I am typing to share my news.
I am leaving my job.
Its going to hurt drastically and I'm scared like no other.
I dont want to loose my job...
I love my customers and making cookies and cookie cakes. I have been there for years and since the new owner I feel that its my time to go. I'm scared.
I did find a new job but its only paying me half of what i was making and being the head of house hold scares me to pieces.
I am so scared so worried and so depressed to say good bye.
Im on the verge of tears and sick to my stomach.

I'm on the verge of loosing my job because I work for satan. This man's full time job is a pastor in a small town 3 hrs from his bakery store which he recently bought. This man is nothing worse than satan himself. He makes me and my staff feel completely worthless till there's nothing left of u to give to him. He's taken something wonderful and enjoyable to just utter hell.
After rmfc I will be job hunting cause I'm not going to take his abuse. Good luck finding ppl to work u ass hole!

Okay I can not contain my excitement!
My vacation which I so need right now and a wonderful furcon? Oh yes truly amazing
I will be on the road next Thursday for 9 hours or so with my good friends Snowbunny and Roxy to get our fuzzy butts to RMFC.
We should be arriving around 5ish if not to many delays or potty breaks. Its a pretty straight forward trip on highway 70 so it'll go smoothly like last year.
We have 3 full suiters going thank god I have an SUV. Lol Last year I rented a small car due to only only 2 people going and I didn't have a full suit then. Now we got our paws full! I have a cooler that I'm going to pack or that Snowbunny is going to pack with foods and snacks.
Well be gone early early Thursday morning and we will leave kinda early Sunday. Tho as much as I would love to stay later on Sunday, we live 9+ hours away so we cant stay late. We will probably leave around noon to say our good byes.
As far as our trip home tho, we are going to be stopping randomly as best we can to take pictures at road side signs or just attactions in partial suits. =) Lots of fun Selfies! Lol
I have been squirrelling some money away for this great vacation so I got money to spend if I wish. =) Probably wont go to over board but the look of the den this year is double the size of last year....So theres going to be more options. maybe some new tails in my future who knows! Still very excited

So after nearly a year with a new owner....Life has gotten much harder
I feel nothing will ever been good enough for him and hes looking for reasons to get rid of me
After Aug it'll be his year and the contract with the last owners will be over with him having to keep me. I feel he is going to use this to let me go. I am not 100% but just feel that no matter what I do, how many hours I work, how good our sales are and what I do for this man, he will terminate me.
These last 6 months have been more stressful than ever. I do what he wants to the T and then he comes back and wants to do it differently and yells at me and the staff for doing it the way he wanted first. Like we can read his mind.
Several occasions hes double backed what he said and what he wanted. For example, our ice cream has white rims that we put on them to make them look more appealing as well as helps the tubs not slide around in our dipping freezer. He wants us to remove them nightly and wash them. Cool whatever. I asked him (in an email) saying if we had time after washing them, around closing time or after close can we put them back on so in the morning I don't have to struggle to get them on in time to open. He goes sure. THAT VERY SAME DAY I closed with a coworker of mine said since were slow lets put them back on (its around 9:12 we close at 9:15) finish our closing duties and leave for the night. I get an email no less than 20mins after we leave saying why are the white pieces still on there. Did you take them off? I see you closed whats up with this? Like really? You spy on us with your cameras all day and didn't see me take them off at 8:30pm and me and laura putting them back on at 9:12??? Its been a constant like this and its been full of negative words from him. Nothing is good enough. Our sales this month are up 10% from last year, our cake sales are up nearly 5% from last year and the store has been doing everything he asks us to do. Each new visit is something more to add to the list of were not doing something right and its just draining. I make good money here and I know I work like a dog. I use to Love my job. I didn't mind working 55 hours, having no holidays and having minor ups n downs.....But now, now I dread waking up, I dread coming to work, I dread this feeling! I miss wanting to work. I miss my happy staff who comes in with no smiles and hatred for me or the owner. They hate me cause I have been forced to cut hours or hate me cause Thayne is always on my case so I make it known to them to pick up their slack. Just there is no more happiness at my cookie store. I miss it. I miss Tim and Nicole with all my heart. I work for a paster now who doesn't trust anyone and makes everyones life hell....=( I just don't know what to do but put a fake smile on and bend over and take it till Aug comes up and see if I have a job after my vacation to RMFC2014.

