My bout of inactivity has stemmed from my ongoing injury flaring back into pain so fierce I have had to step away from my dayjob, as I can't walk on the affected foot. Sitting at my desk properly has also been something I haven't been able to do much of since the beginning of the fall. Bits and pieces of rusty sketches have been done, but anything more than that ends up a frustrating mess as I fight with a limb that shoots pain from my ankle. I've gotten to the point that I can elevate it and it becomes bearable, but that's about it. Sleep is a luxury that I can indulge in after finding ways to mentally exhaust myself and then wake up four or five hours later to that same twisting stab in my foot. So I'm aggressively seeking any medical assistance to get rid of the thing that is effectively ruining my life.(Our healthcare system in the US is shitty. Curse out anyone who tells you it's fine and then stab them for me.)

I've had this thing on my left foot for 19 months. I think it's high time I get some concrete answers that equal up to more than a shrug and "Wait and see...".

I don't hate my life. I hate that this thing has become a part of it that has consumed more time, money, and lost opportunities than I was willing to face. So I'm going to address it with as much dedication as I can. Nothing else matters until I can walk on my own two feet without pain again.

The past month has seen my ongoing infirmity flare back into prominence so bad I couldn't function very well. (Just as well, going outside for the essential stuff is all we're allowed to do anyway) But I'm back on my feet again and able to work at the desk without any pain. Art is getting done again and the things I owe are being pieced back together. I try not to talk about any of my problems or setbacks, but saying something is better than nothing at all. I can't say I was ever gone, but on the digital front, art is flowing again. Gonna submit a few sketches I turned into finished works and get right back to the stuff I really need to finish with single minded purpose.

Been a rough February. The dayjob schedule has been rough and my sleep cycle is a mess. I have a block of days off this week to catch up on stuff I have sketches and outlines for, but no finished product. I'll prolly have a whole flood of stuff come Friday.

The next comic project is getting off the ground one inch at a time. It's sort of an origin story for Ersa. It's not particularly pervy at all, though, so the single comic pages between projects will be filling that X-rated quota I enjoy. Going into the holidays, so my time for involved projects will be limited. I'll be starting another weekly(I intend) 4koma comic like "The Pact" sometime in January. If I double down, I can st least get the current project done before Xmas gets into full swing.

Mostly bounced back from my little health problem that knocked me out of my routine. I can't stand on that foot at work, but at least it doesn't keep me up at night anymore. Once another day off from work comes, I can focus on my commissions and the next Patreon comic after another Tentacle comic with Mia. The next project for October is not as pervy as the last one and will feature Ersa.

Been doing some stuff to keep rust from forming(the ant tech pics mostly) in the meantime when I can't devote as much time as I like to my stuff. My asshole job has me working Sunday so no Prerelease for the new MtG set for me. Maybe I'll end the next Sunday stream with some Arena matches if I do one this weekend.

Been a slow week. Can't access FA except in my phone thanks to certain financial problems. Focusing on getting comics and commissions done when I'm not at work. If you'd like to help at all, I'm always open for commissions and even a buck on Patreon gets early access to comic pages before I post them everywhere else.

I'm a good 1/4th of the way toward getting myself a car. A series of unfortunate and annoying circumstances I call episodes of "Shard, Get a Car!" have made me begin saving in earnest. I'm outlining and scripting new comics that are much shorter than my old stuff. And I've gone ahead and made a Patreon.

It's a tipjar only. I'm not putting anything behind a paywall. I will start posting stuff at least two or three times a week just so I can get stuff off the IN pile at a more regular clip. And if I can get up to a certain monetary goal per month, then I would have no problem with audience polls or suggestions on what sort of stuff I draw. I'm still open for commissions, if anyone is up for that. Even a buck a month would help toward bills, life, and Shard Getting a Car.

Less time spent in travel is more time spent doing art... eh? eh?

I'll get things back up to speed, but the day job and other factors(some personal, others medical) slow progress. I'll see what I can do to make time for everything artistically I want to accomplish.

I've come to the conclusion that I'm not drawing non-con/forced sex/rape anymore. I may allude to it in certain stories, but hentai style "only one person in this sex scene wants it" type of stuff doesn't give me much of a charge anymore. Stuff like "The Deal" a decade ago was an interesting diversion, but I'd rather not go for the atmosphere of it anymore. Kinda done mixing sex and tragedy in my stuff.

I can certainly allude to it as some OCs have it in their backstory, but I'm not gonna focus on it. Hell, even the tentacle stuff I draw is mostly fun instead of that old school "overwhelmed" tentacle rape. Coercion, suggestion, seduction, sexual frustration, or even spite infused hate-fucking can be in my wheelhouse to go into a scene. But the extra tragic "I can't get clean" style hentai stuff where "the cock always wins" type shit is the norm ain't really doing for me. I looked in on some scripts and notes while I was recuperating from getting sick over the weekend and cringed a little. It was some edgy shit I'd worked out. I may turn it into a written synopsis to tell the damned story, but I'm not going to take my time out to draw twenty some-odd pages of material as a comic that I'm not really down with anymore.

It almost took me 5 years to do, but it's finished. and now that it is done, what am I gonna do?

There's been an idea swirling around in my head. I sit at work with my notepad and jot down little ideas here and there. This one has intrigued me enough to write down a whole hell of a lot of notes about it.

Essentially it'd be a bunch of pervy adventures of low level characters in a setting they themselves are kinda screwing up by being there. I'll poat some of the character sketches and setting ideas later before I post the first adventure and see where it goes.

Work has gotten busy lately and my internet has been out recently due to an account error that has finally been squared away. I've got some time this week to play catch up and get stuff back on track.
