yes I have some news and sadly its not really good one...

My boss has told me he has delayed the time for turn ins on all holiday applications for another week to let everyone get their chance to get what they want *sighs* this sadly means by the time the end moment comes for the sign up it will be far far to late for me to get a Hotel Room at the Westin that I want. (yes I know I hear all the gripping but ya know I like the Westin and staying there its always been good to me.)

so with a heavy heart I must say I will not be at the con or able to put things together to make a Nom and Yap for this years event. if another chakat or someone who just enjoys the meets so far is going to AC and wishes to take command for a year please come talk to me so I can help where I can.

as it is I will be planning to try and hit up some other cons to make up for it and so far the ever fun Midwest Furfest has come to mind :3 for many reasons *crosses hir fingers about one of em* but hey wanted to go back and check things out again and maybe get to see the Chicago Battle Bunker again for GW but *nods* if I can go will be good enough for me, twice so if one plan follows through which will no doubt have me bouncing off the walls in joy but that's a story for another time.

well... I was alittle bored recently and went hunting through the internet to see who the big villain of the new x-men movie is... after seeing The Wolverine and hearing them talk about Trask industries I was hoping they would do the Sentinels... and I was hoping they would do one of the more recent looking designs from the comics... big mean... covered in armour angry purple and armed to the teeth with energy weapons... no... no .. after doing some hunting what I do find... I find Micheal Bay like Transformers that have been mocked up to look like Sentinels, seriously! MB transformer!? *sighs*

I am also willing to bet that how marvel movies will do it is that they will spend a fortune on doing the cgi effects for them as such you'll most likely get like a cropped in photo of like say meeting the president of some by gone time. or walking down a road something just still images with their look cropped in. but they will spend all their money on them for one huge battle scene most likely towards the end... or maybe the beginning of the movie with a bunch of em walking around blasting the shit out of things (maybe even killing some x-men for some extra effect) but the whole scene will be like.. 10 maybe 12 or so minutes like kinda like the big fight scene in iron man 2 between the hammer droids and Ironman with warmachine... violent, explosive, over the top and short as hell... and now I mean the fight not the scene where they are chasing iron man about but I mean after they land in the garden and Roodney and Stark are arguing over who has the bigger guns. :P

anyway to show what I mean by in my opinion they look like freaking Micheal Bay Transformers with glass domes on their faces... here are some pics and I'll let you guys respond and decide for yourself.

Well as of about half an hour ago it official turned August 22, this chakats birthday so yay I'm one year old and my 'cheapest' gift was one free trip around the sun already.. yay for year long gifts *laughs*

now this is not what I say its an epic way to start... the epic way was when I got home... after a long... long painful day at work I got home opened the door dropped my bags off whimpered alittle in pain... and then my eyes... my eyes went wide.

while I was at work my package from BlueTablePainting had arrived and was sitting on the little table I have just inside of my door. (had it delivered to my parents shop as I know they would be there, so I was safe and it didn't get let out and they brought it over and dropped it off.) I really won't lie to you all here... as soon as I saw that cardboard box with Shawn Gately's name written on it and Bluetablepainting as and all... there would be few forces I could think of that would stop me from opening that box ... running to the kitchen and pulling out the biggest meanest.. sharpest knife I could find I dug in and sliced amazingly carefully ever piece of tape holding that thing closed and popped the top.

there she was, In her custom case from battlefoam and unless all the horror stories I hear from people she was completely perfect and undamaged in anyway... my Storm Eagle. I'm still at a loss of words... I have waited months and months for this eagle and now its home .. its safe and its mine! I am the first and only one I know in all the gaming groups here in my home city (as far as I know) to OWN a fully assembled and ready to go painted up for war Storm Eagle gunship ... and the next tournament I go to she is coming along to kick ass and take names!! seeing it just, really made my day. its been a shitty week here or there and just seeing this, on the of my birthday really really I mean REALLY made my day. Best Birthday 'Present' in a long long time...

