Just wanting to let everyone know I have been in the progress of moving. I have been extremely busy with painting and packing and all the fun stuff associated with moving! And I am not done lol Have to finish moving, then cleaning the place I am leaving, then unpacking. Woo. I am tired to say the least. Lot of strains have popped up along the way but I suppose I am managing. Just cant wait to be done with it all!

I don't like talking about my mental status. I really don't. I don't want people to think I want attention. I am open book with everything but my emotions. For me to talk about it means its getting to be too much and I need people to be semi aware of my behavior. I am not asking for help or comfort. I am just requesting patience and understanding. This isn't something I wanted to open up about because of how personal it is. But I don't want people, especially those waiting on commissions to be in the dark. i don't want to continue with any kind of vague excuses why it might take me a while to get the energy to work on my list.

There was a death in my family about 2 weeks ago. The kind that shakes the worlds of anyone remotely connected to that person. I don't feel comfortable giving more details than that.

I have always struggled with expressing emotions. So I don't really know how to put them into words or understand them. So all I ask is for patience and understanding. It may, no, it will take me longer to get through these commissions. I haven't completely stopped drawing. I have been doing some things to pick up my spirits a bit. The trolls I've been doing for example. They make me happy, at least for a bit. So expect to see more of them...

So, my work laptop that I do all my art on is beginning to worry me. I mean, it's like 6 years old. While if it just completely fails out of the blue, I DO have CSP on my gaming pc, but I don't want to use my gaming pc as my main work space either.

It's going to be some time, least a few months before I can comfortably buy a new computer. I start work again on Jan 2nd, so my 1st paycheck will be around the 23rd ish. Fortunately with having more roommates now, it's a lot easier to save money.

Anyways, It's been like 3+ years since I last shopped for a new computer. Wouldn't mind some recommendations. It doesn't need to be super fancy. No apple products. Not that I have anything against them, but I don't feel like relearning how to use a computer lol No tablet/pc hybrids. I am content with my Intuos tablet. I'd say my budget will probably be around $6-800. I think RAM and storage are my main concerns and I want it to have a 17' screen. Lol I've been using a pretty basic Dell for 6 years. I just want some ideas to consider for a few months.

I figured I would try to keep everyone updated regularly on my progress. I want to use this journal to show whose I am working on and what phase I am in. I will edit this journal as I make progress! I hope this helps!

Ok so I am opening for 3 commission slots right now. However, I am changing up how I take them. I am no longer going to take just any commission. I will be filtering through them based on how interested I am. I have made a Google form that can be filled out. Unfortunately, I do not get any kind of notifications for when one is completed, so I will try to remember to check it daily lol I do get distracted very easily and forget pretty much instantly so I will probably need to set a daily reminder XD

So I went to a reptile expo today and handled some crested geckos and OMG they are SOOOOOOO cute! I am thinking about making some chibi crested gecko adopts and see how they go. Possibly to save up for a few when the next expo comes at the end of January >:3

Lot's of changes occurring. Getting settled with these changes. I've been drawing more lately. The CPU in my gaming computer is fried as of last week and at 1st I wanted to rush and fix it. But decided it forced me to sit down and draw more. So I'll fix it later. Working on a ref sheet for another character I am designing that is inspired by the Dues Ex universe. Everything about him has been different for me so it's been interesting. Got a couple more things to finish before I share him.

I keep considering opening up for commissions again but I still don't feel ready. If and when I do, it will probably only be 2 at a time. Heck I still have to back like a year or so for prior commissions I never had the energy to start. Working full time and being in the amount of stress I was in made it difficult. But I think my life is becoming less stressful.

So crossing my fingers that this keeps up.

And if we did discuss a commission at point, feel free to let me know if you are still interested. Even though it has likely been roughly a year since we talked about it O_O but this is also why I don't take money on commissions until I have at least started it. Currently it looks like we will be laid off from work roughly the same time as last year, but for a shorter amount of time. Maybe 2-3 weeks instead of 6. Who knows.

Alright so seeing how it's probably getting closer to seasonal layoff, and I have been short on monies lately, I think I'm going to ease into commission related stuff by doing a few egg adopts a week. It will be the same as how I did them last time. I will offer a few designs and the buyer can choose species, sex, and body type. I'll probably list 2 to 3 per week $40-50 each. Just a heads up and all...

Recently single, so much has been going through my head. I have been.. so restless. In a good way. I am going through changes. Cut my hair off, plan on dying it, got some new clothes, started working out, rearranged my room, etc. Plan on getting my septum pierced soon. I've been going by Simon for like... 4 years (online). But as the idea of transitioning becomes more and more real to me, I have been feeling less drawn to the name and actually want to go with a more gender neutral name. I feel it will allow for a smoother transition for me. I may never take HRT. I want to get top surgery for sure. Heck my voice is already deep enough people on the phone at my call center call me sir anyways half the time lol I would like facial hair, but my priority is my chest.

Anyways, I am thinking Sydney. I love the name, and when I thought of it, it felt like a strong match for me. Lol no matter who calls me that, regardless of their perception of my gender, it won't make me cringe. And that is important to me. Especially if I don't go through HRT. People will make mistakes.

