So I've been in the middle of a move the past month. I finally get to my new place at the end of this week and then start new job training! Lots of busy things but I'm trying to stay caught up on life.

Hey everyone! Here are some updates that have taken place here:

Characters:
I've moved all my characters to Toyhouse. It's not fully set up yet but most of them are on there and I'll be getting the rest up in the coming month. Profiles are slowly getting cleaned and updated and will continue to be built throughout the year. My profile has been updated to reflect this change and my website will remain live because I'll still use it to blog. (Though I'm considering moving my blog as well, that'll be a summer project though).

Commissions:
I have completed all the owed work that I was aware of. If I still owe you something you paid for PLEASE CONTACT ME and I will make sure you get what you are owed (whether it be the art or a refund/compensation). As of now I don't plan to take anymore commissions. I will still be arting but am taking time to draw my characters and give gifts to others, which is something I didn't have time to do when I had a commission list. If you catch me in a stream in the future and are really that keen on getting art for me then we can discuss it then but as of now commissions are closed indefinitely.

Life:
I'm wrapping up my Master's. Will have to leave my job (which is only for grad students) and will be moving to a new work place this summer. It's been one heck of a fun ride and I'm so proud of the work I've done and confident in where I'm headed. I'm getting a dream fursuit this year and taking a partial break from cons as I save up to restart my life as a new professional. I've changed A TON in the past year and am really looking into working hard at being a better person (not that I was a terrible person in the first place, I want to continue to get better).

Welcome back!

So I'm sitting down and reorganizing my commissioning priorities for my characters as far as who I want to get art of. I'm going to start posting more of the art I commission here as it comes in (my waitlist on stuff I'm waiting on is super long right now). As I'm writing this list I thought I would get input from my watchers, especially those that are watching this account for the characters I own, on who you want to see more of.

Here is the priority list as I have it so far: (this does not include commissions I get for my sonas, specifically Shimmer, who ammasses art no matter where she is on my priority list)

1. Stardragons (mainly because I want to become more active in the group again now that my classes are ending for the term)
- Specifically: Varina (who I'm likely going to be identifying as) and Ai. I'm going to develop more of Night and Mei's story through art as well and want to add something to Zecora's art because it's been forever since I've gotten art of her.
- Most of the art I'm currently waiting on is of my stardrags and only 1 bit of that is for Varina since she's new. Many that aren't listed are getting more art: The athletic trio: Rogue, Carter, and Ezreal, as well as Elise and Mia.
- Both Sam and Mia are at the bottom of the priority list as far as stardragon commissions go.

2. "Well-known adopts"
- This refers to the characters I have from well known species: My eerays, Aida and Delaila, as well as my dreamy, Monica. These three are really worth more time than I've given them (even though they have a fair stash of art as is) so I want to keep building upon what they have.

3. Other Characters I identify closer to
- This mainly refers to Finn and Kari but I want to start building more of an art base for Ama and develop more of Nikolas' character

4. This is the leftover. Not a lot of art is going to these two, nor will you find their images posted to my site but they will be needing and getting art within a year or so.
- First will be "Tiramasu" who I'm planning to get a badge of from Lapres once I get the final ref back from the artist.
- Second will be "Rune". I have big plans for him but it depends on the funds I have after I've accomplished all the other things.

AAAAND that's the list. Honestly most my funds will go to stardrags as of now but I don't want to forget about someone else.

Let me know your thoughts about this, or even if you want to see someone move up the priority list :) This thing isn't final and is just an outline as of now. Once it's complete it will legit be a list of names of which I can keep track who's getting art when. (I've always done this, but this is the first time I'm sharing it)

This is a bit late but it took me a while to get my life together XD Been super busy this start of the year.

First off, I don't believe in new year's resolutions, so this post isn't about that, just what I've updated in my life since the year has started.

Anyways, I'm just writing today to let you all know my adopt site got an update. Given that I've sold a bunch of characters, the majority of the remaining ones had their stories flushed out and art added to their page.

The biggest update is with my sonas. Lailadie has dropped in ranking for my sonas, and I no longer identify as her publicly. I personally still go by Lai, cause that's my name and what everyone knows is my name, but I don't have as much attachment to her as I used to. Anyways, there's more of that info on my site and whatever. Shimmer and Kasha had their bios updated as well because they were super vague and now more people can see them as I see them. A handful of my stardragons had their bios updated, and there's been a large amount of art added to the pages as well.

