Well, 2026 is almost here and 2025 has been a rollercoaster.

Not much to report from the beginning of the year aside from celebrating another year of marriage with the hubby and another year around the sun for me.
April came and went without much fuss, and then came May which was FWA which was so memorable since we got to attend all the days of it this time around compared to last year.
And the Staff bug hit us after volunteering XD And we got on with Staff at the Con so you might see us around the Con space next year!
June came along and not much there, July was the same until the end of July when, let's just say, its hard to talk about the end of July especially the 31st.

Don't know if the hubby would want this out there, but July 31st he went in for a minor meniscus knee tear repair surgery that should have taken 30 mins turned into a being called to the back and the doctor telling me news I don't ever want to go through again. I felt numb when the doctor told me something that had happened.
We don't know what caused the moment to happen during the operation, but it was something I don't want any partner to have to go through.
He was in the ICU for 2 days and then the heart center area of the hospital the next 2 or 3 days. 3 of those day I had off and would go down and see him until I couldn't. And then 2 of the other days after the ICU I was at work and had to nicely ask my Team Leads to let me leave an hour early to go see him. After day 2 of asking, I put in for LOA from work for a week to spend with him.

My husband is first of everything. To almost lose him on July 31st hit me hard. I just went numb.
He's alive and kicking ass and now waiting on return to work details to return to his job.

August we celebrated his b-day which was special considering what almost happened to him in July.

Sept I played hooky from job for the hubby and I to check out Furry Take Over and when I say played hooky, I mean I used protected time off since my job had me working almost 6 to 7 days straight some weeks and I was giving a giant "F YOU" to my job. It was a different vibe Con I'll admit but glad we went since I got to run into a furry Couple I love from Twitter and we also ran into Lazuli who helps run the new card game Royalty CG.

October was meh, just stayed busy with work.
November we got fortunate enough to attend Carolina Fur Fare to meet up with Lazuli and her other half at their table in the Dealer's Den to buy cards and chat about Royalty CG.
Definitely would go back to this small NC Con.

Unfortunately, with the ups comes some downs.
November 23rd before Thanksgiving, my mother in-law left this plane of existence to go to another plane of existence. My husband is sad to have lost her, but she's in a better place.
November was also a busy month for work with Black Friday event weeks at Wal-Mart for my department...and it just rolled over into December.

December has BEEN CHAOS. So. Many. Pick.s Especially once SNAP benefits got turned on back on after the Government Shut Down.
And December has been the month that has been extra hard since the hubby had to fly back to CA to help the sister in-law clear out their Mom's house.
Luckily, he's headed home today!

Well, hopefully in the New Year things will be a little lighter on chaos. But among all this, we've got to grow closer with some friends of ours I befriended at a Warriors Graphic Novel release last year. Spending time after they went to the Upstate Ren Faire here in SC and then inviting them along with us to a Halloween Party we were invited to and just spending time nonetheless and hope in the New Year get to hang with them more.

Turning 40 in March, FWA fun times ahead in May with and a buddy of her's coming out to check out FWA with us ^^