Well everyone as you know in my last journal I got trapped at Pittsburgh international. due to reasons beyond my control mother nature decided to drop a shit ton of rain on Toronto yesterday and got my flight cancelled.

so instead of arriving at 1 in the morning Tuesday I got home at midnight. part of the reason behind that was all the build up of delays from the rain storm... if you don't believe how bad it is look it up you can find photos it was nuts. (only found out after I got a hotel room and all.))

as it is I am now safe at home relaxing unpacking etc and just glad to have ground under my feet and a warm bed that is mine and won't cost me money to sleep in :P so yay for that. was a long tiring trip but i'm home... that's all that matters to me. I'll start putting up scans and stuff of all I got tomorrow.. um later today after a good night's sleep.

now for the shout out. a friend of mine and his gf/wify lady are in some desperate need of support through commissions... they were hoping for a really great con and though they did really well their was some things that just didn't go as well as they hoped. meaning they are about 2k short of the funds they need for the move they badly need to do...

now I want to help don't get me wrong just the speed of my money getting to them is not as fast as those of you who has paypal. so i'm gonna put up a notice to at least one of their journals on the matter in question... please if you can talk to them give a commission something and give them a paw...

Well this is highly unexpected and I felt everything should calm down before I do up a post here on my journal. well that and my friend needed to use my lappy so he can do updated and get his own ticket up and going.

yesterday I sat at the Pittsburgh international airport waiting for my plane when a friend  catmonkshiro was removed from his plane the one before and was transferred to mine. (after much hair pulling I won't lie). and we hung out waiting for a plane that was suppose to come 3 hours later.

at 6:15 we got told the plane was delayed to 7:45, a bit later we are wondering what's going on and I notice the timer has changed to 8:15... then we get the announcement that its coming in at 8:50. while wondering whats going on and waiting a bit more the lady at the front gave us the 'bad news'

My airplane from Pittsburgh International to Toronto Peterson International was just simply... cancelled. yup you heard me cancelled. it would seem that Toronto had a sudden and unexpected cause of flash floods that got as high as 5 feet in some of the road ways and had killed so much power that the airport itself was dark. can't really land in a storm when their is no assistance lighting strips I guess... more so when they are 4 feet under.

keeping close to Shiro and figuring out things we met up with a couple of other furs found a room at the hyatt and spent the night. funny enough middle of the night an unexpected rain. it was just wow but I don't think enough to really mess to much with anything around here.

so that's my story, I have just woke up i feel like i need a drink and i have to sit and hold on and hope that their is a plane for me at 2:15 pm today that air Canada rebooked me on. from their i land in Toronto and from their hopefully... hopefully fly home to Edmonton to arrive by 9:30 their time (that's 2 hours behind the time i'm in alright if your curious.)

Well that's right you all as you wished to know when I have landed in Pittsburgh as of... *looks at the time* an hour or so ago.... give or take. I got my hotel room with little to no trouble and i'm vegging a little in my room and for the first time ever... the TSA didn't inspect my luggage this year.... I feel worried and I don't know why :P but hey.

over all was a mostly uneventful trip, but was greatly enhanced by having a travel buddy since Toronto as I ran into a local fur from Calgary and we were on the same plane and all so that made things easier.

My next stop is to take a couple of my books ((sketch and ref)) meet some of the furs around here already, yes there is like a dozen of us already *laughs* and then wonder over to the bisto, if I can find a place nearby that sells pay as you go phones as well (gonna ask the front desk on that one))

That's right later today I will be heading to the Airport to sit down wait my hours and fly towards Pittsburgh.

I have to be at the Airport for roughly 10:30 pm for my flight at 1 in the morning or something *shrugs* oh well I don't mind :) means hopefully the resturants will still be open at least *laughs* from their I'll be flying my trip down to Toronto International. spending a little bit their then heading south to the City of the Steelers, Penguins and Pirates.

I should be their about mid day in Pittsburgh on Tuesday where I buy me hotel and .. well to be honest flop on the bed *laughs* ^.^

thankfully this year I also managed to pack great I think. I managed to fit all I needed in only 1 suitcase yay! and still have a little room for return *shi nods* though I will have my carry on backpack that I hope I won't have troubles with but last time I checked I shouldn't. in fact with just double checking it blows it out of the water for how small it is <.< its got my lappy, my models my passport etc so i'm good to go *shi nods*

Well as the title says I almost am starting to wonder if I inreality my home province has become the next California just because of RAIN!