Not this year!

I currently don't plan on it. I'm not a drinker so parties aren't exactly my thing.

Wow, it's been two months since I've posted a journal! Man! I have NOT been on FA.

Business Stuff

I have effectively reached a point in my life where I will no longer be doing commissions. I don't draw nearly as much as I want to and am SUPER out of practice and at this moment in my life don't have the time/motivation to get back into it. You'll still see me post here because I'll be drawing personally and for friends. I'm going to be doing streams here and there to to give out freebies but I no longer have any interest in making money off my art. Those waiting on any commission from me (no one has paid me for anything yet, we've just discussed that I would work for you) you can consider that your project will not be done. If you did pay me for something (I really don't think there is anyone) that you never received, please comment or note me and I will shoot you a refund immediately!

I want to thank you all for your support throughout the years and will continue to enjoy having you here for those that want to stay to continue to watch me! Here's where I plan on going from now on:

So I've taken an much greater interest in sewing and embroidery than I have in drawing. The past couple of months, I've been preparing a sewing studio in my apartment! Basically all I still need are my machines! :D One has already been purchased and the other will be obtained post MFF. (My hotel for MFF is under my name so I had to budget extra for it while my friends pay me back :) ) Once they do, and mff is over, I'll be getting my sewing machine after the holidays and start off the new year sewing! I'm really excited for this and plan to start very simple by doing fursuit bandannas and maybe some other accessories. I won't be opening for commissions for these immediately but plan to make some for friends and some as premades. I also will be resuming phone cases but will again, start with premades and go from there. I'm still a grad student and work keeps me busier than expected so I'll likely still post at the same pace I do with art but I'm still really excited for this change. It feels like the right thing to do and by not tying my sewing directly to business I'll still enjoy it and get a lot done.

To those that had requested phone cases, and anyone else who agreed upon a commission with me, as thanks for your patience and understanding I am giving you a free coupon! :D This coupon will get you any premade item I create from now on for free. (So you'll still get something from me.) Basically, once I start getting premade things done (around February) you can just claim one and I'll ship it your way. I'll be making fursuit bandannas mostly, but also patches and I'm even considering doing some plush making!

Personal Stuff

On the personal side of things, my life is doing really well. I've transitioned into my new work position MUCH better this year. I've stayed connected with friends and really like my coworker. Grad school is stressful but going well! I'm passing my classes and learning things, and stepping ever closer to my masters.

I have been mainly communicating via Facebook the past few months and they finally kicked me out of my account via their bs fake name policy. I understand where they're coming from but given that they're changing their policy in a month it's stupid that they're attacking so many people now. I'm done with Facebook now, so those that are trying to reach me there, that's the thing. I'm not even using my real facebook and it's crazy how much of my life I've gotten back. You can still follow me on Twitter (which I'm now more active on, haha!) which is LailadieMeyan if you need a social media kick of cat.

Lastly, I've acquired a lot of fantastic new furry things that are coming my way slowly. The first to arrive was my hoodie by Lemonbrat! I'll post pics here eventually, it's really fantastic! The second were my cat ear headphones from that super long indiegogo! I love them and am so glad they finally made it. The third will be a kigu my MangoIsland. I'm so excited to see how it'll turn out! :D Hoping I'll have it for MFF but due to some delays that may not be happening but that's life! The fourth is my daki of Shimmer. You guys saw the image here done by lapres and I'm still waiting for it to arrive in the mail. Should be another week or so, it's still in China somewheres. The last thing is sitll a secret and I can't wait to show you all but that has also been delayed due to life things! (Neither of these delays were my fault and it's a bit ironic, haha!) That'll likely be revealed early 2016 so be excited!!

I've also made huge headway in my skills/playing of League of Legends. I'm Plat 4 currently and with the season ending early next week I'm excited to reap the profits of my hard work. More importantly, I spent about a month trying out to join a ranked team. I was accepted into on just a week ago and I'm excited for the new season to start to see where everything ends up.

Anyways, that's about all I got on life updates and what not. I'll post my MFF meme here before the con and look forward to seeing everyone there! :D I've started a list of people I have to meet so let me know if you want on it!
