Please fix the literature FA!
Posted a month agoLiterature used to fine reading on Mobile, but now when you read it a lot of text can get cut off at the side which means you properly want to read someone's story then you have switch into desktop mode just to read it without the text getting cut off it's kind of annoying.
Absolutely pointless
Posted 3 months agoSo, the new law in the UK is in effect, so far I haven't noticed any major changes. I mean maybe in the coming weeks, things will become more noticeable but so far no major changes.
This might be goodbye
Posted 3 months agoDue to certain a law in the UK I will be losing access to some sites and I may lose the ability even to access FA so if stop posting you'll know why. I really wish this wasn't happening it's incredibly frustrating and scary.
Another year older
Posted 4 months agoWell I'm officially 35 today. I think I've hit the point in my life where my birthday is just another day now. The joy of it had to wear off eventually, but I'm still hoping for a good day today.
Switch 2 Electric Boogaloo!
Posted 7 months agoI wanna Play Mario Kart World RIGHT NOW!!! It looks soo good and the costumes look amazing and I love the fact you can drive as a cow! How many characters are in this game? And the fact you you have to drive across the map to next race sounds fun. It kind of reminds me of Diddy Kong Racing like how you drive around the hub world.
Then Donkey Kong Odyssey... I mean it looks kinda like Mario Odyssey which is why I call it Donkey Kong Odyssey. I think it's going to be a bit weird getting used to DK's redesign which is based of the movie design which is based of the arcade design. It looks really fun. Best part is the switch 2 come out like month before my birthday.

Happy Bearthday Ben Bigger
Posted 10 months agoToday is Ben Bigger's Birthday from Zenless Zone Zero. My personal favourite character and my main. So I hope everyone who loves that nerdy bear too shows him a lot of love on his special day. ^w^
Nintendo I think you dropped this.
Posted a year agoSeriously they dropped Xenoblade Chronicles X Definitive Edition like it was some change that fell out of their back pocket. At first I thought it was some fan made video on a fake youtube account, but no it was very real and I'm very happy I no longer have to hold that brick known as the Wii U game pad. I'll probably be playing it for the rest of my life since it's 95% side quests and 5% story.
I hate Timezones.
Posted a year agoI finally have the chance to try my hand at DnD only to find out it starts at 3am... when I'm asleep. I knew something like this would happen. If I could erase one thing in life it would be timezones because you constantly miss out on stuff when all your other friends are having a great time meanwhile your asleep because you need to sleep.
Read Juuou To Yakusou!
Posted a year agoI'm still only on the first chapter, and I love Garon. He's a demon of the lion clan, and making a pact with him forces you to do whatever he commands. He's perfect for art, and I hope people eventually start drawing Garon.
Back
Posted a year agoThat was a few scary days I'm glad everything is back up again. I'm sure the FA owners more far more stressed out than I was, but either way it was still rather scary.
Zenless Zero
Posted a year agoI recently started trying Zenless Zero. I usually don't touch Free to play, but something drew me to this one... cough Ben Bigger cough, but so far it's been pretty fun, the combat is interesting enough and it's not too hard, but I really just want to get to story 2 chapter 1 because apparently that's when you unlock Ben Bigger as a Playable character and I really want to play as that big burr. I think you only have to spend IRL money if you want to buy the really good stuff and new characters, the Gacha mechanic doesn't looks so bad though, because it seems like there's only a small selection of characters you can pull from like every week, so you can always wait until character you like pops up and just try to get them, there's still chance you won't though and I probably won't use this feature, because I only plan on playing the main story, but so far it's pretty fun for a free to play game.
Another year older
Posted a year agoWell today I'm 34 and you maybe wondering what special plans do you have for your birthday? The answer is... Play Paper Mario Thousand Year door for switch most of the day, because I have been dying to play the remake ever since it came out and I held off on getting it because my birthday was coming up, so yeah just a relaxing birthday, that's how I like them, just relaxing and having fun. That's all you need for a great Birthday.
Character Review: Vladimir Gryzlikoff
Posted a year agoVladimir Gryzlikoff is a Character from the Darkwing Duck series He's a Brown bear that works for as the Number 1 agent at S.H.U.S.H on top of that he's the chief who helps to train new members of S.H.U.S.H.
Gryzlikoff personality is that of someone who lives and dies by the rules that are set for them. He will always follow the S.H.U.S.H rules and will never stray from them, which is why he's not fond of Darkwing Duck, who is far more wreckless and doesn't really follow any rules.
The first impression Gryzlikoff gave me was suspicious. Since his boss had just been kidnapped by Ammonia Pine. Instead, I want to immediately save J. Gander he was doing a rather slow investigation, and the whole day had passed since J. Gander's abduction. Darkwing Duck wanted to rescue J. Gander immediately, but Gryzlikoff didn't want the hero involved since he couldn't stand how DW would act. Gryzlikoff eventually decided to test Darkwing Duck in an obstacle course, which looked more like a death trap, and for some reasons he had lots of alligators, which just increased my suspicions about the bear. As well as the fact that Gryzlikoff would also lose his temper whenever DW was doing well at the course.
Eventually Gryzlikoff reluctantly accepted DW's help which he instantly regreted as both DW and Launchpad screwed up the stake out, causing Gryzlikoff to kick DW from the investigation and telling DW if he intfered any further he'd be arrested. By the end of the episode, Gryzlikoff also got captured by Ammonia Pine after he tried to arrest DW, and he ended up having to be saved too.
Gryzlikoff second major episode was by far his best one. The episodes felt like it was far more about him than DW, and it really showed how intelligent Gryzlikoff really is as him and J. Gander came up with to take down Steelbeak by giving DW control over the other members of. S.H.U.S.H. and have Gryzlikoff leave and work as double agent for a short time, where he would eventually take down Steelbeak. It feels like the only win Gryzlikoff is ever going to get, but it's a good win.
Gryzlikoff final major episode had him stuck on an island with DW as they were tasked with taking down Steelbeak, this episode was sort of him and DW bonding a bit in order to take down Steelbeak. They did sort of become "Friends." I'm using the word friends very loosely. It was still an ok episode, though.
Gryzlikoff was in some other episodes, but he had a very minor role, and even in the comics, he doesn't do much other than get mad at DW. I feel like there's a lot more that could be done with a character like Gryzlikoff because I see him as a character with a lot of potential and I hope they give him another time to shine even if it's in the comics, because I doubt were getting a Darkwing Duck Reboot show anytime soon and I want Gryz to ahow people he's not juat some side character he's S.H.U.S.H'a number 1 agent and chief.

