A small note on commissions & seasons greetings!
Posted 14 years agoFor everyone's convenience, I try and keep everything localized to the vicinity of my FA profile, at least till I have a website up (2011 hopefully)
So there isn't much to see atm, but just keep in mind that I have reserved my 'favorites' section for all my commissions/work posted on other profiles (the mystery of Silanth's lack of favs has been solved! But what about the watched artist area? The plot thickens.)
I have a few more projects on the way. In addition to making a website, most of what i am working on is commissions for people (you know who you are).
Anyways on a parting note, if you are reading this, then it means you care enough to check my profile, this might not seem like much to you, but knowing that people look me up from time to time warms my heart and puts a smile on my face. Thankyou all for your support, in whatever big or small way it manifests
enjoy the holiday season and best wishes for 2011!

Dear Diary
Posted 16 years agoI promised myself I wouldn't become one of those people who posted blogs about what they were doing rather than actually being productive... But what the hell!, It's late, I feel talkative, and I haven't posted in a while...
I guess even if nobody reads this, its still helpful for me to type out my ideas so I can better prioritize them
So basically here is a list of things I have planned:
-A Fantasy Novel
Like, a real one. I want to get it published and printed in lovely archaic style leatherbound TOMES
Even though this will probably end up with me spending more money than I stand to make. I don't care. It's just something I've always wanted to do!
I'm still deciding whether or not to axe the copious sexual content so that the book can reach a wider audience... I mean, there will still be some, it just won't be the focus of the book.
-My very own HTH
After being thoroughly disappointed by HTH2, my eagerness to make my own game in this 'promiscuous mansion simulation' genre has increased even more. There is so much potential for a game like this... And I've yet to see it done justice! I feel kinda like a jerk for being so cocky, but I guess I'll just have to put my money where my mouth is and prove my point.
I should also mention this will have nothing to do with the original HTH games, it will be an original approach to the idea.
This will mean I stop producing short animations for a while as I work on the bigger project.
-New animation techniques
So I've spent a long while trying to make tweening look natural.. And I spose in a way I succeeded... But at the cost of a small part of my sanity. The more complex and natural I make my animations using tweens and layers... The more confusing it gets... You try organizing and choreographing 40 layers of bodyparts!
Then once I start nesting movieclips within eachother and animating them on a 5-clip-deep synchronized basis, things just start getting more scientific and less artistic...
So I'm going to go in a much more conventional direction and will attempt to redraw every frame, just like you'd see in anime. For that I'm going to need a new drawing tablet I think...
However- I also hear that Flash CS4 has inverse kinematics (skeleton-based animation possibilities)... So if this is true, I might even stick to tweening for a while and see how I go with this. I'd love to team up with a programmer and create a physics-based sex-sim, where you can control the angle, speed, rotation, etc of all the various bodyparts and create your own animations
-Still artwork
I realized the other night that if I spent more time on stills, and less on animating stuff, then I would probably produce way more content.. So maybe you'll all be seeing more stationary artwork. It doesn't move around- but it will be far prettier than my animated stuff. It means I can put lens flare on everything.
-Commissions!
I want to do more! I have a couple in the works, but I still have plenty of room for requests
I don't say this just because I am poor either~! Working with other people's ideas is much more interesting than working with my own
-Music
"Draconic Chamber Music" will be my debut full-length release; comprised of warm, ambient sounds of which I aim to parallel the atmosphere of my visuals. I hope that this is something dragons and furfolk everywhere will be able to stay up late to...
I'll have a preview up sooner or later.. But as usual with me, it might be a significant wait...
-A website
I figure its about time that I upgraded from just using FA as my base of operations. I'll probably do this once I finish my HTH-style game. With a website up, I'll be able to be much more involved in talking about my projects and animations, including the creative process and some backstory on my settings and characters. Another thing I would like to do is make a series of tutorials- because I think many people overestimate digital art and animation or go about it with a difficult approach and quickly get frustrated. If there is one thing the world needs more of, its good art!
Ok, I think I've got enough off my mind for now..
Now I'm off to dream of... more ideas...

Now Taking Commissions
Posted 16 years agoThats right!
Have a look at my profile info for more... info.
Instead of working on random small stuff for the hell of it, I figure I might as well work on bringing other people's ideas to realization.
Though if I get more free time, I'll still be continuing work on my usual short animations and a bigger project I'm developing slowly...
Stay tuned :P
