Plans and Gallery Updates for the Future
Posted a year agoHey y'all! Been some time, hasn't it?
What you seen in the title is what you get. For some time now, I've been taking steps towards developing my ocs here and there to help make them more interconnected with each other and to help give them all some personal lore to create a unique, overall larger narrative for them all, both on an individual level AND collectively between them all.
To that end, I plan to do a "reboot" of sorts with my characters and gallery in the very near future. While I MAY make some exceptions on occasion, from this point on, I will be dividing up my gallery into three specific categories. Those categories being: "Non-Canon Art", "Semi-Canon Art", (Which covers any and all images that display or feature moments relating to each of my characters' personal narratives in some way, shape or form, but with a detail or two that may be or HAS been retconned out,) and/or "Canon Art", which is exactly what it says on the tin.
This is going to be an endeavor that takes a bit of time. I plan to chip away at it steadily over time, but in the long-term, I feel this is going to be a development that will be for the best.
With this new direction in mind, I hope you all look forward to it, as this this may be the best way to properly streamline and start a new, clear, proper direction for all my characters in the future.
Until next time, everyone! All the best!

A Quick Note for the Future and Character Updates
Posted 2 years agoHowdy y’all! How’s it going? Been a while, huh? Let’s jump into it, shall we?
Starting things off, as a means of helping to keep things a little more organized and to help provide greater details on my characters, new, old AND upcoming, I will be uploading them here in addition to FA: https://refsheet.net/Shining_Shield
That aside, I’ve been doing a lot of thinking in recent weeks about how to build up and develop my characters further. While all of them are still works in progress at this point, some of them, such as Faith, aka: “Shining Shield” and Whitney, “The Balloonatic”, are steadily moving in a new direction that’s different from how I originally imagined, yet one that I feel helps establishes something that’s a little more epic and grandiose, but doesn’t take away from the core of what makes them them.
Character creation and development is often something that I take pride in, even if there are periods where it might take me a while to make much progress, such is the case of most of my current list of OCs, but I try my best to make them as interesting to others as they are to myself. With this new direction I’m now taking my characters in, I’m hoping it will serve as a basis I can use with the ones that haven’t seen much attention and screen time, but will do them justice with the details that have already been established. All my characters going forward will largely be the same as they’ve been, but there may be a few things here and there that change to help streamline and paint a more complete picture of who they are.
With that giant wall o’ text out of the way, I hope y’all enjoy the new direction for my characters as much as I do, and I hope to share more about them in the new future. It might take a little bit of time, but I have plans, so I hope you all stick around. Stay tuned for more!

My First Milestone
Posted 4 years agoWhoo-hoo! I finally hit 1000 faves on the page! A milestone that, admittedly, I never thought I’d actually ever reach, especially with how sparingly I’m able to make any new uploads around here.
Just wanted to take a moment to say thanks so much everyone, and I greatly appreciate the love! Will have to do something special to commemorate the occasion, so keep a look out for something to come soon! Talk to y’all again soon!

New Month, New Poll!
Posted 4 years agoAaaand… that’s it! While I haven’t exactly gotten NEARLY as many responses as I would have hoped, a new month has begun, and I’m calling it here. With all the votes submitted, we now have a verdict! From this moment on, as per her upcoming supervillain persona, Whitney shall now, and forever be known as ”The Balloonatic”! One of several archenemies of Shining Shield and her new, upcoming sidekick, “Hyper Hound”.
Now with THAT being said, what good is a villain if they don’t have any minions or allies of their own?
For all of her power, someone as dangerously chaotic, insane and crazy as Whitney can certainly use a bit of help. For that reason, enter, Pamela, the party pup!
https://www.furaffinity.net/view/43502380/
The personal assistant of Whitney at her party shop, her loyal minion while in the midst of committing an act of villainy, and the kangaroo’s #1 fan and best friend.
With that in mind, just like how Shining Shield has Hyper Hound, I think THIS particular pupper needs an alias of her own. Luckily, I currently have two options in mind. Unfortunately, I can’t decide on which.
For that reason, I leave it to you, dear watchers! Help me give her a name by casting your vote on one of the following, or providing your own suggestions!
“The Big Bash”: In reference of her size, and, making up for Whitney’s lack of any, due to her preference for reach, speed and occasional stealth, Pamela serving as the role of “the muscle”.
“Party Popper”: A pun and a name that matches up and emphasizes her boss’s “party” theming, for which she is also a fellow party girl, and regards Whitney as the ultimate queen of parties, shindigs and hootenannys of all kinds.
I hope to get your contributions. This poll will only last for 2 weeks starting to, so get them in while you can! To place your vote, simply state which one of the two you prefer in the comments below, along with your reason(s) for your choice. However, I’m also taking suggestions, as well. If you don’t have a preference for either option, feel free to post “Option 3” along your suggestion for another name in the comments below.
Happy voting, y’all!

Poll: Possible Supervillain Names for Whitney!
Posted 4 years agoI am currently debating on possible supervillain names for Whitney, my inflation-obsessed kangaroo, as an archenemy of Shining Shield.
https://www.furaffinity.net/view/30177812/
As of right now, I have three possible options to choose from that I will list below. However, I am more then happy to hear any other other suggestions that you may have, so if none of the following appeal to you, feel free to add in your suggestions as “Option 4”, otherwise, please post your choice in the comments below as “Option 1”, “Option 2”, or “Option 3”, as well as your reasons for why.
Now then, our choices are…!
“The Loony ‘Looner“: She’s crazy and absolutely obsessed with inflation.
”The Toony Tanker“: With an upcoming design overhaul I plan on giving her, she is gonna become far more cartoony in nature, and as such, can morph her body in various ways. Most relevant in this case, morphing her arms into hoses and acting as an air tank.
“The Balloonatic”: Dangerously chaotic, and will use any means necessary of “sharing“ her love of balloons and inflation with the world.
