Today has been a bit rough, my heart goes out to my in-laws. They're having their 17 year old Siamese put down today, his body has just given up, he wont walk, wont eat, wont drink, he cant even purr or meow anymore... it was so hard to hold him and not cry. I've known him for 10 years, he was one unique kitty, and one of the first cats I'd seen that had such a personality, I'm really gonna miss him.

So I've been finding myself getting increasingly annoyed at my current computer workspace at home. I used to have a computer desk, till it fell apart, and unfortunately the only thing I had as a suitable replacement was a small hutch. Not long after the desk fell apart, so did my computer chair, so now I use a wooden kitchen chair... This makes for one of the most alkward, uncomfortable working spaces I've ever had, which is probably another reason why I haven't been inking many sketches as of late (that and my back still can't handle sitting in the hard chair for too long)

I can't wait till things get easier and I can get a new desk and chair x~x on that note, I wish I could get either a new computer, or a tablet-laptop x3

Sorry I've been a little slower with uploading things lately. I usually draw at work, but due to current drama going on in my city, the zen of my sketching space (work) has been completely thrown out of whack. I can't sit in my usual, more secluded section, where I could draw without worrying about people walking behind me, but now I have to sit in the middle of pretty much everyone.

Sure, I could just draw more worksafe art (where's the fun in that ;3 ), and sometimes I do, but I just cant get the right flow going where I'm sitting... I've started and scrapped a few sketches, just because I can't -feel- it *sigh*

Also have the musing for a sexy comic  kitmouse and I might attempt, it's still in very very very rough stages, but at least it's a starting point. Kit'd be doing the scripting and storyboarding, I'll be doing all the images, and coloring (if it ends up being colored) Anyone that has tips for making a comic, I'm all ears ;3

Anyone have any good tips/tricks/tutorials for shading? I know my shading isn't terrible but I'm very unsatisfied with it. Should I go to more of a cell shaded style? Any suggestions people wanna give I'd love to get 'em :D

Well my back is deffinitely getting better, I can walk with little difficulty, although I still cant sit in my computer chair for too long without my back spazing, crappy chair that it is, so I still cant ink anything atm, which is buming me out a bit. My old-boy rattie Archimedes died yesterday, he was about 2 and definitely starting to show his age, although I wasn't expecing him to go so soon. I really miss him, I still find myself going into my room and hearing him skittering around the cage that is no longer there, or eating a snack and wanting to give him a piece...

For now I have no plans on getting more rats (although that's what I said before we got Arky and Kube {who passed away last fall}) Kit has been saying we might eventually get a bunny, we'll have to see how that goes.

2011 wasnt a terrible year in comparison to 2009 and 2011, in fact the last half was probably one of the better times I've had for the last while, and hopefully 2012 keeps going uphill from here.

I was just browsing through my journals and noticed I haven't given a proper update in a while. Life has been going for me, nothing overly awesome and nothing overly bad has been happening, so that's good at least. Finances are still incredibly tight, but I'm getting by and hoping things will pick up in the new year.

I have a few artistic projects I hope to make some headway on next year, the first being a set of MLP themed hoodies (which I may or may not sell, I haven't decided), I also want to re-attempt a pin-up calendar with all my girls (and I'd love some suggestions for month themes to use), I
d also like to learn how to make my own custom MLPs, I've always admired them, and since I'm so in love with FiM I really want to give it a try, And finally I want to make some kind of comic, preferably an adult one. Now to hope that I'll have the time/money/motivation to do any of it x3.

I'm gradually working through the art that I owe, so things should be getting posted sometime over the next few weeks, in between all the holiday craziness. I could use a real vacation. I took some time off of work because I was totally burnt out, but it wasn't enough to make me feel rejuvinated. I also wish I had more local, artistic buddies to have drawing sessions with... I don't agree that people should illegally force themselves into a country, but once they're here, it does more harm to the country to force them out than to keep them (especially agriculture.)

If she's going to be a responsible mother why not? Age doesnt determine whether a person is a capable parent or not, it's the decision that person makes. I've met many a grown woman who should be forcefully sterilized to prevent them from ever causing harm to potential children, and many young adults that seem capable of shouldering the responsibility

Why not, if people are considered adults at 18, then they should be considered responsible enough (although I doubt many are).

Now this is touchy, I suppose it'd deppend on why the person wants to commit suicide. If its a person that has a terminal illness, where it's going to get a lot worse before they finally get to have the peace of death, then yes, I support it. But I dont support it if it's some emo asshat who would rather be dead than deal with life.

I was spanked as a child, and I agree with it. Theres a HUGE difference between a disciplinary spank and the blown up 'child abuse' claims that people seem to make about spanking. There are just times where talking or yelling to a child cant get through. Sometimes they need the mental shock of a quick slap to the butt can bring.

14. Would you burn an American flag for a million dollars?
well since burning a colored, albeit symbolic, piece of fabric really has no impact on my views about said country, yes, I'd totally burn the US flag for money.

So I guess I'm mostly Fluttershy with a pinch of Twilight Sparkle ^^

Well if things go well I should be getting a Tablet sometime in November. Once I do, I'm thinking of posting random characters I draw and auctioning off the rights to them. What this would mean is that the winner of the auction would own the character in the pic, they can pick the colors (at which point I'd color 'em :P )and can use the character in any way they want.

If I did this, would any of you be interested? I also wouldn't mind hearing suggestions of what you'd want to see.

Sorry for the lack of postage... I've been experiencing a stress induced art block that I think is finally starting to crumble. I've been trying a variety of things to break it, and it seems I'm getting through, if the few things I've been doodling are any indication. If all goes well you'll start to see some sketches posted soonish, but nothing colored until I get a new Tablet. For those that are waiting on art from me, sorry for all the delays, I am trying to get little bits here and there done :3