R.I.P Akira Toriyama
Posted a year agoIt's sad to hear that he's gone and Although Dragon Ball wasn't the first Anime I saw, it was still the first Battle Shounen I was introduced to it was the first ever thing I saw that was like super violent to me at the time, characters were dying and my little kid brain was losing it, because it was the coolest show I'd ever seen and I think it's thanks to Dragon Ball that I was attracted to stuff like One Piece and Naruto and I might love these shows as much as I do now if it wasn't for something like Dragon Ball, so thank you Akira for allowing me and many others grow up with such an amazing series, you will never be forgotten and Dragon Ball and Dragon Quest will continue to live on through the many fans you've created over your many years of hard work. Rest in Peace.
Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth first thoughts
Posted a year agoI spent most of yesterday playing Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth and... IT'S AMAZING! I feel like the demo didn't do this game justice. I mean the demo was fun, but the Junon area was very limited and there wasn't much to do, but once you leave Kalm there is just this massive open area and it is beatiful,I spent most of the day yesterday just exploring it wasn't until much later that I made any progress and I've only really just gained access to side quests and all the other optional stuff, so it looks like I'll be staying on chapter 2 much longer than I originally thought I would.
Then there is the card game, Queen's Blood it's not the kind of card game I thought it would be. I was expecting it to be more like the card game from FF8 and 9, but it plays very differently. You have a deck of 15 cards, and the aim of the game is to claim as much territory as you can so you can place more cards down, but you can't just play any card you want. Each card has a rank from 1 to 3 and you need to use your lower rank cards to boost the level of the nearby area, some cards have abilities though I haven't really got many cards yet there is a Mu card in the starting deck can boost how much one of your other cards are worth by two. The other thing you need to know is each row is deivided into a set of points and if you lose any rows the points you have will not count towards your end score, my current strategy has to been to hit hard, but I know this won't work for ever and I'm probably going to get more addicted to this card game as the main game goes on.
So overall at this moment I'd rate FF7 Rebirth a 10/10 it's definitely a must play game that gives me Xenoblade chronicles vibes from from the open world, so if your interested I definitely recommend giving it a go or at least try the demo.

