Weekends are back, drawing shall commence!!
Posted 11 years agoLike it says, I finally get my weekends back and I think I'm getting in the mood to draw (hopefully this art block/wall has finally breaking) With any luck I can start on old art trad stuff and vary, vary late contest prizes! If I can't get in the mood to do those then I just may doodle stuff until I can, most likely Flight rising stuff or my Mass Effect characters x3
Anyways, how are you guys? long time to see...talk...chat? xD Been kinda lurking here and not really saying much for quite some time so I thought it was time to speak up! soullesshusk character auction!

Posted 12 years agoOk, so I know its been a while since I’ve posted any of my own art. My tablet and pen are up and working again but my art block hasn’t seemed to have dissipated yet. So I’ve been trying to be creative in other ways to try and spark something. I’ve been doing a lot of writing and some wood working.
For the past several weeks I’ve been working on a curly willow branch to turn it into a walking stick for my dad for Christmas. So I’ve been cleaning off the twigs and sanding off the bark. (I would have just pealed the bark off when it was still green but by the time I got the brach the bark had already turned black.) Anyways. I’m finally down to the last leg of corse sanding. I’ve had to sand alot of it by hand because of the nooks and curves but I should be able to finish sanding it today. After I used the fine grain sand paper on it then all that is left is to drill a hold in the top and stain it. I just wish I knew someone who was good at whittling so I could have them carve a neat design into it.
Anyways, thats what I’ve been up to. I would love to know what you guys have been doing! Oh and when I get this project done I’ll make sure to post pictures of the finished product! <3

Posted 12 years agoSo it looks like drawing will have to wait till next weekend, I won’t really be able to do much until I get my pen, which really sucks! I was really looking forward to drawing again then this shit had to happen!

Posted 12 years agoYesterday was my best friends birthday (I've known this girl for almost ten years now) and she was meeting a new part of her family for dinner -biological dad- and she wanted me to come with her so she could have someone to talk to other then her mom. So I got dressed up -nice jeans and a cute t-shirt-
So we get to the restaurant and the place it packed, I'm already starting to sweat, I have a hard time just going to the store on my own when there is a large amount of people. So we sit down and its just me, her mom and Jess for a while and that was alright and although I was nervous I could handle it. But when Jess's father came in with his wife and two kids it started to get uncomfortable, and it didn't help that the table was so small.
Don't get me wrong, they were all really nice, but when they kept staring and me and directing a good portion of the conversation in my direction it was just to much, I had such a hard time getting through dinner that I ended up having to hand my debit card over to my friends mom while i made a bee line for the door. I felt so bad, and so embarrassed.
This is just becoming ridiculous, I think I'm gonna see if my insurance covers therapy and see if that will help this.

So, this will be a two part contest because I have two characters; Decimus and Tazin, that need some markings and or design changes. Info: In general, most people would find Dec cold and rather sadistic in his nature. Before he went to prison he was a ruthless pirate who hijacked ships for their goods: killed crew, stealing valuables and sometimes selling surviving crew or passengers to the batarians, ultimately he did what ever would make him a good profit.
After he was caught with some of his gang he was sentenced to 300 years, in other words he would never be up for parole or get out. About three years into his sentence he met his mate Z, a Batarian who’d just turned twenty and was in for a good fifty years. (Dec would be in his early thirties by this time) . They spend a few years locked up together before they managed to come up with a plan to escape. The plan had gone almost perfectly but Dec had been injured severely and made Z go one without him. (This is where they are separated for a few years) Because of his connections on the outside Dec is able to get a new identity as a mercenary.

Info: Rather sarcastic and impish in nature, he enjoys playing pranks and having a good laugh at other peoples expense. Tazin was born and raised on Omega, his mother died in child birth due to complications and as a result he was raised by the physician who delivered him; a quick talking, wise cracking salarian. But Taz was by no means a healthy baby, because of a rare genetic defect that caused his plates to not form correctly or at all in most cases and caused his hide to be a little thinner compared to most turians, he was also unfortunate enough to be an albino and alot of the side effects that came with that; poor eyesight, light sensitive eyes and UV sensitive hide.
So what is a young turian with so many problems to do to make some credits? Well what ever he had to, the Salarian who had raised him and died when he was about nine (due to old age) and that left Tazin on his own. He had to scrape by on stealing, running and sucking up to some of the most dangerus gangs on that rock just to get enough to eat. But half the time he had to go hungry. The malnutrition at such a young age stunted his growth and he hasn’t been able to get over five feet.
(Tazin needs some markings he can use when he’s dealing with unsavory people, he will switch back and forth between the face paint he has currently had the markings he gets from this contest.)

