-WARNING- LONG RANT and Explanations
Posted 9 years ago So, a few months back nearing the turn of the year I stated I was going to stop doing art, I am making this to explain that I was in a depressed state of mind when I made that decision because of how I felt from Home-Con with little to no viewers. When I made that journal post I wanted to see how many people really cared if I was to quit or not, out of 270 watchers at the time only 8 people replied and not one said "don't stop doing art" my heart sank, so I continued with the mindset of quitting art...
Over time talking to those over Skype (you know who you are) and a recent poll I took, people wanted me to take a break from commissions, but not to stop doing/posting art. I honestly can't understand how 14 or so votes were there but not one comment mentioned in my previous journal when I said I was quitting. So, I was confused as to what I should do, I have a furry convention in June called Califur I plan to have some images and other ideas ready for it, if I do well I will continue doing art if not I can keep doing art that seems to get me nowhere or look for work and drop doing art at all.
This is the crossroads that I am at with choices in my life, I am getting older and don't really have that bright of a future with the current path I am on. Commissions get me by and as you all my notice my workload is actually slowly going down, the reason my workload is slow is because it's mostly dealing with real life, my family mainly, not having a job or place of my own I cannot do art on a timely schedule this also hurts my productivity and creativity in making things that might interest you guys.
I have thought about Patreon and the likes but everyone I know of on here that watch me are not really 'that' into it the idea I also came up with seemed to not fly to most of you, so that thought quickly left as it came. My comic ideas also seemed to not be very catching to be supported, my "Utovia Darkness" concept seemed to be 'meh' or "get some comics down first" to see interest. I am not against making some comics to show the idea, but from my previous journals it felt like there wasn't much enthusiasm to try it.
So, as you can see how I feel like I can't really do anything because I feel people are disinterested in what I do and create and if I cannot get interest and work for you guys then I can't keep living this way, if I had a job it would be a different story but no I gotta try n get a commission, I have to ask/beg friends people I got to know, you know how bad I feel doing that? (Answer: I feel like dirt.)
I recently teamed up with
except23 / 
theboundraccoon because they believe we would do well, I am to color their lines in live streams on picarto, I color pretty well and relatively quickly, this team-up seems like it could do 'ok' for the time being, but I can say it's not going to be a job but I hope for the best from this team-up even though this week was kind of crappy for us.
I am doing some art still even if they will mostly be for me, I still come to believing it would be best to just quit posting art online other than color work from streams or what I owe but I am leaving all that up to the con I will be attending with a fellow RL artist friend of mine
shalie . She has not been really active on here due to being at so many cons a year, I am hoping to learn a thing or two from her.
I will be using a new website soon called RedTigerStudio.com this will be a personal site for myself, I will no longer be using bakaneko-studios.com and the name here on FA will be deactivated and it's contents will be deleted.
So, there it is. If there are any questions leave them in this journal and I will get to them eventually.

The choices I picked are : Mojorover suggested Tammy and River dressed in police uniforms and then Coyote42 suggested my red panda doing nude yoga.
But some other runner up ideas that I do like are
Yelleena and 
MrDuhast with River in a cooking apron and StringPetounPing with Xil could be claw dancing in a night club under the black lights
The runner up ideas I may do if the ones I chose goes well, however I am still accepting more suggestions so write some more down below in this journal, catch ya next time!

I am doing a 'Last Call" to those that wanted a chance to get something before I shut myself down, I will be accepting ideas that I think I can do, so if you would like something send me a note or comment on this journal.
I am only accepting ideas from now till February 7th! I will be no longer be accepting 'Last Call' commissions after that date! My prices are also cut down from my normal prices!
All accepted 'Last Call' commissions will be placed below! Do understand the backlog is going to be done in tandum and it may takea while to get to your commission!

To all who watch me and have supported me!
Posted 9 years ago I want to begin with a thank you, I wouldn't have have met so many cool people, it's been great. I am no longer accepting commissions or commission ideas. I have been deeply thinking about art and where I have gone with it and where it has lead me in the past few years in, I have progressed pretty well, not great, but well. I couldn't of done that without the support from you guys.
But, I have a lack in watchers to make art something sustainable on the few who do commission me, it's hard with the economy the way it is and it's understandable, not everyone can get something whenever, art was something I was trying to make more than just a hobby because I(still am) lacking an actual job. I know that I am not the fastest artist, ideas come and go, over the years it's been hard to capture that inspirational fire to keep going with doing art as some sort of trade. It's also very hard on me to come to you guys asking almost like begging for some sort of work, my journals barely get a few comments even when I had posted that I was looking for commission work.
Now don't get me wrong, I am not exactly complaining about how i am not getting commission work, the work I have gotten from some of you has help me out in tough times, but it's not enough to make any sort of living from. I find doing art just isn't worth it unless I have more backing. I tried to venture other ideas, but they didn't get much interest, my recent comic idea didn't really get much interest either from the ones that I speak to on almost a daily basis.
The support I need just isn't there, I questioned my work and compared to other artists trying to figure what it is that I gotta do to get more interest or watchers? Many things/thoughts crossed my mind till I was just.. trying too hard. My prices are lower than most artists and it shouldn't be that way either. I always tried keeping a low price for you guys. Art to me right now just isn't going to get me anywhere with my life.
In short from the above I am no longer doing commissions, I am going to make a list of what I owe people at the bottom of this journal, once I have completed everything that is listed, my FA account will just be a ghost gallery.