dear lord the last time I saw this much was when I was In cali for Further Confusion and for the whole 6 days I was there it was non stop day in day out rain!... its like this almost here... I mean half my province is under Evac notice.. whole towns abandoned last I hear... hell one of the biggest cities in my home province (Calgary that is) has Rivers instead of streets right now!

to give you guys an idea... in thhe last 5 weeks we have had like... 7 days total without rain I swear, I've gone to work and in one night had 2 toronado warnings, and a serious thunderstorm watch and warning! >.< I've had hail the size of pebbles hammer on the roofs of the trucks I work in and even pelt my fluffy ass as the wind blows open our 'rain guard' and the next thing I know hail to the side and face...

just today while I was on the way home the radio was saying "Flood Warning for northern Edmonton" ended up being false thankfully but still... I know our province has had a bad drought the last couple of years but mother nature please give us a break! @.@

Its almost at the point were I honestly wonder if I'll have a house to come home too AFTER I've been to Anthrocon... I mean the last tornado warning was for the north west area of Edmonton around where my house is! and my dad even admitted that a week ago at the cabin we have he walked down to the lake and watched a waterspout pop into being on one side of the lake and rip across faster then he could imagine to the opposite side and was gone..

flying! duh :P its a bit far for me to carpool or walk ;) *laughs* hell even with flying its an 8 or so hour flight if I remember as I have to lay over in toronoto.

that's an easy one. originally I had plans and thoughts of being all by my lonesome I wouldn't mind that a bit, but as Midsnow really wanted to go and I wouldn't mind sharing a room with hir hey guess who ended up my roomie :)  werewolfss will be joining me for the con. *messes up hir mane*

Who will you hang out with during the convention?

To be absolutely honest... I don't know, I tend to always move around from place to play seeing people hanging out with those I know and care for, visiting friends seeing panels etc etc. last year Midsnow, blacktail and a few other chakats kept hunting and running around for me as they tried to keep up... instead I apparently was told I left after images everywhere I went and they just followed the trail of em.

How is the best way to find you?

I will be looking into finding a phone that I can use in the United States as my Canadian one loves to charge me an arm and a leg for things as little as a freaking text message... so while I'm down there.. DON"T TEXT MY CANADIAN NUMBER for those who know me... my cell line charge me 75 cents a text... be it I I sent it... or receive it. from what the last message told me.

as it is there are a few normal places that I tend to be found believe it not, at art tables of those I know like Windshear's and Goldfur's in the den, and a few others or you can tend to find me regularly more so at night after all the fun in the main Zoo hanging out with friends and artists I know.

as such I will be informing everyone I know who badly wish to get ahold of me the number they need to call when I get the cell to get in touch and all. so if you want it and you are at Pittsburgh tell me and i'll pass the number in a note to you.

Are there any panels you might be attending?

varies, all depends on if I find a panel that actually has my interest. I don't go to Anthrocon just for the panels after all ;) though I can tell you if there are any on warhammer 40k gaming and such you should be able to guess i'll try to make it *snickers* I love my hobby/game what can I say.

well everyone... I'm in a bit of a shot and my head hurts like mad but its been a day since it happened and now that I feel my shock has wore off I figure I should mention this. I don't know why I have the urge to do so I just do.

Monday afternoon around 4:45 pm I was loading one of my trucks at work. its 15 minutes to my break and i'm working away humming and glad that i'm so far ahead I was just finishing up the truck and was bringing on the next stack with the dolly kart.

as I got into the truck something... popped. I don't know how else to explain it but I heard the sound of a spring like you compressed one down then suddenly let it go. before I can even wonder what in the world is going on as i'm walking onto the truck the whole stake i'm carrying drops from a sudden weight at the same moment I get those wonder stars in your eyes after something of sizable weight connects with your skull.

I won't lie... I was nearly floored by this, swore like made and stumbled back from the hit and ended up panting and leaning on the wall inside of the truck. blinking the stars out and looking around I saw what hit me the clasp above the truck door had popped and the bright red fire extinguisher laying on the ground a foot or two from my feet. this is... *sighs* the second time this has happened though from 2 different trucks but this one was... worryingly... full I could tell from what the gauge on the side said. the other thing that caught my attention was that the damn thing didn't have a F'ing pin in it! which made me glad it didn't go off after slamming into my head.

after a bit of a breather I slide my way back up to stand picked up the damn thing and went to check in with my floor manager. he was shocked and worried for me but also joked about it to keep my spirits up I suppose while he texted the next guy up to let things know what was going on.

over all he checked me out put an ice pack on it and said that thankfully it didn't fall far or hit somewhere that could have made it drop me cold so over all I was in a lot better shape then I could be in and he felt not to worry to much over it. he maybe write but that doesn't make me feel a little anxious even tonight hence why I just have this urge... to put this up.

