Further Confusion 2018
Posted 8 years agoFurther Confusion 2018 is on! The otter and I just registered. We’ll be staying in the Marriott for the weekend.
I hope to see lots of you fuzzy animals there!
This will be my first FC since 2013, I think. I have fond memories of this con, though, since, in the raffle, I won my first fursuit head!

I’m a California Wuff Now!
Posted 8 years agoIt’s official! I’m a California wuff!
I just moved to the Bay Area, bringing along my wonderful and beautiful otter mate
moana!
I made the move to take a new and fantastic job! I’ll miss my friends from Kanas and
kcfur, but it was time for a change.
I’m not a stranger to the Bay Area. I’ve been coming out here for work for years. I’ve made many friends already among the furs here. I look forward to meeting even more, and becoming a member of the local community!

Anthrocon 2015
Posted 10 years agoAnthrocon is just a few days away! I’ll be there Thursday through Monday, staying in the main hotel.
This will be my first Anthrocon! Gonna be a fun time!
If you’ll be going, too, give me a shout. I’m always looking to meet friends, new and old!
Also, check out my two new badges, one an awesome viking badge by the local artist
embriel. The other is another fantastic badge by
marymouse. I love ‘em!

2015 Convention Plans
Posted 10 years agoLooks like four conventions this year for this wuff.
Califur is a new convention for me. It just happens to coincide with a work trip, so, sure, why not!
Anthrocon will be a new convention for me, too. Gotta go to the furry Mecca at least once!
Rocky Mountain Fur Con again this year. This is a wonderful smaller con, and Denver is a fun place. Hopefully there will be fewer flat tires this year. grumbles
And Midwest FurFest closes out the year. I love this convention. It was my first furry convention two years ago, and it is always wonderful!

Midwest FurFest 2014
Posted 11 years agoI’m going to Midwest FurFest 2014! This will be my first convention with a fursuit, so it ought to be extra special! Here are the details:
Days staying:
Arriving Thursday, late afternoon probably.
Leaving Monday, not sure what time.
Staying at:
The main hotel, the Hyatt Regency O’Hare.
How are you traveling?
By car. I hope the weather is nice! We’ll be stopping Wednesday night to stay with friends.
Who are you rooming with?
moana
Who will you be with?
There is a decent crowd from the Kansas City area, but I want to see everybody! That’s the point of a con, right?
Where will you be?
I’ll be prioritizing the fursuiting activities, since those will be new to me. Otherwise, I’ll be wandering around. I like shopping in the Den, checking out the art, even going to panels! I’ve been told I can’t miss “Quitting the Fandom” this year. And, of course the dances!
What is the best way to find you?
Feel free to text or call if you have my number. Otherwise, Twitter. I have notifications turned on and check reasonably frequently.
What do you look like?
You can see a picture of my fursuit on my FA. I don’t generally post pictures of my non-furry self. If we’re trying to find each other, I won’t mind sharing a selfie. If I’m not wearing my fursuit, I’ll probably be carrying a camera.
What is your gender?
Male
How old are you?
Yes, my muzzle is grey! I’m 45, but still a kid at heart!
Are you mated/in a relationship?
I just have good friends at the moment.
How tall are you?
5’ 11”
Can I talk to you?
Absolutely! Please do! Meeting people, new and old, is why I go to these things! I don’t mind talking in suit, either, at cons.
Can I hug and/or snuggle you?
Sure! I especially like the fuzzy kinds, but all are welcome!
Are you nice?
Of course!
Are you cliquey?
Nope, not at all.
Are you fursuiting?
*squee* Yes! This is my first con where I can say that!
Which suit(s) will you be bringing?
Sketchy, a brown/black/white/grey wolf.
Can I try on your suit?
But, but, I just got it… *curls around it, protectively*
If I see you, how should I get your attention?
Just yell “Sketchy” or “Sketch”.
Stage performance?
Nope
Can I draw in your sketchbook?
*hangs head in shame* I don’t even have one. And with this name…
Can we hang out?
Sure!
Where will you be eating?
I don’t know. I’m sure there will be at least one pizza run. And probably a breakfast at the hotel. Normally I like to eat at nice places, but cons are all about the people. I’ll eat wherever the group is going.
Can I come to dinner with you?
Just ask! I like eating with groups!
Can I buy breakfast, lunch, or dinner sometime?
Aww, you don’t have to do that.
Can I ask ya to dance with me during the dances?
You better! Although, *sighs* I’m a terrible dancer. Be prepared to have your paw stepped on!
Can I buy you drinks?
Sure! I’m a well-caffeinated wolf. Coffee, tea, soda. I like beer and most spirits, too!
Do you attend parties?
Sometimes, when people invite me. And sometimes when they don’t. (Sorry, sorry, I misunderstood your tweet that one time. It was nice meeting you all, though!)
May I kidnap you to my room?
You better hurry; I might kidnap you first!
Attending any events?
Mostly the fursuiting ones this year. And the dances.
What’s your goal(s) for the con this year?
Meeting people, fursuiting, having a blast! Also, having enough alcohol in the room so that I don’t have to hike to that stupid liquor store in the freezing wind again!

First time fursuiting
Posted 11 years agoLast weekend I travelled to San Francisco, went to a lot of furry events, picked up my first fursuit, and went fursuiting for the first time ever!
Friday night was the opening of an art exhibition (Furries & Despair) in downtown San Francisco. (http://www.canessa.org) Eighteen suiters at a small venue, mixing with the art show crowd, wow. And a large group of us walked about a mile to and from the gallery through the downtown streets. I've never seen so much love for furries from random strangers! So many photos! So many smiling faces!
Saturday afternoon was Wild Things (http://dogpatchpress.wordpress.com/.....4/wild-things/), a kinky furry party at The Citadel, a San Francisco BDSM club. I'd say more about it, but, you know, can't talk. I will say, though, that sparkledogs look adorable in little kennel-cages!
And then Saturday night was the main event. Frolic (http://frolicparty.com). I showed up early and wandered around unsuited, meeting new people, chatting, and listening to the fantastic DJs. Then I got the text I was waiting for! The wonderful
whiteyfawks was here with my FIRST EVER FURSUIT! I eagerly grabbed it from his motorcycle and ran across the street to my hotel room to change.
Wow. Fursuiting turned out to be even more fun than I imagined it to be! I love the reaction of others when they see a suit. Walking over to Frolic suited, and back to the hotel and the end of the night, I was stopped by people wanting to take pictures!
At Frolic, I danced, I partied, I hugged EVERYBODY. Oh! I had SO MUCH fun!
Thanks to all the people who helped make it one of my best weekends ever. I finally got to meet
zarafa and chat. He's every bit as nice as his suit is cute! Thanks to
boilerroo for letting us invade her apartment for the art crawl Friday. And special thanks to
palominopony for being my Virgil for the weekend. As always, I forgot ten times as many names as I remember!
Now that I've had a taste of suiting, I can't wait for Midwest Fur Fest right around the corner, and another opportunity to get out and show my fur!
