I'll be leaving to go to TFF on Tuesday as I am flying myself and it's a long trip in a little Skyhawk. Looking forward to another con and visiting an area I've never been to before.

I have confirmed and will be at both Anthrocon 2023 and Texas Furry Fiesta 2023. Anyone else going to be there that knows yet?

Ok so maybe not quite a full good bye as I'm not deleting my account but as of today I have offloaded the last real responsibility I have and am moving on. I just can deal with the toxicity of the communities and the bile heaped at me on a regular basis for petty reasons. People there have forgotten content creators are the ones who drive and quite litterally build the place. I'll be managing the transition on the community program, handing off the sims, and finishing my one last project then I am off to greener pastures. It's been fun and I have a lot of memories, most of them pretty good, but after 14+ years it is long past time I take my bow.

Ok so not so slight a bump. I have an electric kick scooter kind of like the ride share ones but with more umph to it. I use it around town when I don't need to carry much as it is cheaper and easier than driving my truck (especially when going downtown). The other day I was ridding back from lunch at about 25 MPH rounding a bend in the road when I hit a damp patch of fresh asphalt and the thing went out from under me. Thankfully had a helmet on but still busted myself up enough to have to get my upper lip stitched back together. So I spent most of the last week unwilling to speak if I could help it and nursing a bottle of Advil. Now the scooter is more or less intact but As this is the second time I've had an accident (and by far the worse of the two) I think I'm done riding it... or sort of. I'm considering breaking it down for parts as the manufacturer is now defunct and it needs a new battery anyways and have been designing a better scooter that I've been considering building. I guess just because I'm that kind of idiot, but anyways kind of curious if people here might be interested in it all if/when I do it, maybe even look at manufacturing some? I don't know, just something grinding in my head while I'm walking off the vaccine sickness I guess.

Many of you already know about the forced landing I had to make on the fifth. I've posted some of the photos here just to share with people. Long story short I had a cylinder catastrophically fail in flight. I was cruising at four thousand feet when I had a sudden simultaneous bang and thud and the engine began running roughly. Luckily I was six miles from an airport I was familiar with so was able to divert and make an emergency landing. In the few minutes it took me, traveling at over 100 mph to cross the distance to the airport I burned or dumped all six quarts of oil in the engine. An observer on the ground told me I was leaving a "rather impressive smoke trail" as I cam in. The engine stopped producing power just as I managed to touch down and I pushed the plane off the runway. I was lucky where and when it went and that I was able to get the few minutes I needed to make it safely to an airport. For any other pilots or aspiring pilots who may read this, take this lesson away: Always have a plan of action, and be sure there is always a back up till you are committed. Truth is I planned for making the airport but committed to landing on the near by highway, thankfully didn't have to make that leap even if I wasn't making my actual destination. I also now understand when pilots say you are too busy to panic till just before you get to the ground. You really are too focused on everything around you till that point when there just isn't anything left to be done. Anyways, I also have the ATC recording kindly clipped together by a friend and can post that link if people are interested.

So the mission has been pushed back/canceled twice. Seems the manufacturer can't get things sorted to produce the face shields. Last cancellation came the evening of the day before we were supposed to go.

So with all the crazy going on I guess I should keep people informed. I am fine, unemployed but fine. Seems my timing for my break from work was poorly timed so I've not really worked since January. Thankfully I seem to be secure financially for now. The family business is now closed as operating costs were more than we could bring in with everything going on and my other business is on hold. I've been back at SL again scripting and building. If you haven't been by Jadu in a while stop by and check the progress. Super Cub 2.0 dropped last month and other projects, including the Orka, are proceeding now. Have made plans to be at AC this year but I am not holding my breath that that will still happen but at least I can move my fees to next year if I do. Though with my luck something else will happen to stop me from being able to go next year too. Flight wise I finally completed my instrument certification and I signed up with Aerobridge to volunteer support for the on going disaster while I am sitting cooped up like the best of us at home. Anyways all of y'all be well and stay safe in this crazy time.