So i'm doing ok so far.. still hurts though not as much as it was. I still get a little headache but thankfully no dizziness or such that may hint of something worse even so...

I was at work today... around 3pm when suddenly I received a notice .. small that something had happened in Boston. I never heard any details just something had happened. I just didn't know what was going on.

Tonight I got home and had to do much work around the house but 20 minutes ago I logged onto my laptop came here and found a journal post on it from  Fivel I clicked... looked it up and then clicked on the link and watched the news article that gave me some info...

I maybe late in saying this but I wish to pass my reguards to everyone in that city... to everyone hurt.. to everyone worrying for loved ones, for friends, tourists, and .. I just can't say enough and when I see it I just kinda wish I could help... though I feel I may just get in the way.

when I review and watch this little video I feel happy for at least 1 thing amongst all the panic I feel at least happy that the Medics, police and all that were already present at the scene, they were there for the marathon I know but having them there I feel means things were not as bad as it could have been if medical need had to arrive and it took a while for them to arrive.

*sighs8 I can only say one thing about this... I never will understand why someone would do something like this. it just feels so... pointless.

Well Its been a while my list has been up a week or 2 longer then I was expecting sadly mostly because I've been soooo busy with work and life but whatever ! *nods*

I have added up the total we have 10 pre sign ups which is great i'm really happy to see that. also it seems everyone pretty much wanted to go to the bistro place so that's where we will be heading this year for AC 2013. so get ready for what looks like cool comfort food and drinks though as with before though I may not need to mention it I still will. if you choose to have some drinks please drink responsibly all I ask. don't want to have our first nom and yap at that place be our last and all that :P *laughs* sadly a number of the gang from last year won't be able to make it and I asked some new folks including some artists and they all told me they wouldn't be going to AC this year so ahhh poop.

well with the numbers I have now I plan to try and find a means to give up a call to the Bistro and ask how the policy works for having a gang of us coming down would work. I don't know if I need to make a reservation or not but hey *shrugs* so i'll let you all know how it goes.

now for some childhood memories... and made did it make me smile like I never would have guessed!

Friday evening after I ran out of work and did my hour bus ride home I snuck up to the big theatre mounted in the mall near my house. the place is called Scotia bank theatres used be called Silvercity and its in West Edmonton Mall. anyway this last Friday was the release screening of the 20th anniversary 3d digitally remastered JURRASSIC PARK! oh and I ran up to the theatre as I really really REALLY was hoping to get a seat... to my amazement within 3 minutes of me being in the line for the last screening of the night the Imax went from 'lots of seats' to 'low seats' and I just... JUST barely snuck in a spot the guy at the till sold me a ticket I don't know if I should have had (he gave me a wheelchair assistant seat *shrugs*) and let me go. now... oh my god... I may have been off to the far left and had to turn to look at the center of the screen but watching that movie... in the Imax.. with all the systems in that place oh it was amazing.. every time the T-rex boomed her way onto the screen the seats would vibrate due to the bass hitting you... the roar made ya wince... the fauna sometimes looked like it was peeling into the theatre on the very edges (made me happy to see even that little bit of '3d effect' considering I remember old school 3d and all the new rendition of 3d effects don't do that lately or at least rarely!)

Anyway... I felt like a Kitten again watching that movie... like I hadn't seen it before, I didn't know the jokes I didn't know who was gonna make it I don't know how as I remember watching that movie in the projectatist booth of an older theatre when I was young and my Mother had me sit up there and watch the movies until she was done so we could go home.

