I know I've been MIA and basically silent over here on FA for quite some time now. Life takes its toll and its time whether we're ready or not.
In short:
- husband, kitty, and I are moving internationally in the first week of July (US -> Sweden)
- kitty is starting to show signs of osteo-arthritis alongside existing kidney concerns
- we are begging please for any help anyone can give at the GoFundMe link above (will post again at the bottom)
- family planning and trying for kids currently as well

Posted 6 years agoMy last journal post was 2 years ago stating that life was getting hectic and I would be busy for a while.
Well,
That's accurate.
I was and still am very busy, but life has been much kinder to me recently.
So yes, I'm not dead. I do intend on coming back some day and being a content creator again, but I'm not ready to yet. As shitty as that sounds, it's the truth. I'm not ready yet.
Nonetheless, I treasure and miss you all. I hope you are all doing well and I will see you again soon.

Posted 8 years agoI know I've been quite around here recently, but the past two weeks or Au or have been... Very depressing to be honest. I'm going to try to stream later, but I can't really promise anything right now. To prove I'm not dead, I did a thing:
• What is the name of your fursona?
Aspen Sage
• Where did the name of your Fursona come from?
Aspen is my chosen last name and sage is my favourite spice.
• What species is your fursona and why did you choose that species?
She is a Goat because of how incredibly smashing goats are. They provide milk and cheese and yogurt and wool and compost products and can be very good companions for humans and and and.... I should stop there.
• What color is your fursona and why? Hair/fur/eye/ect
She is a very dark very, almost black, with orange markings on her arms and one of her legs and her bottom lip as well as hair that starts out orange at the roots and gets darker as it grows until it is also black. Her eyes are olive green and her horns are bone coloured. This design was originally made by a friend of mine for a Halloween skin on imvu,but I fell in love with it. She has evolved since then, but she is still loosely based on that skin.
• What is your fursona's personality and how does this compare to your RL personality?
She is much more independent than I am. She has a strong maternal instinct, much stronger than my own, and it's willing to do next to anything to keep her wards safe and healthy. She is athletic, which I am not, she is confident, which I am not always, she is productive, which I am most definitely not.
• What is one item your fursona owns that is significant to you in RL?
When I draw her so an extension of myself, she has glasses and bands on her horns. Those silver bands are symbolic of part of my religion. Being a viking I am proud of my heritage and those IC were a gift from her family when she became a warrior. I wear a hair braid with beads for the same reason.
• What is one thing you think you would say to your fursona if you could meet?
O_O "y-you're very hot...." (with lots of blushing)
• What is one thing your fursona would say to you if you could meet?
"you are the cutest little thing. Let me show you what you really want to see." followed by the two of us not coming out of the bedroom for a few days.
• How has your fursona changed over the years?
Ooooooooh yes. My first sona was a pair of twin white wolves who were raised by cats. Sonja and Mishka are still in my gallery somewhere. I lost touch with them as they applied to my perspective at that time and eventually they became OCs in their own story.
• How long have you had this fursona?
Er.... Five years now? I think the first time I looked at her and truly identified with her was 2012.

Posted 8 years agoI know I've been away, but I'm going to try to be streaming AT LEAST twice a week since I lost my job. If I can make $500 per month in art, I will be able to keep doing more art consistently and will be online more often.
I will be taking up to 10 commissions outside of streams.
Bust images are only 7$
Waist-Up images are only 10$
Full body images are only 15$
Reference sheets (which include front, back, pallet, and two expressions) are only 25$.
- For an extra 10$, you may add two outfit chibis.
I will also be taking 2 commissions for 2-3 page comics. these will be $35+ per page depending on content and characters.

My friends, I have some bad news
Posted 8 years agoIn the near future, I may be homeless.
I lost my job this past Friday and we're $300 short on rent because of it.
I don't know what we're going to do, but I wanted to post this here for you folks so nobody panics when/if I suddenly vanish.
For those of you who are waiting on a commission, I will refund you when I can but if this falls through, please feel free to vent or bash me however you feel necessary.

Posted 9 years agoI would like to offer a terrible apology to the folks who bought YCH and commissions from me within the past two days. All the work I've done since Tuesday has been lost. I have no idea what happened, but all the progress I had made on YCHs and the lines I had finished for the commissions poofed!

Posted 9 years agoWe're about 50$ short on rent, my computer is STILL dead, but we have a solution in the works, and I've been in the wheelchair THREE DAYS STRAIGHT!!!
I'll be making a video or two later this afternoon, which can be found on my youtube channel, Operaticism (link will be provided below) and I'm in such a state th at one of my 'kids' is in a tough spot that I want to kidnap him and just the him a fun weekend because he deserves it.

I have Rheumatoid Arthritis.
I cannot afford the medicine for it though, so I have in the mean time set up a "GoFundMe" page to help. I am also setting up "Backlog Commissions" for once I get my computer fixed.
Basically, you pay now and in return get a piece of more value once I can draw again. I would prefer to do these, rather than ask for your charity.

Thanks to all the wonderful people who donated and/or got art from
Goat-Kid (thank you again, Bleatsie!) I am now on medication that is helping.
Next step is seeing the specialist and starting Physical Therapy. Long term, third is going to be expensive, but at 300$ per month for PT, I'd much rather this than 11,000$ per knee for surgery.
Again, thank you to every one who had helped me get bank on my feet, literally!

Goat-Kid (thank you again, Bleatsie!) I am now on medication that is helping.Next step is seeing the specialist and starting Physical Therapy. Long term, third is going to be expensive, but at 300$ per month for PT, I'd much rather this than 11,000$ per knee for surgery.

Plans for... THE FUTURE!!!
Posted 9 years agoAdmittedly, with my computer for the count and being a new OS disk, I am kind of at a stand still in terms of making art, HOWEVER, this does not stop my grey matter from making an awful lot of noise.
As such, here are some of the ideas I would like to get eventually:
-Aspen being mama goat like
-more of my Vikings might be starting their comic soon)
-a new character who I had a long time ago, I'd like to bring her back
-more stuff from
badart and goat-kid
-more stuff with
wallabyjango and toborknottob
And some other stuff, but this is what I have so far.
Any additional ideas you lovely folks have, please feel free to comment below or note me.