So recently finished my instrument rating and thought since I'm basically out of a job for the time being (we closed business maybe we will open after all this headache who knows) I could do myself and the world some good and maybe volunteer flying time for a bit. Can you believe how damn hard it is to find charities looking for pilots???? The website everything sends you too only half works even. Guess I'll call the state tomorrow and see if there are any groups moving supplies or anything that could use a small plane and pilot.

So I know a lot of y'all out there don't really care or do anything in Second Life let alone fly in it but I am sick of the aviation community at last. Today I threw in the towel and I'm done with the spoiled entitled children. I spend hours and hours working on a project grinding out details and scripts and only charging less than you might pay for a damned coffee at starbucks. And all i hear is complaints, demands for refunds (for something i can't get returned mind you), and other general bullshit. I'm sorry the combat plane you bought doesn't fly like a beached whale with freebie scripts. I'm sorry you want a jet taht flies like a Cessna 172. I'm sorry I can't be XYZ creator. Fuck it I'm just going to do my own shit and people can cry because i won't let them have it anymore.

So thanks to a drive failure my PC is dead in the water AGAIN but at least between starting my IFR training and work hours increasing I'm not bored

yeah that's pretty much it....

Guess i should have posted this sooner, but I got my pc up and running and am now just catching up. Thanks all of you who offered support or did lend a hand it has been hugely appreciated. I'll have somre more stuff going soon as i'm done catching up on everything i've been behind on.

So I appear to be SOL lately. Everytime I seem to be getting going again I've been kicked again. This time, after coming frreash from my back issues (some of you know), my PC has kicked the bucket. I'm scrambling to raise funds via Second Life to buy parts for a new one. I've got a good chunk already as I had planned ahead for this eventuality given some of the warning signs I was rrecieving. Unfortunately the last project that may have pushed me through to my goal I am currently unable to complete. Now I'm not one to care much for hand outs so I'm not asking anyone to give me money here. Instead if you haven't already please take the time to browse my wares on SL or send your friends to. I'd appreaciate the support and every tinny bit helps towards getting me going again. Not to mention my buisness helps support others around SL, some who depend on the income for rent in real life and even the airport and estate that I run around the contested waters. Anyways i know these journals don't get read offten so thanks to those who took the time to read this one.

Anyways until I'm back to modeling I have the story i've been slowly working on going via my tablet. For any who like scifi i'd apreaciate the feed back and as always pardon my horrid spelling.

Ok ok I admit it I broke down and listed myself on a few dating sites...anyways long story short I'm a straight male and have been poking around these sites for I'd estimate at least a year and a half. As of today I've succeeded in finding a girlfriend for my ex-roommate and today received the first request for someone wanting to start a relationship of any kind. Figures that someone would end up being a gay male..... -.-

Anyone here have downloaded my old "Field of Dreams" story? I've lost all my save files of it it seems and am desperately trying to dig up one.

So I started doing some texture work (or at least started trying to learn) and all of a sudden CS6 started telling me i couldn't open my 3d files because OpenGL was disabled. I've tried the troubleshoot on the Adobe website and I've tried a fresh install but nothing seems to work. I'm running Windows 7 with an ATI Radeon mobile 5850 HD and 8 gigs of ram. All the requirements meet it just refuses to work. Please anyone have any ideas? :/

The Skyraider is taking longer than I would prefer but it's getting there and I'm over the majority of the hard stuff and then I can stop flooding FA with all my WIP pictures until I start a new project. And here I always thought North Carolina was a progressive state... I've got a few comments to make on this one but going to wait till I can put them in a better format other than a general spilling of words in a rant. Suffice it to say, it's bullshit, illegal for multiple reasons, and I voted against it as the straight Christian male I really am. For those who will say it please don't just blame Christianity, but instead blame its perversion. I follow the teachings of a man who walked and preached tolerance and understanding it's just a shame that my fellow Christians don't try and read the book they preach. For as the lord himself told us, Condemn not one's fellow man for that right is reserved for only God himself. God bless them for it is the misguided, and poorly educated extremist who need it the most.