I laughed at all the jokes no matter how bad they were, I cheered on the actors mentally when they escaped harm barely I did all that... *sighs* I only wish I could have stayed to see if they added anything at the end of the credits but the theatre was closing up (nearly 1 am when the movie got out) and I didn't feel like I should hold them back or anything but wow... it was SOOOOOO good *smiles widely*

the other big shock I got about the redone came from that nights manager! I ran into him on the way out and talked for a bit about seeing it when I was young and at the other theatre with my mum who was an employee of his back then as well and then he told me that made my eyes go wide... I never would have guessed but he told me that the Jurassic Park movie was the only one for the WHOLE BLOODY DAY that pretty much sold out its tickets for every seat for every screening of the day...

just goes to show... you can touch it up, redo some sounds, add a little to the scenes here or there and despite all the little things it is still such an amazing movie it can still kick the ruddy ass of all the new hash coming out of Hollywood these days. heheh good old JP T-rex... showing the world for a second time... she's the biggest bad ass bitch on the silver screen and you just can't top her!

Thats right fluffies and lovelies the Nom and Yap of Anthrocon 2013 is now a go! as i finally have my paperwork through and my new passport is on the way (second try apparently i missed something the first and they declined me *shrugs*)) and as it is the early start up signing is a go! *waves arms like crazy fluffy* wooooo yah! party time!

Same as last year if you are interested and wish to come and join us please please PLEASE!!! tell me ahead of time here in my jounral *points to the comments box* that way i can begin adding you to a list and get a good idea how many of us furballs are coming!

there are a couple of changes this year from last such as who gets to be in the picture with muah! *grins* and they will be notified very shortly of that but there is one thing that i need to go over as well as begging you all for sign ups. the big thing is this!

WHERE DO YOU GUYS WANT THIS NOM AND YAP HELD THIS YEAR!!! you got that right i'm putting up a vote. everyone enjoyed the Tonic last year and they gave us alot of room and was loads of fun but! I have been given an idea for a new place for all of us chakats and chakat lovers to invade for an evening. the new location that has been advised by the wonderful advise of Chakat WIndshear is this place.

looks kinda neat and the meal look freaking tasty i will not lie. and for anyone who wants a shot of something strong well it seems alot on the tap at this location, seriously... they got like 6 beer menus... 6 BEER MENUS! i never knew that was possible. *shrugs* same as before you will be asked to drink responiably if you choose too. the nice bonus of this new place if you all wish to go and visit as well is that it seems to be a short brisk walk from the main westin hotel to reach this place so ya bonus there in us chakats not needing to wonder far :P

Greetings everyone... I am wishing to ask a question of anyone who goes to Anthrocon often and gets a hotel room in the main one.

I am quite curious... what is the layout of how you get a room i imagine you need to do a down payment but i was wondering if any of you guys can give details if you have done it often... I am wanting to go to AC and get a room for myself maybe a couple others but i just don't know how it works as sadly... *holds up hir home phone* I don't have a long distance line that lets me call the damn hotel... and so i doubt i can call em to get a place easily unless someone wants to be nice and set up a room for me :/ *is willing to pay back asap but doubts hir chances.*

either way i suppose this is a early call out question for 1. whose going and wouldn't mind a single roomie... and 2. whats the hoops you have to jump through to a hotel room in the main place?

Greetings all my friends and watchers. while I was at work today I came up an idea and layout for a really cool 40K piece. while i thought it over i also got the idea hey lets make it more awesome and see if i can get some of my friends and veiwers in on it... after all you guys seem to bug me all the time over how neat the 40K art I have collected over the years looks!

so there are a few things about this I would like to know and then warn ya about.

1. how many of you guys would be interested in this? I can't tell you how much it costs yet because i have to hunt down the artists and see how much they want to kill there paws working on something as cool as this.
2. please understand that i do plan to give the artist themselves a chance to take part in this. :) after all most 40K artists I know are so much into it as well it I think i can find a way to fit em in!
3. everyone who is in the picture will receieve notices on how its coming and how close to being finished it is. :)


now for the warings as after all these need to be mentioned.

