!! Important Status Update !!
Posted 2 years agoHello, it's been a while and I wanted to let y'all know what's been going on and get some stuff off my chest. Some things good and some things bad. As most of you have probably noticed, I haven't uploaded anything for a long while and there's a few reasons for that.
Firstly and most importantly, I moved all the way across the United States at the beginning of the month. That was very time consuming, draining, and demotivating. I've been in my new place for about 3 weeks now and although everything is unpacked, it doesn't quite feel like home to me. The move has had a varying effect on me mentally but I'd say that it's largely been negative. I usually have a positive mentality about things so I'm sure it'll turn out fine in the end.
Secondly, and unfortunately, I've grown to loath the decision to open requests. Now I want to make it clear immediately that this has almost nothing to do with any of you, I quite like interacting and hear from y'all :) , but everything to do with me. When I first started posting on the internet it was as a fun little hobby of sorts, but because of requests it's felt like more of a chore. It's been enjoyable to see what I could make for people and I am glad that I was able to do as many as I did, but I've come to the conclusion that I don't feel happy when doing them any longer. I completely understand if this is really annoying or disappointing to hear and I know that I've prefaced every request with the phrase "no guarantees", but the backlog of requests and my busy life have really made it difficult for me to motivate myself to do pics that I have no attachment to.
So, going forward I'm going to stop taking requests and indefinitely pause the unfinished ones I have already received. I'd like to apologize to anyone that I may have disappointed, I understand if you feel like I've wasted your time. The fear of letting people down has actually prevented me from uploading a few new pics that I've made but I will likely upload them before the month is out as I intended them to be halloween pics.
I'd like to go back to occasionally uploading when I feel the urge, like it was before I opened requests. I have some ideas that I want to work on so hopefully you'll stick around to see what those are. Thanks for reading my rant, hope to see ya soon. Goodnight :)
