Jasmine: 1999-2011

We had to make the decision to put our family dog, Jasmine, down earlier this morning. I was supposed to work this morning and I brought my mom and Jasmine along. I knew Dr. Brody was working and that she'd help us make the decision. Jazzy's heart was working overtime, she had labored breathing and her gums were very pale. I knew her time had come.

My mom and I made the decision to put her to sleep after talking to the vet... one of the toughest decisions of my life. She went peacefully. And the whole time she kept wagging her tail. She was so brave.

I miss her so much... it's like a little peace of my heart went with her. But she is with Sanibel now and in no pain.

I love you, Jasmine. Rest peacefully. ♥

So I'm sick... again.

I don't know what's going on with me. I feel like I'm always sick. -_-;; Not to mention the constant headaches. I left work early today and went to the doctor. I have another sinus infection and I'm on antibiotics again. Tomorrow I go in to get some bloodwork done. See what's going on internally. Ugh.

I think I will now sleep the day away.

In light of all the destruction and horrible things happening in Japan right now I really wanted to do something to help. (I have also been inspired by fellow artists and communities doing auctions for donations.) I've decided to open up a bid commission and all the money will go to helping Japan. I am a huge animal advocate and would like to donate to the American Humane Association to help all the animals over in Japan who are also very much affected by the earthquake and tsunami.

The flu dive-bombed me like a ton of bricks Thursday night and oooooh was I ill. >_>; I pretty much lived in the bathroom all night. It was awful.

Sooo today kinda sucked. I was heading to my massage therapy appointment and was waiting at a red light. I got a green left turn arrow and went. Well, some old guy in a Chevy Blazer was in the right turn lane across from me, turning to go eastbound (same direction I was turning into) as well. I guess he didn't see me and BAM! he sort of T-boned right into me. -_-;; If he would have just stayed in his lane it would have been fine... but no, he had to go into my lane. Fucking lame.

I'm so pissed because I have my brand new car...now with dents in the passenger side doors. Granted, they'll be fixed. But the whole damn mess is annoying as all get out. And they guy better hold up his end of the deal and pay, 'cause he didn't want to go with his insurance. Apparently he gets into a lot of accidents and can't afford for his insurance to go up. >_>;; I swear... I think there should be a law that when you turn 65 you should have to take a mandatory driving test again.

Anywho, after getting estimates at two auto body places it looks like it's around $1,000.00 of damage. *sigh* My poor car. T.T

Since I've adopted my 15 year old kitty, Mevie, my parent's female dog keeps coming down to my living area and urinates in certain spots. I'm assuming it's a dominance thing. Then Mevie will mark those spots as well. And the cycle repeats itself. *sigh*

I'm wondering, what do you use to clean up cat urine spots? Have you tried different cleaners and found something that you think works better? I'd love to know! I know a lot of people use Nature's Miracle. I plan on purchasing an LED black light and majorly cleaning... so hopefully I can get a clean slate again.

Suggestions would be appreciated! Thank you~!

Today at work we got a call from Iams that all their veterinary formula dry dog and cat foods have been recalled due to a salmonella contaminate. Some of their Eukanuba specialty foods are recalled as well.

Just a heads up!

I had a very nice and quiet birthday today. I went to work this morning and only had to stay for half the day, so that was really nice. When I got home I took a nap and then cleaned out my car. X3; Maz and I then went for a little joyride before dinner. It was such a nice day and just driving around with the windows down and music playing was peaceful.

For dinner, my mom made amazing lasagna. Mmm~ it was so good. I ate WAY too much of it. :3 She also ordered a marble cake for me and it was super yummy! I love eating good food~ Lol!

It's hard to believe I'm already 26. It kind of scares me sometimes. ^_^;; I dreamed of being this age when I was younger... and now, I wish I were a child again. Well, here's to another year.

So today while  zzd and I were at Walmart we decided to purchase some fish. I had bought a cheap glass fish bowl at a Goodwill this past winter and wanted to get some cheap goldfish to put in it... Well, the Walmart we were at didn't have any goldfish in the tank...except one floating dead. XD;;

So after we looked at the different fish we decided to get two platies, a tetra and a suckermouth. After some debating I purchased another tank with a filter and bought some stones and plants. Then we thought it would be fun to also buy a Beta to go in the fish bowl I had bought earlier. X3 So now we have two tanks.

So, as most of you know, I work at a vet clinic. Well, this Tuesday I got a call from a lady who needed to put her cat down. As I talked to her more I discovered that she had been trying to find a home for her 15 year old kitty because she was moving into an assisted living facility and couldn't take care of her cat anymore. But no one wants an old cat... so she had no luck finding a home for her beloved cat. So, her last option was to have her euthanized. We set up the appointment for Thursday morning and that was that.

The rest of Tuesday I tried convincing people who came into the clinic and my fellow employees to take the kitty. But no one wanted her or could take her.

So... Thursday came around and I couldn't let this kitty be put down. Even though she is 15 years old the doctors said she was more like a 10 year old cat and very healthy. So I decided to take her...without my parent's permission. I ended up bringing her home and sprang the news on my parents at dinner. XD;; I'm REALLY surprised how well they took it! They were actually pretty cool and accepted having the kitty in the house.
