My partner has a large mass on her ovary that has slowly been getting bigger and causes her pain every day. She has to pay $1,300 up front to be able to get the surgery to remove it. She wakes up in tears from pain almost every single day now, and it's really taken a toll on her every day life. It seriously breaks my heart for her to see her hurting so much every day, even when taking pain meds. She's also at risk for ovarian torsion if it doesnt get removed, which would need emergency surgery to correct.

I would seriously appreciate any donations that would help her to be able to afford the out of pocket cost of her surgery so that she can feel better.

I'm kind of feeling like making some sketches of dogs, I haven't drawn in a long while (months) due to lots of stuff going on but would like to try and start up again

If anyone has a dog they would maybe like a drawing of I might draw them if you send pictures

No promises though and the effort level and drawing style may vary, this is mostly for fun and to try and get me motivated to draw again

Just reply to this journal with links to a few images of your dog, and feel free to point out any features your dog has that you really like that may not be super noticable (maybe a mole, or a certain spot of color)

I'm really in need of some money right now, I need just a little more so I can afford some blood tests to figure out what's been going on with me. I've had some chronic issues I've been ignoring that have been progressively getting worse, and its at the point where I can't really ignore it any more. I have a pretty good hunch its something to do with my thyroid, it runs in my family and the symptoms point in that direction.

I don't mean to guilt trip anyone into buying from me, but if you have been wanting to commission me, now would be a good time! I have almost enough to get the first blood test I need, $5-$10 should be enough to cover the rest of the cost (not sure if there's tax?), so even a small commission will help. If it comes back positive, I won't need any more blood tests, but I will need to be able to afford medicine. If it comes back negative, I may have to get more tests done to know what is going on.

I really want to get these guys out of my unsold adopt folder. Almost every one is VERY old, in a completely different style, and not really drawn as well as my current stuff.

If I am able, I still want to make a little money off these, so here's what I'm going to do:
- I will post comments below with a number (#1-6) and link to an unsold adopt I have.
- The first person to reply "claimed" to the comment with the character they want will get that character, UNLESS-
- If someone replies to your "claimed" comment with a money offer ($5 minimum), then it will become an auction. Reply to the highest bidder.
- Only one can be claimed for free per person. But you can bid money on as many as you want.
- If you claim one for free and someone makes a money offer on it, you can claim a different one for free if no one has yet.
- Bidding (if there is any) will end sometime tomorrow.

I'm having trouble finding the motivation to do more complicated commissions at the moment, but I really need some new shoes so I'm open for small chibi headshots. These will include the character's head only, have multiple colors for lines, and include very minimal shading (eyes, nose, mouth only shading).

Typically these would be $6, so they are $1 off.

Just to be like. Super upfront, my life has been kicking me in the face for like 2 years now. I've always kind of struggled with feeling okay, but the last 2 years have just been some of the most stressful of my life. I was hoping this break from commissions I'm taking would help me focus on myself and do some personal art, but stuff just keeps happening and I haven't even been able to draw much for myself.

To put it really short and spare the details, basically, my house was pretty much taken from me and my dad and two younger siblings by my older brother and his girlfriend and their kids he let move in without permission 2 years ago. I was powerless to do anything since only my dad was able to do anything about it(and he was overwhelmed with life at the time and tried his best but only recently got serious about it), they constantly lied and started shit with everyone, so I just decided to leave because my stress threshold is really low. I moved in with a friend in her house even though I really wasn't comfortable with being here this whole time. The people in my house would constantly start shit with people even when I wasn't living there, and at my friend's house its really not much better with constant fighting and even someone threatening everyone here.

Recently, the people in my house finally moved out so I am able to move back in. But we have been working on the house for weeks because they trashed it and it isn't ready to move into yet. And I am unable to do much to help right now because I got surgery a week ago and I already worked too hard yesterday and hurt myself.

I mean I guess its good news for the future that they're gone and I'm able to move back in soon, it's just been a lot of work. And it takes me a long time to comfortably adjust to change. I pretty much just now started getting semi-comfortable living with my friend. But hopefully it'll be less of an adjustment going back to my old home. So maybe my life will start sucking a little less and have a lot less stress soon.

I guess the purpose of this is to just explain why my art has been so sporadic and why commissions have been closed so long. I don't know when I will open commissions again, but I want to be able to draw for myself again for a while after my life calms down.

This is a little longer than I expected it would be, so thanks for reading.

I've been feeling kinda burned out, and I want to finish up everything I have due before taking on anything else.

I also want to be able to work on art for myself to get out of this slump I'm in, and hopefully improve myself as well.

Everyone is divided into two teams, and both teams work to draw art for people on the opposite team to get points. It actually isn't super competitive for most people, just a fun event where you can draw for people and have people draw stuff for you too.
