Kay so, I don't post much about troubles unless it's super important or it's on my twitter, but I figured I can keep y'all in the loop here.

At the start of the month, we had to call the police because our downstairs neighbor almost broke our door down because he hates that our floors squeak when we walk. It's an old building, the floors creak, and he decided to throw a tantrum and terrify two people just trying to live their lives. We're quiet people, we don't yell, we don't party and we've NEVER had a complaint.

Anyway.
Then Alruic and I ended up with Covid somehow, we're thinking either someone with covid prepared our food or it was a delivery driver. (We rarely eat out so this was an experience)

And while we were still dealing with covid, Alruic woke up to excrutiating pain from their gallbladder and was hospitalized, but because they had covid, they couldn't do the operation to remove it because the covid can cause resporitary distress so they have to wait till October for their surgery.

The boi's mom named their new dog after our dead cat and won't change the name cause she's stubborn and it's just heartbreaking.

THEN we got fuckin bedbugs from somewhere, either the taxi or the hospital, maybe even the unit beside us. So Come thursday we have exterminators coming and have to vacate with our cats for 6 hours and because my mates family are all selfish cunts, they won't house us so we have to kennel the cats and spend 6 hours finding something for us to do with our snake, which can chill in my purse the whole time.

Anyway, this month has been so stressful, I haven't gotten anything done, so come september we'll be back to art full time.

If anyone wants to donate since we owe $500 for bills, I have so many YCH's open, and our Kofi is on my front page.

I just want this over and done with, I'm so tired.

So Thursday Alruic woke up with severe abdominal pain which only got worse over the hours so at 4:30pm I made the decision to call an ambulance.

They took us to the hospital and after hours of waiting, poor Gray in awful pain. They thought it might be a gallbladder issue. So we were sent home with an ultrasound appointment for the next day.

So Friday morning, we get up, poor guy had trouble sleeping cause of pain, and after the hospital decided that Gray needed emergency surgery because they have gallstones. (Their family has. History of bad gallbladders)

Gray was basically forced to stay overnight at the hospital and their surgery was booked for the next day.

Lo and behold, today rolls around, we're expecting the surgery, but no, it's postponed till tomorrow now because

Apparently???

The cold we've been fighting was fucking covid??? How?? We never see anyone??? LOL iT was determined that we got it when we got pizza.

So that's where we are.
I'm so sorry that we've been quiet and that's why.
I'm gunna try to get some art done, but guys, ima be real, I'm exhausted.

Who was the first person to get you into the furry fandom? How did your sona come to be?

As a little 10 year old indigenous kid in the 90's who was a doghead way before I even used the internet, my first "Fursona" was a pure white wolf with icey blue eyes. How original, I know LOL
I had so much art of her that I did with my tiny child hands, but my brother in a fit of abusive rage, decided to tear everything up and off my walls, so there was really no saving it. I had binders of story written on lined paper about her as well which my mom threw out. Between her and my little brother, I have like, none of my old art left anymore.

Long story short, was she was shot by a hunter, and she gained the attention of a phoenix who merged with her to save her and their souls became one. (Once again, original and edgy, I was an edgelord back before it was cool. :P)

ANYWAY, that's how Maddy came to be, I started drawing her with her new markings:

The first real furry art I saw as a kid was by and
Huskie was and still is one of my art idols. I learned a lot from her art back in the day! Got many commissions from her as well <3 I always loved how fcking rad her traditional work was and I inspired to be that good one day too. Shit's been slow this past week and some because there's wildfires all around us and the smoke is bad, it's been so heckin warm and we can't have the windows open so it's just warm and muggy and stinky.

I need to start putting my eggs in another basket because this is crazy.

I've got so many recent YCH's that I think are pretty heckin rad and none of them have any interest. IDK if it's because FA is down or what, but I need to find another place to thrive.
I'm beyond upset right now, and it's not just because of the site being down, it's been like this the past few years.

Comments have been dropping etc, it's like unless you were already a well off artist here, we all kinda get swept under the rug.
Meanwhile the well off artists are like "My stuff hasn't been selling!" Yet they just sold the most basic ass adopt for $1k. That's like...my rent.