Well yesterday was intense.
At work sometime between midnite and 1am 2 fire subression lines broke at our main mall enterance.
This flooded the whole wing. If you have ever been down to my store that's a lot of WATER!
We didn't open yesterday till 1pm
The hallway is still closed and being cleaned
Panera was damaged beyond a point they now are having new carpet and tile laid.
American girl is having new carpet in and poor barnes n noble they lost a lot of product tho they hope to open today.
What a roller coaster. several stores affected including mine. Luckly today we are open and ready to go but cant say the same for other stores. =/

On another note, Milo the suit ive been repair is on to a new maker to help with the eyes?
Her friend didn't seem to like how I installed the eyes so I mailed it to her. =/
I know I don't have a lot of experience but the head, to me in the 3 days, thought I did pretty good. Oh well...cant please teens sometimes I guess.
Tho with these last 2 heads that I have repaired and finished, it got me thinking. A lot of people are starting to come to me and wanting me to fix up their heads. Some from poor makers, some first time heads that they want fixed, and so on....So I think that's a good start for me to work on heads. I am not a good sculpture but I know how to sew and do line work. ^_^ Maybe this is a good thing.
Next on the list for finishing/repairing is Prismapaws head and tail set

No deadlines set so I don't have to rush like I did wiggles suit in 3 days! so this will be a great learning curve. And for help I can always go to SheKing a local suit builder for any help!

I am also going to experiment with fursuit shorts. They aren't a normal everyday wear, these are for personal fun times. I am making a pair for my boyfriend for a prototype and if they come out well, we will go from there. Not saying much on them as they aren't family friendly, feel free to message me if you might be interested in knowing more information. ^-^

Okay so I have finally nailed down a maker for my next suit.

Ive been in debate over the last 3 months for it and ive gotten quotes from MANY ppl
I have a DHC suit so feel that a new style would be fun.
This suit maker makes killer Monster cats and I feel with my Sabor Tooth it'd look good

Okay so I found a great spot for an OpFurConnection furmeet!
It's in Shawnee Mission park. We're going to have a SMORE NITE!
Its 75$ for the venue which i can help raise money for and we can get a bunch of us to bring Chocolate, marshmallows, and gram-crackers!
Of course water and sodas will be there but any help you may lend will always be helpful.
Theres a fun open field, a great lake, a huge pirate ship play ground and tons of grills if someone brings weenies. ^-^

Okay so here's whats been going on with me...well more or less my family.

A few weeks ago, my boyfriend of 9years, started to feel weird. A week went past and it wasn't getting better. =/ So finally guys being guys, made me make an appointment to go see a doctor. I know its not fun to see them especially if theyre there for the back door exit if you catch my drift.

Well, the doctor came back with nothing good. Something is very wrong. He was tested for an infection which came back negative. So now he has to go to another doctor that specializes in Cancer. His appointment for the specialist is next Tuesday. =/

So as of now, I am trying to be strong for him. Smile, tell him I love him and be with him while we wait to see if he has Prostate cancer at the age of 27. I'm very scared and feel helpless in this whole thing. I feel frusterated over the fact I have been asking him to get yearly check ups since he was 23. His dad had it, his grandfather died of it....his family told him to get checked. Now there might be no option. So I'm keeping my head up and hoping its something that is curable or removable or fixable.
This may delay work if work is owed.
So keep good thoughts about him. If your religious, pray for him to be okay. If your not just hope that things will work out okay. Cause I'm very scared.

Okay so...
Just going to say this: I am not trying to replace any group! I want this to be a fun friendly way to communicate and get more meeting events going. That is all.

Ok guys, lets sit down and have a little chat about money. I seem to have this re-occurring problem with commissioners/auction-winners/customers in general with their finances. Here are a few personal remarks that you may want to take into consideration.


There is a big difference between having the money for something and being able to afford it


Just because you have the money for something presently doesn't mean you can afford it. If you have $1,000 in your savings jar and your fursuit parts cost $900, you may think you can afford that/those items, right? Well ok, what happens if you miss a few days at work because you were sick and now rent is due? What if your car gets a flat tire, or needs engine work? Suddenly that $900 you just spent could have come in really handy, couldn't it?

