Another question for you all
General | Posted 4 years agoHey sweeties!! First of all THANK YOU VERY MUCH for all your kind answers from last journal, it was very insightful and warming to know you would like both styles of art!
I dont know if you ever wondered why I asked something like that or just felt it like a normal question, but I would like to explain a bit why I asked. Its been a while since Ive been thinking in opening a patreon/ko-fi to do different art from what I normally do with my commissions but in my normal working schedule rather than using the almost null free time I have recently. But as I normally draw furry artwork, I would like to do humans for a change. Ill try to explain at my best my real intentions in a bit longer way here below.
First of all, this intention of doing a patreon/ko-fi is NOT to close my commissions or substitute them in any way. I will continue to open commission slots monthly (or as monthly as possible as you all have noticed sometimes I get delayed X.X) . This is just a way of doing maybe one or 2 images during the month of humanlike characters (or some of my own furry characters) to regain a bit the spark of inspiration and freedom that sometimes commissions dont provide. Please dont get me wrong, I love doing commissions, its just that as they are commissions I really cant do whatever I like with them right?? XDDD
Secondly, this project is not meant to make me rich and Im not aiming to earn thousands of dollars with it. What Im aiming for is to earn just enough to be able to do a couple of pics in the month in my normal work schedule (like commissions but with my characters and/or personal ideas)
Truth be told, I would do personal art on my spare time if I could because I have a lot of lovely characters and a lot of ideas I want to try out, but sadly having 2 kids in a pandemic hasnt been kind nor easy in regards of time. I have to do my house chores, cooking, laundry,etc on weekends because during the week I have to be attentive to my son's schooling, I have my commissions to do, buy groceries, do bank payments, etc. And so, my weekend is reduced to 2 hours of "free time" that I have to balance and decide what to do with them: draw or spend time with my family. And well, its sad that when I choose to draw for myself, my son comes to my work space and asks: mommy why are you working on weekend? isnt it a free day? and there is where my dilemma starts, because I love my kids and I want to spend time with them, but I also feel the need to draw something for me because as an artist I need to feel I can draw something different from my normal work, using my own inspiration and my own ideas.
So, why am I telling you all this? well, as my followers/supporters/commissioners, you know I need funds for that XDD so I was wondering if you would support me if I opened up a patreon or ko-fi to be able to do this small change in my day to day life. As said before, Im not aiming super high, maybe $50 to $100 per month would allow me to do either 2 or 3 small images, or a big fully colored one. Maybe I would implement a voting system to ask what the contributors would like to see, choose from my characters, etc, but that will come afterwards when I can plan it correctly. Right now I wanted to explain what I was planning when I asked yesterday about the human artwork and ask for your help again in answering another question =P
If you were to support me in this new project of mine, which platform you would prefer to use: Patreon or Ko-fi membership system?? I know a lot of people already uses patreon but I also know a lot of people hate patreon XDu, and Im not sure if Ko-fi is very popular or well known on the membership system, so Im not sure which platform is more popular or easier to use for supporters. So if you were kind enough to answer that question, that would mean a lot to me!!
Please rest assured that answering the question doesnt make it a contract for you to support me, its just a doubt I have and I would like to hear some insight about it. Also, if I launch this project and it doesnt work out because its not what my followers are willing to pay for, please dont worry, I wont come here and spam you with self loathing, moaning and crying journals of "why dont you support me????!!!! TTOTT" ^^uuu you know its not my style and that Im not that kind of person, maybe Ill feel a bit sad about it because its something Im a bit excited to try out, but I will keep my normal working schedule running with my normal commissions on. No extra fuss about it =P
So, yeah, thats about it. I hope its not a super long journal that makes you sleep through it, or that leaves you with a question mark above your head saying "what did she say? o.Ouu" and that you can help me out by answering my question, and if I launch this project that you are willing to find a bit of spare cash to help a tired, burned out, stressed artist/mom to do something for her without having to watch her son's puppy eyes each time she sits on the pc on weekends XDDuu

I have a question for you all, I really hope and would appreciate a lot if you could take just 5 minutes to give me a small answer =P
Do you enjoy seeing human artwork?? Or only furry artwork??
Ive been wondering that for quite a while now. I know the 99% of the site is furry artwork in general, and in commissions of course is mainly furry, but I dont know if you also enjoy seeing human artwork like anime fanarts, or just human artwork in general.
Ive been wanting to do something, but it mainly depends on the answer of the question I posed above, as you all are my main watchers/commissioners/supporters, and it would be nice to know what you all think before giving extra thought to it =P

