Recently I've been getting into sewing and embroidery. I've even picked up a computer controlled embroidery machine and I'd like to start doing commissions with it. If anyone would like to turn some artwork into embroidery let me know. The maximum dimensions I can do is 10 cm by 10 cm (about 4 inches by 4 inches) so it's pretty well suited for doing badges.

I'd like to get some more examples posted there so I've decided to offer a special to the first few customers that mention this journal. I would normally charge $20 to make the design since it takes a few hours of work and then $20 per embroidered badge or patch. Right now though I'm willing to waive the $20 design making fee if you order at least two embroidered items or reduce the design fee to only $10 if you order a single item. The only additional condition is that I get permission to post pictures and make an additional copy for myself to use a physical example.

I'm currently experiencing a temporary time between jobs, or rather I'm unemployed. I've been using my free time to learn a game development library for the android OS platform and I think I'm about ready to start making an actual game. The problem is I really don't have a great idea for a smart phone game. Has anyone here ever had one? or just an idea for a smart phone app in general?

I'm looking to do something not too complicated for a first projects, so no 3D graphics. I'm looking to create something I can sell and split the profits with any designers and artists that contribute to the project. If you have an idea let me know, but be warned I'm only interested in something I think will sell since I need to make money.

Just packaged up a new release of the open canvas replacement I've been working on. I've even got a basic windows installer for it available here:

It still has some bugs and not all features are implemented yet, but I figure I can show what I've got so far if anyone wants to check it out.

The source runs fine under Linux and I should be able to make it run under OSX, I just don't have a Mac to make an installer with.

As some of you may know, in the legal sense zippiner and I are already married, but we've yet to have an actual ceremony. We've planned a ceremony for May 26th of this year in Hawaii. The invitations should go out in the next few days as soon as we get the list of addresses from family. Would anyone who reads this and knows us well be interested in attending? I'm working on a network drawing program to replace OC 1.1. I've got a preliminary version ready for others to look at. It's rough but at this point I need feedback to figure out how to polish it off. I also need people to find bugs so I can fix them. I don't really consider it ready for public distribution yet because there isn't really a help system or installer and some of the buttons don't work yet. If anyone is interested in helping me test it out just contact (over PM or instant messenger) and I'll give you the link and tell you how to get started. I'd really like someone with a few friends that could help test the network capability of it. Feedback on using it without network capability is also good though, if it's not worth using off line then I don't consider it good enough to use for network sessions.

I'm going to be at FC this year. I'll be arriving Wednesday (the 23rd) and leaving Sunday (the 27th).

Just to give a heads up, I'm going to be more paranoid about germs than usual this year. It would be a bad time to get sick due to some recent medical stuff that need not concern anyone while I'm there.