1. as i don't know how much this will cost right now i feel it safe to say that doing something like what i have planned is gonna be leaning toward the higher price range.
2. I plan to keep this as secret as I can. so it will shock you all with the awesome of it all ! though you can pitch ideas voer and will see about adding em in.
3. there will be a limited sign up for this and I expect it to end up as first come first serve for the positions.

now for the tease :3 *shi giggles and smirks* the whole idea for this picture came around an idea ... an idea that came to me after i heard a song... a song for a movie.

the Theme of this picture that I have in mind. or at least the idea comes from this "Sky Fall"

I have held this off for a while not waiting until the actual day as i am one not normally to put up journals like this... i like to say merry christmas and all but i suppose my years of working at a 7-11 ingraining the idea of happy holidays to everyone seems to stuck more and so i haven't really put up a journal to any holidays. well that changes today.

P.s. i know this journal sounds odd... but its true and seeing the guy, day in and day out like this even when it goes to -22 c with windchill wearing spandex pants and a windbreaker just makes... and yes... this is all fact a guy does this... so please don't be angry at me for saying this... just don't know how to walk up and tell him to please dress warmer when he walks around like a street walker...

I honestly feel cold to the bone just looking at him... my toes tingle like i got frost bite...and from what i've seen... all the staff are the same. i hope he has something warmer to wear. i really do...

Greetings everyone, what I am asking my friends down south is actually a bit of information created by an author to be a part of the narritive of his book. it is all completely Fictional so please don't try to tell me I'm getting history wrong or something I know its not. just how the author wrote it... it sounded... plausiable even if history tells us its completely impossible. now to begin.

In the Clive Clusster(sp) Story Sahara(sp) It is mentioned early on that the crew of the Ironside found by the heros at the end of the book (and the movie) had a very simple reason why the conderate vessal got away, in the novel that reason unlike in the movie was that onboard was a kidnapped ABE LINCOLN!

In the novel if i remember correctly, towards the end of the war a rogue element of the confed army snuck up to Washington and kidnapped the present to use as a hostage to escape with all the gold and such (as shown with gold in the movie and novel.) as it was after they got away they apparently assissanted dear old honest abe and for some reason kept the corpse to show off later i guess.

in the novel, as this event happened towards the end of the war the US government at the time to continue and finish it (with the north winning) they effectively hire a body double. someone who looked and sounded so much like Lincoln that no one would know and that man did all the big speaches and all. when the war ended the government needed to tie off all the loose ends so they apparently hired a hitman to go into the theatre at the play and as real history teachs us blow the poor man away so now one will find out 'fake lincoln' is not the real macoy. all sounds good right?

not so much, at the end of the book with the finding of the shipwreck of the Ironside, and Mr. Lincoln's body it all suddenly becomes public knowledge what actually happened towards the end of the US Civial War and how... in a sense the south kinda won because of this. (depends on if you want to take that it would be the military leaders needing to say we lost or not i guess.)

now as i said, I know this is all ... completely fictional there is NO way in hell this could be true but I am wanting to leave a question to all my friends as i want to know YOUR opinion.. if.. IF somehow this was in fact true, if this wasn't a completely made up story and suddenly the present President of the United Sates Barak Obama suddenly came out and much like in the book anounced that history was like that, with poor honest abe being killed and all before the end of the war, AND that they found the shipwreck and all that jazz..

I am kinda curious... with how the US has grown up as a nation to what it is right now. how you all have grown up knowing it... how would you react to this new? how would you think the country would react to it?

I mean no offence to anyone, I don't mean to harm feelings in anyway... just am curious

I keep getting these dozens of messages in my journal posts of people running off to better, and greener pastures over the fence somewhere called Weasyl. now my best guess is that it seems to be an Art/story/ etc maybe even rant website like Furaffinity (don't flame me i only say Like because I've been HERE *points at FAs website* so long and this seems to be more recently made.)

it seems a little odd to me right now that a website you need to recieve e-mail invites just to get an account for it but i suppose its a great 'filter system' against alot of people that the site may not want as members *shrugs*

either way please give me your 2 cents about this I really am curious as i don't know all the details I only have my own theories and I prefer facts... so give me all the infos... well at least as much as is needed to give me a proper idea.

Ladies and gentlmen... I don't normally do this as you all know but it seems a friend of mine is alittle in the same boat as myself with money issues.

my lady I know in the near area by the name of  cherushi and her husband  AmonOmega are going through a little bind... and are desperately seeking commissions to raise up enough funds so they can pay off this months Mortage bill. it needs to be paid by the end of the month or sadly they will be suck having to go hunting for a new place.