*HOW TO RESERVE A SPOT:
~ Just place a comment in this journal with any legend saying specifically that you want to reserve a spot. I will answer your comment comfirming you got the spot, and I will send you a note with a format that you have to fill out.
*EACH SPOT:
~ Can hold up 1 image only. ONE SPOT PER PERSON
~ RESTRICTION: if you are planning to request a CROWD COMMISSION, then you must have the complete payment ready on your paypal because I will work with this type of commission in the moment I feel adequate (due to the complexity and time it takes). If you cant fulfill this rule, then please dont apply for a CROWD commission, because if I request the payment and you dont have it I will put a penalization of 5% to the price. This is just a meassure to avoid getting delayed in the payment of big commissions.
* RULES TO CONSIDER IF YOU WANT TO RESERVE A SPOT:
~ You need to send all the information for your commission in 3 days tops (so you will have until MONDAY JANUARY 24TH at midnight FA clock system). As I work the spots in the order they are booked, if you get delayed in sending the data, your spot will be sent to the end of the list, meaning you will have to wait longer to get your image done, AND IF YOU TAKE MORE THAN A WEEK TO SEND THE DATA THEN YOUR SPOT WILL BE AUTOMATICALLY CANCELLED. Im a very patient person, but I have had a lot of problems lately with the people taking too long to send the data and it stresses me out because I have to pressure people and I seriously dont like to do that. So please if you dont think you'll be able to send the data in time or really cant think of soemthing to get done in a commission, better dont apply to this batch and try for the next one when you have a clear idea of what you want n_n
~ All images and commissions apply to my art restrictions. If the idea or character enters in my restrictions, its quite likely I will decline the commission, by requesting that you change either your idea or the character. If you have any doubt, you can always ask, and depending on the condition of your commission I might bend my rules a bit, but I cant guarantee it. Sorry, because of financial situations, I need the money before the 15th so I can cover all my bills, so if you dont think you can get the funds ready by this time frame, I politely ask not to apply for this commission opening and apply for one that you are sure you can get the funds ready.
IMPORTANT :Please if the commission is split between 2 or more people, please consider the time frame for the payment so that there isnt any delay. Also, when there are split commissions, the person that applies for the spot is the one that will receive the invoice from my part, so its the commissioner's responsibility to collect the money from the person that is splitting the commission with in time to do the proper payment.

Well, the time of the year has come that it starts the holiday marathon XDDD and when I take a couple of weeks off work to "rest" (which is impossible with 2 young children XDDDDDDuuuuuu) and recover my strength to start the next year with enthusiasm =P
But before I go, I really want to take a moment to thank everyone that has supported me this year, either by commissioning me, offering advice, or just having a nice short conversation over emails or comments on my submissions. It really means a lot to me to have people around that appreciate what I do for them, that are there to offer a kind word and that are willing to help me out by commissioning me to keep my job and help my family with an extra income. I really hope that everyone that has worked with me during this year has enjoyed their experience and that are happy with what they got! Im always trying to improve to make even better images for everyone, so thank you all that allow me to practice and go outside my confort zone when you commission me!! I really hope I can count with your support this upcoming year!!
So, I want to wish you all Happy Holidays! Merry Xmas! and that you all have a wonderful start of 2022!! That this next year to come is better than this one! And please, even when the pandemic is starting to look a bit more in control, stay safe, take care and take care of your loved ones by being careful!!

Well, as the title says, sadly I wont open a July worklist because again I have more work than I can chew at the moment and I cant add any more work to it XP so Im truly sorry for the people that were waiting to get a spot on this month, I honestly dont know why my life has been so hectic to the point that Im having trouble with my working schedules, but Im working to get things in order so I can normalize my working times and Im able to offer you all my best in commissions and also in opening new worklists each month

THERE WONT BE A MAY WORKLIST

WEll, as the title says, I wont be able to open a public worklist for May. The reason is that last week I had a family situation that caused me a severe delay in my current worklist, that made me delay a couple of my current worklist to May and with all the proyects I have right now it makes me impossible to open new slots until Im done with what I currently have.
Thank you all for your constant support and for your comprehension! I will try to open new slots on June, depending on my workload at that point.

Its that time of the year when I sign out for a couple of weeks to rest a bit from work and the overall year. And man! what a YEAR it has been!! Honestly, (and I know a lot of you will agree) its been a complicated year, full of new challenges, situations we never thought would happen and the lifestyle we were used to just crashed on the floor like a cup .___.u . But well, we are all still here, with health and alive, and for that Im grateful. But Im tired, really tired of the year, being a working mom of 2, and having to home school one of them, dealing with house chores, work, dental stuff, responsibilities, and a million other things has left me with no energy at all, and that is why I will take some seriously needed vacations!
Sooooo, from December 18th to January 10th I wont be working at all! YAY!! my first vacations in the year! and therefore I wont be around too much =P I might be uploading all the horrible backlog I have of commissions I havent submitted yet, but I wont be too much on the pc, so if you want to contact me feel free to note me and I will answer you as soon as Im around =P

The reason is because Ill be taking a vacational leave from December 19th to January 10th to have a much needed rest from work (and home schooling, which has been a royal pain to be honest @.@) and I need the data for January before I leave so that as soon as Im back on the 11th I already have the data to start working immediately =P . Of course, the images requested will be worked until January, and the payment will be asked until January as well, so dont worry if you apply right now but dont have the money ready, you will have until at least the 11th to get the funds ready.
*HOW TO RESERVE A SPOT:
~ Just place a comment in this journal with any legend saying specifically that you want to reserve a spot. I will answer your comment comfirming you got the spot, and I will send you a note with a format that you have to fill out.

~ Can hold up 1 image only. ONE SPOT PER PERSON
~ RESTRICTION: if you are planning to request a CROWD COMMISSION, then you must have the complete payment ready on your paypal because I will work with this type of commission in the moment I feel adequate (due to the complexity and time it takes). Well, Im in need of some extra work due to the fact that with the current work I have I dont get the funds I need to pay my monthly bills, so Im opening this special batch for the month!
There will be 5 slots available, for COLORED SKETCH IMAGE OF 1 CHARACTER EACH! Only characters with an existing design and at least one colored image can apply for this type of commissions, no new designs with only written data are allowed.
Price is $25 (which is my normal price). If you have a VIP card you will get your discount as usual
No restriction on the amount of slots you can buy as long as there are still within the 5 available slots!
*This slots are special as you can ask for characters that are not available on my normal openings such as : FEMBOYS, HERMS, etc.
Rules are the same as my normal sketch comms: the payment must be done upfront so that I can work your image. The image will be delivered during August.
*All species are welcome. Just take into account that if your character is super hugely complicated there can be an extra charge due to complexity, but that will be discussed directly with the commissioner if the situation arises
