So I've not been spending all that much time on here, mostly because my time's being sapped by work and day-to-day life, But also due to one of my new hobbies... Conventions.

Yeah I recently got quite involved in conventions. I'm up to 2 this year with a 3rd planned for this month (MCM Comicon London if anyone's down there :P ). I've got a total of two costumes done with a planned 3rd for early next year.

I've had soo much fun running around as Joseph Jostar (old version) from Jojo's Bizarre Adventures: Stardust Crusaders and chatting to people about the anime. I creeped a few people out at ALCon 2014 (UK guys) with a Chaser John Doe from Yumekui Merry (Dream Eater Merry), my first scratch-built outfit. Between the white hockey mask, the saw-toothed guillotine/sword and the tattered red cloak I've had a blast making and wearing this one. I'll post some pics up of John so you can have a look ^-^
And my last one is to make Wargreymon X-Antibody. This is going to be my first adventure into EVA foam armor and I'm seriously looking forward to making it (and the new Digimon series in February!!). I've even got plans to "update" skippy a little and maybe get a suit of him made for Confuzzled this year.

So I just figured its been 3 months since I last posted a journal and 8 since I last did art :(
Wow, I just have no time for the things I like anymore...

So I've been busy with work and stuff and keep forgetting about my past life as an internet equivalent of a couch potato :P
But When i logged in this past week all I find in my journals is "Art Trades for £x.xx" or "Iron artist commissions" or "Your character here" or "need money for <insert random item> that's failed in my life" or "Need commissions to pay my way into xxxx con".

Seriously, when did FA become a business tool for underpaid artists and students? Even worse, when did this become a way of life for some of these people to stay afloat in the outside world?

I do wonder about people sometimes... ¬_¬

So yeah, didn't realise its been nearly 2 months since I last updated this place :p

So what's happened then? Well I've been busy with work, got re-elected as Secretary for the club, painted some of my new Tau figures and my GF left me (don't worry though, we're still close friends ^-^ ).

I've got a couple of pics in the works to get cleared and many plans *insert evil laugh* :D

Spent last weekend down in Sunderland for the anime convention they had there.
Such wonderful weather they had there, grey skies, green roaring sea and the freezing gale blowing in every direction.

But enough about the weather. Weekend was awesome, got to meet Sunny Strait (Voice actor for Krillin in DBZ), mess about with the yu-gi-oh stall (FREE STUFF!!) and Drool over the wall of Gundam models one stall had.

Of course best of all, I got to hang out with my girlfriend Sam, and Miku and their friend Ashley and have a great time fuzzing up the place xD

Been a while since I've updated this place. Been kinda busy these past few months.

End of last year saw me finding a girlfriend and she's been time well spent away from my keyboard :D
I haven't really had much time for artwork, between club stuff and travelling around a fair bit to friends houses etc and games. So not really much in the way of artwork to show, though there are one or two pic's I have in the works.

But the important part that will eat up my time from now on is I CAN HAZ JURB!!!

Been a while since I updated my journals (yeah I know, I'm bad at it), so Here's an update.



Yup that's pretty much everything. World of War-crack has pandas and now my time has dwindle away to the other side of the screen (ther were other things, but WoW seems the bigger percentage :P )
Though that hasn't stopped me doodling. Got some plans to do panda pics now. Not quite sure where it came from though? ^-^

God damned week of no internet makes Skippy a ******* ******!

So yeah, Sunday I wake up to find all of the clocks in the house flashing and all of the sky/free-view boxes turned off. Sure fire indicators that something has been dicking around with our power supply.

And sure enough, turns out we had a power surge/spike.

So not thinking anything of it, I reset all the clocks and head out to my gaming club. only to get back late and find the broadband is playing up. We try allsorts. Even going into the firmware and messing with the settings, nothing.
So we phone up Sky tech support and they do line checks etc and say "We'll phone you back in 48 hours". That was sunday...

Wednesday rolls around and still nothing. My dad's borrowed a Modem/Router from a friend to check the connection and failed. Still blaming the phone line we call up sky. they say they need some more time.