I don't mean to pick on anyone individually, please keep that in mind, i'm just noticing a trend here. I have had plenty of each type of person. If you have to agree on a payment plan with an artist, you should already use caution when it comes to your finances. When you commission someone or buy something off of auction, you make a commitment to that individual. This means you make your payments on time and you pay what you said you were going to pay. If you have to backpedal and make excuses for yourself, you couldn't afford the commitment you just made.

Keep in mind that we are people on the other end of the screen-names. We live in homes, just like you, and we have bills to pay, just like you. We are not fursuit-building machines in some warehouse that only need a little maintenance every now and then. Believe it or not, many of us actually depend on you as the buyer/customer to be able to pay our bills. I understand if you have rent and bills to pay, i have them as well, but if it's a choice between paying your bills or making your payment to your fursuit builder on time, you've made a big mistake.

Please do all the artists out there a favor; if you cannot afford their work, do not commit to paying for it. This also extends to people who try to haggle. We are artists, not used car salesmen. When you try to haggle with us, it's both frustrating and insulting to have to deal with, and many artists won't even reply to you if you try to haggle with them. It's an insult to us as artists because we pour our hearts and souls into our creations, we literally put our blood, sweat, and tears into each project we work on, so for you to come along and try to haggle our prices says that you don't think our struggle is worth what we are asking price-wise. It's frustrating to deal with people who try to haggle because most, if not all of us, are not going to budge on the price. By insisting on haggling with us you waste our time. If you feel it necessary to haggle, you probably can't afford what you're haggling over.

If at some point during your commission process you discover that you can't afford the thing you just commissioned after all, the first thing you need to do is politely let your artist know your situation. Do not ask for pity or special treatment please, you are just making our jobs harder at that point. We have Terms of Service that include things like 'non-refundable down payments' that you must abide by, so if you decide to cancel your commission because you couldn't afford an item, please take that into consideration. It is not our responsibility as artists to give you special treatment because you were not wise with your money. Cancelling your commission is already taking away part of our future income, do not expect to receive your non-refundable deposit to be refunded to you just because you tell a sad story or get angry.

Again, if you have to haggle or ask for special treatment, you could not afford the item.

It is still ok to offer compliments to the artist, such as "Wow! I wish i could buy this thing, it's lovely!" it does get a bit tedious to hear if you're trying to get something to a new home and all you're hearing is those comments, but it is still a compliment, which is greatly appreciated. There is a difference between complimenting an artist and making a commitment though, so please do keep that in mind




I'm sorry for the somewhat rant-like post, but I've had to deal with quite a few people over the course of my fursuit building career that fit into this description. Please be smarter with your money, it will be better for both of us in the long run if you are! Thank you for reading, and have a great Saturday!

Ya know with start of February there has been nothing good about 2014 so far. And as February comes to an end today, it still seems pretty shitty and not looking to bright for March.
I've been beatten down by customers this whole month that I could just punch every single one of them.
My boss has been riding me about hours to the point hes cut my staff back to where i am the only one working.
My car died 2 weeks ago, forcing my hand to buying a new one. Love the car dont get me wrong but damn could I save for once?
Then the FOLLOWING day my computer crashed costing me 250 to repair it. Thankfully my bf covered that bill. And then my washer desided to stop working, forcing me to buy a new one as well...Thankfully my mom bought that (she does live with me)
I am selling off my fursuits that i have (NOT KITSU!) but rehoming the others. I dont have much of a choice. =( I understand fursuiting/furries is just a hobby and I would love to make a job out of it but in a pinch I have to let things go that I dont want to. =( So if anyone is up for buying Chip the Shep (head, tail and paws) hit me up. I get the commissions I get done asap but I want to do more with them. More tails, more paws, maybe ears....Who knows...I'll even settle for lots of badges. Tho everyone wants digital badge work and I dont do that. I cant aford SAI

Okay I think i'm done venting. Just been really depressed and I just wanna get out of this funk. I think I'm gunna go fursuiting for the hell of it in public to liven things up a tad. LOL
Oh and I am trying to write a book. I dont know how well it will be cause I am not a writer but I have a realy good story in my head that i wanna put down. Maybe i'll post it on here to see how things go and get advice. if it turns out good maybe ill get it published. =/ something to shoot for at least.
