of their deceased pets, and it made me want to have one too. :3

Best suiting experience:
Wondercon 2012: The debut of Allen 2.0 and Shadra. I made a lot of people and kids happy. Also Hani joined in on the fun then as it was also her debut. :3
Califur 2012: My first time at a fur con. I had a great time making new friends and seeing old ones. Also got to join in on the suiting madness. :3
Equestria LA 2013: Tailors Debt. I got a lot of compliments on my suit, even though I did get mistaken for Nightmare Moon and Princess Luna a lot. XD
Anime Expo 2014: I had a lot of fun with as my handler for Eren. It was the best cuz she was Levi with me and she was my owner for the day, keeping me in line, tugging on my leash when I got out of control when I saw a titan. LOL it was just hilarious and I really got a chance to be in character then, since I make Eren on the more wild side compared to my other fursuit characters. XD
Anime California 2014: I got to really enjoy being in the Allen suit at this con. It was much cooler than at Anime Expo which was his debut con. So I didn’t need to get out of it as often. Just when I went to pee, took a break at the consweet, and went to dinner. And the con goers and Hotel attendees really loved him and his squeaky paw. :3

Worst suiting experience:
Anime Expo 2014. It was SSSSOOOOO HHHHHOOOOTTTTTT!!!!!!!! I couldn’t stay in my suits as long as I wanted, even with the fan I built for my heads it was still way too hot for me to stay in them. D: But that’s really all. I haven’t had a bad experience with fur haters yet. Knock on wood that I never do.

Describe your first suiting outing:
LA Furs meet 2012. It was my first fur meet and I had a lot of fun, even though I was pretty shy. But I still had a great time with the other suiters, and made some new friends there. Got to participate in photo ops in suit for the first time too, and watch people stare at us like we were awesome and cute, cuz we are. :3

What is your favorite part of your suit (a detail that's special, or something you feel was executed perfectly)?
Allen: His interchangeable eye piece for his left eye. I can take it out whenever I don’t want to have the Akuma detection eye. Also his squeaky paw cuz everyone loves that, and the fact that he has markings making him look lke the anime character I based him off of. I’m really happy when people notice that. :D
Eren: His angry expression. Even though he looks pissed off all the time (and he kinda is) he’s still approachable and some people understand that he’s Eren Jeager in Sheppy form, when I have the Survey Corp uniform on. :3
Uva: Her squeaky ears and sparkly hair. It works so well with her character, being a raver and all. :3
Tailor: her pretty eyes and the fact she is a pony. A little rare to see a suit of, but they’re still around.
Shadra: Her wings. Well the ones that I will make in the future. But her Wyvern wings are cool and come off of the suit so I can change her species whenever I want. :3

What would you change about your suit if you could?
They’re all so beautiful as it is. :3 I’m just going to make feathery purple wings for Shadra cuz I’m changing her species to Ampithere dragon.

How long did it take to save up for your suit -or- how long did it take you to make your suit?
Allen: 3 weeks
Shadra: 2 weeks
Uva: Not made by me. (but Iris took about a few months cuz I got lazy. XD)
Tailor: 1 week
Eren: 1 week

What does fursuiting mean to you?/why do you fursuit?
Pretty much the same as cosplay. It’s my chance to act like myself. I’m in an environment where I feel like I no longer have to be shy and reserved and let loose my inner crazy, social person. I tend to be more friendly in suit, and approach others easier than out of suit. I just feel like I can really be me. :3

If you had to choose a maker from an opposing style to make a version of your suit in their style, who would you choose (Between toony and realistic)?
Hmm….realistic versions of my suits…….it doesn’t really fit any of them. Not even Shadra cuz of the make up and long mane. Definitely doesn’t fit Allen, Eren and Tailor cuz they’re based on animated characters and styles, nor Uva cuz of her fun and crazy personality. IDK realism isn’t really my thing. 

Do you prefer suiting at cons or at public events/places?
I love suiting at both. More so fur cons cuz of the fursuit lounge so I can cool off without ruining the magic. But then again, that didn’t really matter to me too much in the first place.

Do you prefer suiting indoors or outside?
both but outside has to be cool like autumn and winter, and early spring.

Do you talk in suit? Why or why not:
Yes I do.
In Allen it’s a deep but cute voice. So I sound like a boy but with a nice voice.
In Eren, a deep and angry voice. Cuz he’s the angry German Shepherd after all. XD
Shadra: I use my own voice. She’s more based on the real me after all.
Tailor: Same as Shadra
Uva: cute and hyper feminine voice.