Back in the year of 07-08 I was starting my life as a hobby artist drawing traditionally and starting to work on my Deviantart account, I made a few online friends not many at the time, but one of them was an artist named Jasen Tamiia
jasentamiia can find his work here. This journal is just a memory lane kind of deal for me because I wasn't into the whole furry fandom but his character was one of the few I drew that eventually got me into being here on FA.
Hearing that he past away on the turn of the year is a bit of a shocker to me, I didn't know him all that well since back then, but still losing someone that is part of my evolution in being here and doing what I do it still hurts quite a bit, I will be trying to look for the few images I have that I did for a kiriban he held and another image I was just having fun with.
So, in closing words, he was an interesting person, someone that had pointed me in the direction of FA and he is one of the few that without them I may of not been here on FA. Jasen you will be missed!

I hope everyone is having a great month sharing/spending time with family and friends, sorry I have not been around to do much I have been busy with some brainstorming, but I have also fallen into a art slump, like an art block but just not feeling it to produce. I am trying to get out of it and am sinking myself into some gaming and self analyzing like I usually do.
Wanted to let you guys know I am not dead or anything just am sort of keeping to myself.

To those who have me on Skype, I am cleaning my contacts list and am removing ones who have not really chat with me in 8+ months or so. In the coming weeks I will be making it a point to clean my owed list, I will not be accepting any more commissions or ideas thru this period of time, I hope to clear it by the end of this month, however December will be the last month I will be open for anything, so if there is something you wanted me to make it will have to be within then. I may or may not accept ideas within the last month of the year.
Why this sudden change? I am putting myself fully into my comic idea and staying to it I will be drawing for myself and MY story that I want to tell. I will still occasionally do a YCH or two but that will be about all I will put out.
I know I have a lot I owe and I will be keeping to myself in the coming days ahead, please don't feel alarmed just need my focus and time to myself.

Again thank you for those that attended my Home Con, I had 3 successful traditional pieces done, I wish I was a little better at it some areas could of been better but, thank you for your support! This helps me with getting better for when attend a future con next year.
Congratulations to JrCarter for the random drawing I had for my stream, he got a traditional adoptable I had crated before streaming, he and one other were the only combatants for the ref. I do hope you treat her well! =D she turned out cute.

Today I got my light box and I can now make clean lines off the custom adoptable ref sheets I have for my stream for home Con. What does that mean? Well, I have made 3 different adoptable ref sheets special for each day of my stream, these ref's have a 3/4's front and back and a little extra on the side. One for each day? what does this mean? Well, there is a drawing/raffle at the end of each stream session (around 9-10pm my time) for the ref sheets, how can you enter into this drawing/raffle?
1st: You must be in my stream
2nd: You must have a FA account (for those who are on tigerdile)
3rd: You must buy something from me during Home Con
4th: Enjoy the stream or head off and wait for an FA note about your possible win
The traditional adoptable sheets will be scanned and shown on FA for the day of the con and a winner will be listed in it's description. If you want the image shipped to you there will be a shipping cost that you will have to pay. If not you will get the digital scan full res version signed by me and will have your FA name placed.

The name of my upcoming web comic is called 'Eutovia Darkness' it will be another earth like world that has Humans and Furry characters.
Humans are just humans, but anthros are known Diagrits
Comic History:
Historically Diagrits and Humans have been at war for a long time, before the war they had used each other as slaves, both drumming up the courage to fight for their kind. Their clash would be endless until the darkness came. Dark-evil, hideous monsters now ravaging towns and cities around the world, Diagrits and Humans looked to each other in a losing battle from the enveloping dark mist, it was then they decided to put their differences aside and work together against this new dark foe, but not everyone likes the idea of working with the other race, even if being attacked by a this new enemy they would rather die than to be in the same room.
Ten years later Humans and Diagrits were able to create Battle Frames, these suits are equipped to handle the dark mists evil spawns as well as new technology to create energy pulsers to keep it the mist from enveloping their world even more. These Battle Frames are armed with special weaponry attuned to the wearer and their profession.
Battle Frames are a outer suit of light to heavy armor that enhances the wearers combat effectiveness.
Starting Characters:
Zaine Einder - Male Human - Group leader of the Cerberus Mercenaries.
Tammy - Female Diagritz (Bunny) - Field Combat Medic.
Jack Emmits - Male Human - Soldier.
Ashley Maresk - Female Human - Communications and Coordinator.
Jake Armek - Male Human - maintenance of the facility and Battle Frame repairs
Amanda Armek - Female Diagrits - maintenance of the facility and Battle Frame repairs
So, with the above mentioned I will be producing work that is related to Eutovia Darkness and I hope this may interest some of you out there.