Thursday. We get bak in touch with them and they say there's nothing more they can do over the phone, their sending out an engineer... on MONDAY!
MF MONDAY?! I'm livid at this point. after pacing my room for 20mins I decide to grab all my tech gear and re-check the boxes. Ours still refuses to work but I managed to get a signal through on the spare. Turns out it is our box after all. So with another call to sky We have to buy a New Router (which will be delivered Saturday) and manage to call off the engineer (who would have charged us for wasting time (thats what they call hardware faults).

Tl;dr Our Modem/Router is fucked, We're getting a new one Saturday and we're on a borrowed spare till then.
Skippy is not a happy kitty (╯°□°)╯︵ ┻━┻

In other news I hit 3000 page views during my downtime and finished off that avengers commission I've been working on for the past few months ^-^

Gah, work's been going sooo slow this past few weeks. Had a job interview last Thursday and running around doing work courses is leaving me wiped >.<

So I've been racking my brain trying to come up with a back story to my latest Pathfinder* Character (*Dungeons and Dragons, for those without a clue). My character is a Catfolk Rogue. HE is a 6ft anthro-feline (their racial design not mine, I'm just using it :P ). Not quite sure on which breed of feline though. But since it only effects appearance not really fussed. Apparently Catfolk are intelligent yet live a kind of tribal/clan life. That isn't to say they can't leave and live like regular humanoids, just part of who they are.

Anyway. So what I'm gonna do is have a laugh with it. I can't come up with a solid reason why a six foot tall cat who happens to be a knife master archetype rogue and generally quick with his hands/feet (lots of concealed knives :P) is in a research group investigating a desert island (the island later gets raided by pirates and a zombie plague wreaks havoc if you need more info).

So I want ideas and suggestions from you guys.

Anyone can post I wanna hear what people think.
Funny, serious, morbid. Lets create a history for the guy.
... and maybe a name xD

In a bit of a downer today, I just wiped my PC. It'd gotten a virus a couple of weeks back and that did a number on quite a few files. Win-XP wasn't the same afterwards. It became slow, memory heavy and crashed my Warcraft every 2 hours.

So I deleted it and installed Win7.

Now, am I the only one who feels guilty about wiping out a computer's memories and starting again?
Maybe I've been too heavy into anime/manga/sci-fi, but you get kinda attached to your computer don't you?
I mean you name it (windows ask you to), you look after it, play games with it and all that...


...Ah well. Here's a song to go out on.

Well seeing as Chinese new year was just a few weeks back I've been having a blast.

Looked into the whole Chinese zodiac/calender thing and turns out this is probably going to be my best year for a while. But the strangest part is, I've known that for like 3 years without even doing the research. Just something about this year appeals. Not sure why :P

Past week has been a blast though. Partying in town on Sunday and Tuesday with good friends. Skyping and chatting with friends till late (managed to catch up with a lost friend recently too). Even got seriously into SAI and I'm still blazing a trail though that.

Yeah been ranting for months now that my graphics tablet is crap and wanted a new one. Turns out what the bastard needed were a new set of drivers that don't exist. One Google later and I found a set that cover it. Turns out the ones packaged with it and all its updates don't go beyond 3.08. and you need 3.10 or higher to unlock the pressure sensor >.<

I know its an awesome tune and all, but I kinda like sleeping and I can't do that with this in my head 24/7 :P

Also, Picked up a trial copy of Manga Studio: Debut 4.0 and seem to be doing all right with it so far. Its kinda like a drawing program and a comic publisher all in one but with all the pen styles and screen tones you would ever need for artingz.

Anyhoo. Expect some digi-drawings in the next month or so :P

Anyhoo, my hand healed up fine in a week or so and I got myself a new 11 button gaming mouse to ease the strain (seriously this thing is twice the size of my old mouse. My old one was weird small, like, woman's sizes small :P ).

Got back into drawing, a few nifty sketches (all done on the back of printed paper :S ) so I'll have something to show when I get round to scanning.

Gah this past month has been hella depressing. I mean seriously. Everyone's shot off to fek knows where on their holidays meaning I'm left with only half my usual crew. I mean good on them having the resources to go and I wouldn't stop them even for hell. but still...

Had no place to go, nothing to do, and no cash to play with I've so been stuck on the sofa, or on my PC. and to cap it off I think i've bruised some ligaments or muscles in my arm (too much PC use or furious wanking :P ).

Oh summer how I hella hate thee...