Is your suit your fursona a representation of you or just a character to play?
Shadra and Tailor are more like the real me. Allen is cute and cuddly, Uva is cute and hyper, and Eren is pretty much ready to pick a fight with someone. XD

How do you like to perform in your suit? What character do you give it?
Shadra and Tailor: Just something natural for me. Friendly and welcoming. Also prettyful. :3
Allen: Kawaii. :3 I like acting like my dogs so I’m kind, playful, and I like giving out high fives and having people shake my paw. :3
Uva: Hyper and bouncy.
Eren: Kinda cold, disobedient to my owner (Yume as Levi), and just going crazy when I see a titan walking around. I want to pick a fight with the titans. D:<

Did your character’s personality change at all after getting a fursuit?
Nope. :3

It's almost here. Tomorrow the madness begins with the huge line to get our passes for the con. And then it continues all weekend with panels, cool merch, cosplay, photography, and just fun. I'm pretty excited about debuting the new Allen on Thursday, as well as wearing my other costumes for the con. This will also be my first time wearing a full suit in public. I really can't wait. Also can't wait to see my con buds again. I really miss a lot of them since the last time we got to hang out was as long ago as ALA in January. We'll be together again my friends. :D
So yeah, let's get this party started.

Well now that it’s been a week since the con, I guess now is a good time to talk about it. XD

So I got there on Friday morning with and Zero, and we checked in at the Wyndham across the street from the Marriott. It was cheaper, that’s why we stood there. It was a really nice hotel. I think we may stay there again next year. Anyway, after we got settled, and arrived, we got ready for the con. I brought my new suit, with me, and I dressed him in the maid outfit I put together recently. I know he’s a dude, but I thought it would be cool to wear during the pet auction later that evening. So the 4 of us headed to the Marriott, and after waiting in line for nearly an hour we got our tickets, and it was time to start the con. We suited around most of the time. But when we took our breaks it was either in the fursuit lounge, or in the artist lounge next door. That’s when I met again. It’s been nearly 2 years since I last saw him, so it was great to hang out with him again. And we all headed out for dinner at subway across the street. Might as well since it’s close by and I needed to get back in time to sign up for the pet auction. After chowing down, we headed back to the Marriott, and I didn’t make it back in time to sign up for the pet auction on my own, but I did manage to join a group. That’s how I met and . They’re both really cool, and I was grateful to Thursday for letting me join her. :D Anyway, the three of us were the second group on stage, and we sold for $120. Woooo, I beat my record from last year by a landslide. XD IT was pretty fun, showing off how cute I can be, even though my suit looks angry. XD And a cool thing, the person who bought my group was someone I went to high school with. I didn’t know him that well in high school, but he was friends with one of my fellow bandmates, so I saw him in the band room once in a while. Oh, and I got to meet and cuz my owner bought them too. IT was fun hanging out with this group. We had some snacks at the hotel restaurant, played some games, and just chatted. And to end the night, we went to the dance and just shook our tails, and just had a great time. Then I went home cuz I had to be close by cuz my brother was graduating the following morning.

So the next morning I got up early and ready to go see my bro graduate from College. He got his Bachelors in Psychology, and will be taking classes for his masters in the fall. Wooo way to go little bro. :D After the ceremony we went to the Cheese Cake Factory for some lunch. Took like an hour to get a table to seat our group but it was worth the wait. I had myself a mushroom hamburger and it was delicious. P: And from there I headed back to the con. I didn’t get there until 7pm, so all the stuff I wanted to do was already over. Oh well, I just suited, hung out with friends, and drew some stuff. Pretty laid back night but I had fun, plus taking photos. :3 And at around midnight I headed back to the room and just crashed cuz I was so tired. XD

Sunday was also a laid back day. It’s the last day so that’s usual for cons. I entered the Furry Feud, a parody of the game show Family Feud with Hani, Zero, and It was a lot of fun, and we won the first round, but lost in the second. Oh well, it was still loads of fun. Then I ran into who I haven’t seen since the LA Furs meet in February. It was great seeing him again and hanging out in the dealer’s hall where I bought a few buttons and stuff. :3 After I headed out for dinner at Carls Jr with Hani, Yume, Zero, and for some burgers of course. XD It was fun just hanging out together for the final evening of the con. And after dinner Hani, Zero, and I went home.

I had a great time, hanging out with current friends, meeting new friends, suiting, and just doing my furry thing. Oh, and shout out to for taking mine and my buds photo, and just being an awesome friend. Heh, we look cute in it. :3

ANNOUNCEMENT!!!!!!
So yeah the announcement. Nothing huge, I'm just remaking the Allen suit. So far I took apart his head (I'm recycling the base) added larger ears similar to Eren's, follow me eyes and a new fleece tongue. Right now I'm finally remaking his feet after not using them for a year and a half. Next will be making the patterns for the body, purchasing fur for everything and making my room a white fur mess as I work on this thing. I'm going to estimate that he won't be ready until mid July cuz I have some stuff to take care of for AX, but I'm going to attempt to have him ready for AX and debut his new look there. Wish me luck. :D