Posted 12 years agoI’m considering doing a small contest within the next few weeks and I was wondering if anyone would be interested.
My turian character Decimus is an escaped convict and I was thinking that after he escapes that he changes his appearance; markings, color of his cybernetics, robotic limb (arm) and so on. Anyways I’m having trouble coming up with something for him so I wanna know what you all can come up with.
There would be a few prizes because I may combine some or he may use two sets of markings to change things up. Anywasy, the prizes would be money (via paypal) and art.
So what do you guys think? would you prefer to draw him up yourselves or would you like me to provide a line art for you guys to color? All input would be helpful ^^

Posted 12 years agoOk, so I'm really bad at drawing fur/hair and I'm trying to draw my Fu Dog anthro but I'm having serious trouble and i'm getting frustrated to the point that I'm about to delete the whole file (though I know I'd regret it the second after I did it.)
So if anyone would be willing to give me a general sketch of how its supposed to go, on a separate layer. I'd love them so much! I'd even give them some free art...as long as it didn't include a mane/long hair. xD

~I'm thinking of starting up the free turian concept again, I'll make a new general turian pose for both male and female, with the option of having the fringe like the cannon female or in my own style.
~ Considering doing a cheap YCH auction, possibly someone's lucky character de-flowering my character Dom (bulls eye target turian) , or someone paired up with Lucian (orca turian) or Jericho (drell) lol hell I'll even throw Jaxx out there if anyone would like to have there character with him xD (aka my chubby purple krogan)
~Night Terror comic, where my critter N.T interacts with different beasts and monsters. I'll need different monsters and critters for this so I'd probably put up a Journal with people commenting to be added to the list of characters going into the comic.
~ Porns, gonna try and start doing it more xD I'm gonna practice on drawin more smexy pictures of my characters and other if they allow me to used them lol

Posted 12 years agoEver get the feeling like your stuck in a rut? Cause I know for a fact that I do.
When I was in high school I though by this time in my life I would be working towards becoming a vet, saving up to move out and have a steady boyfriend. Currently none of these seem to be coming true. For one I dropped the though of becoming a vet because I have a hard time dealing with blood (in real life, fake blood and wounds don't faze me), I'm still trying to save to move out but that seems like a dead end street with my job going no where. And the boyfriend situation is a joke, I hate to admit this but I've only ever been on three dates, none resulting in a boyfriend of any sort.
God, some times I wonder if I'm ever going to meet someone, or if I was just meant to be alone for the rest of my life. I'm 22 and I'm stuck at a job I don't care for, working hours that kill and only getting paid minimum wage. Sure people can argue that at least I have a job, that at lease I'm making money. Well fine, I'll give you that, but I have to pay for my own insurance and rent, and the co-pay for any medical bills, include the cost of gas and my little paycheck dosn't add up to much. No matter how much I save I don't seem to be getting any where.
So for the next months or so, I get to work 7 days a week, and 6 days out of the week I'm gonna be working 8 hours a day. I'm already feeling tired working six days, and sunday was my only day off where I could relax and recuperate and now I don't even get that.
Needless to say I've been a little stressed out, I'm depressed about quite a number of things: things I've already spoke about here, and other issues that have to deal with me that I won't mention because its embarrassing and I have a hard time even mentioning it to family. Its going to be really tough trying to make it though the next 4-5 weeks of none stop work and the depression I've been trying to push through.
Anyways, thats the end of my little rant. Sorry to bug you people, but its are to speak these things aloud, some times its just easier to type them.

Posted 12 years agoOk so you guys may have realized for a while know that I haven't been all that active in recent months. Well the reason has a few parts to it.
1. Work, and the main reason. We have started getting into the busy season at the green house I work at, I have gotten some pictures but the plants I'd taken pictures of about a month ago are now almost three times as big xD. Lol I'll still upload them if you guys want, just let me know if you want to see them.
2. I've been getting into a few t.v shows lately: Hemlock Grove, Prison Break, Game of Thrones so on and so on. But those episodes are rather long and xD I only have so much time lol
3. Trying to get the plants I got from work in the ground, so that means weeding, and working the soil before I can even get the plants in the ground. I have gotten my peppers, onions, and blue berries ready, lol but I have a little more work before I can get my Butternut squash, cantaloupe aka muskmelon and tomatoes. I even have a sweet potato plant this year x3 not to mention the flowers lol
So needless to say, with how busy I've been I'm quite tired all the time and it gives me a bit of art block. I'm hoping that in a few months when the rush to get annuals for the year is over I'll have a little more time on my hands and I won't me working 7-8 hours a day 6 days a week.