Also, I am thinking soon I will make a new profile here utilizing my artist name thingy SSOrcBoi. Since we don't have the ability to change our names here. Can't imagine that will ever be a capability. I will keep this account until I at least reach the same # of watchers on the new one. Not sure when I am going to do it though.

I might be getting back into making yarn tails. I thought it would be cool to make adoptable characters/eggs based on the tails I make. Might also make a raffle type thing where everyone pitches in a minimum of $1 to get a chance at a character and matching yarn tail.

I would also be making custom "collectible" raffle tickets for each raffle I do.

They will change color and have a special raffle sequence number so people will have unique tickets.
There would be a set ticket type for each raffle, but only one person is going to get say, #1-3 (if they pay $3. Each ticket will also say "RSN" with a number on it. My 1st raffle for the 1st month will be RSN001. So the ticket that person would get would be RSN001 #1, then RSN001 #2, RSN001 #3, etc.
The next month would be RSN002, so on and so forth.

Idk it sounds fun :D

I've tried to make one like... at least 3 or 4 times, never clicked with one. Usually I just have different characters that "front" depending on my mood.

I still want a sona. Some sort of representation of myself. I've recently become more open about being trans. Most people know now except my family.

So I was thinking about making a character that is post top surgery trans. He will of course have the name I go by, which is Simon (wish I could change my FA username...) and will likely be some kind of orc hybrid. Needs horns and a tail at least lol

Rather than having a back story, he will just have my life lol It's plenty interesting and full of drama -_-

So after my coworker left I had 5 weeks of job training stuff. Hated it. Hate what they "trained" us to do. 90% of the people in the class hadn't finish figuring out the 1st part of our job. So now they are even more lost! Leaving me to hold a lot of peoples hands. Yay for federal training -_-
Between that, family issues, and now it looks like I'm going to be single after an almost 7 year relationship, I've been pretty lacking in creative area. I've drawn a few things, but haven't managed to finish anything. I hate this. I have pretty much no creative spark right now. I have no desire to draw. No imagination. Just... bla.

I'll likely be having to move in a couple months. Probably be getting a little studio apartment. I have a lot of plans already for it... Ways to be eco/cost efficient. I guess you could say I am looking forward to being single. I'll have more time for me and more room to explore my gender identity. The main thing is, he wants kids. The big house, the nice car, the status. "Look at me and my nice things". I don't want kids. I want to live small and efficiently. I want to live comfortably without needing lots of money. I don't want to work my life away.

So yeah. Lot of big life changes are coming my way... Idk when I will get into the artistic spirit again. But I hope it wont be too much longer.

So... as predicted, and hopefully this isn't just a coincidence... After the departure of my annoying ass coworker, I've had a lot more.... leftover brainpower after work. Heck my productivity went up, as did the people in my cubicle row. I'd average 10 cases a day, now its about 20. I can work in silence, I can think. I can create. I can slack off and still get a lot of work done.

In fact, I have been working on a project. The biggest ref sheet I have ever done! I have been designing a new race for my world and I have really been enjoying it. I'm almost half way done with it. Got most of the male down, then I will need to do the female which is mostly figured out already. I've also got about... 5 pages written about them in a google doc so far.

Once I finish them up, I think I will try to start working on commission related things. Maybe one or two a month. Wouldn't be bad to start saving up extra for when I get laid off at the end of the work season. If I can keep up this good flow, I should be able to manage. I just have to not over do it and burn myself...

I keep meaning to make a journal about it. I've drawn very little the past couple months. Working full time, I don't have a lot of creative energy. Few sparks here and there, but mostly not enough to really produce anything. I don't have a lot of inspiration right now. I have a coworker that doesn't seem to enjoy working in silence and can't do a goddamn thing by herself so I don't get a lot of time to daydream and do concepts in my head. She is the type of person that can't figure out how to do any of her work by herself but argues with you on how to do it after she asks for help. So in the end helping her is a waste of time and energy and lowers the entire teams productivity... But thank the powers that be she SHOULD have a new job on April 16th and be gone... so I might start having more time to relax and let the ideas flow. Listen to some music, etc.

But yeah.

Seriously omg I am so tired of this lol But this time it feels real. Our work inventory is getting low. We are scheduled to have an exit meeting at the end of the week. Which is good for 30 days. Alright so found out at work Friday night that they extended my contract again. It read "1-4 months, up to December 31st, 2016" meaning unless I hear otherwise, I will be working until December 31st. If that is the case, they more than likely will not do a lay off at all, because the season picks up in January anyway.

That being said, I think i'm just going to push myself and try to do commissions on weekends, and when I get off work if I am not too warn out.

This list isn't necessarily the list I will do it in. More than likely I'll work in order of inspiration. Not sure yet. I need to get myself together and think on it. I was really expecting to be laid off. Which is still a possibility. But a shit ton of people quit, so the work load has picked back up.

Ok so the new rumor which should be confirmed later this week is that my contract has been extended to September 30th. Which is actually good because I found out the unemployment office here is ridiculous and doesn't count your most recent 4 months of employment so I wont be eligible until October. That being said, I'll be pushing commissions back until October.

However, I may consider doing the small simple ones such as single characters with no backgrounds.