Writing is hard
Posted 2 years agoI had all these plans for December and I was going to start uploading new chapters of POA weekly, but Chapter 26 has been incredibly slow to write, I basically restarted the whole chapter, because I wasn't enjoying how it was going and felt I was setting it up wrong, there are somethings I am going to keep in chapter 26, but the rest of it is in the trash because I just felt like I was hitting a brick wall and sometimes it's best to turn around and go a different way about it.
Baldur's Gate 3 Oops 0///0;
Posted 2 years agoSo I made my Character Agorok The Dragon born he was perfect! Everything I could have asked for, but after about 4 hours of playing, I noticed something... he was wearing female underwear. Turns out some idoit forgot to change the body type of their character to male... how was I supposed to know?! Anyway, now Agorok wears panties. Everything else about him is male, and I've just decided to role with it because it's DnD and weirder things have happened.
Final Fantasy 16 final thoughts
Posted 2 years agoFinal Fantasy 16 is an amazing games, though it those have it's flaws whilst the story is really strong it's problems mostly surround the side quests at first they are fun, but after awhile they get incredibly boring and some quests feel more like an extra cutscene instead of an actual quest, by the end of the game I found myself zoning out during the side quest cutscenes or turning to my phone to watch videos.
So whilst side quests get rather boring the story itself is really strong with really great character wnd by the end of the game I found myself crying, which rarely happens to me when I play games. My favourite character by far is Torgal, he's one of my favourite video game doggos.
My score for Final Fantasy 16 is a solid 8/10.

Burying the I
Posted 2 years agoFirst-person writing is a lot harder than I originally thought. When I wrote the first Chapter of Torn Briefs and Coffee, I found myself using I like a lot and recently I've been looking into youtube videos and examples to help improve my writing skills so there's been a lot of edits to Chapter 1 recently to help bury the I so it's not overused, so hopefully from chapter 2 owwards I'll continue to improve.
Exhausted
Posted 2 years agoIt's only been about a week since I got Nia and I'm already exhausted for taking care of her, I don't even remember my old cats having this much energy when they were kittens, she just flies around the house at what feels like Mach 2, I'm trying to be more stern with her, but it doesn't seem to work, she still doesn't know her name yet, and I feel so stressed, because I don't get to have much of a break, because my sister barely spents anytime with her and my parents can't chase after her, so I'm stuck on constant kitten watch and I just feel extremely exhausted. I've literally been going to bed later at night just so I can kick back and relax for a least 2 hours before I go to bed before repeating it all over again.
I can't help but feel Nia will hate me when she's older, since I'm constantly the one telling her off and keeping my eyes on her... I need a holiday.

POA VS Erwin's story
Posted 2 years agoWhilst writing both of these series, I've noticed a large difference in views and favourites. It doesn't really bother me because I already know why this difference is occurring.
Erwin's story is very episodic. It is a series where you don't need to read every other story to get what's going on in it. All you need to know is Erwin is a nerdy bear in college, and he gets bullied by a Komodo Dragon named Krave. Though there will be little stories in the future that will be two or three parts long, these stories will be special stories that give the characters some growth and open the series up, so I can move further into Erwin's life, because I also have ideas for Erwin's work life and that's something I'd really like to touch on. I won't stop doing his college life stories, though. I'll just be switching back and forward between his college life and his work life, depending on the kind of story I want to write.
Pirates of Avalon, on the other hand, is a series in which you need to read the previous chapters to understand what's going on, and I do really enjoy writing this series despite its lack in popularity, so it's understable why it wouldn't be getting as much attention because you need to take time out to read each and every chapter, but I glad the people who read it enjoy it. Lately the main crew hasn't been around, but they will be returning in the next few chapters and I'm looking forward to writing them again.

My new kitten Nia. ^w^
Posted 2 years agoRecently got my new cat. She's very beautiful, still not use to the rest of my family, but I think she's getting use to me, she was a sleep on my for awhile and now she's just sleeping next to me.
She's probably had a very stressful day and she hid when she first came home, but once we got her out of hiding she settled down now on my knee and now I'm in protective dad mode.

New Family Member
Posted 2 years agoI'm getting a new kitten this weekend. It's gonna feel weird having a young kitten around the house again after so long of having adult cats and no cats for a while. I'll have to make sure to play with her a lot so we get to have a bound.
I decided on calling her Nia after Nia from Xenoblade Chronicles 2. I was originally going to call her Mio, but I decided Nia sounds better.
I'm both excited and nervous. I just hope she's somewhat nice. I bet it will be weird for Nia, too. Moving into an unfamiliar, her siblings and parents won't be there, and she'll be around complete strangers. I'm sure it will be strange for her, but we'll give her the best life we can.

Tears of the Kingdom first impression
Posted 2 years agoThis game is amazing. I'm still only in the starting area, but I've spent 4 hours exploring and dying.
My favourite new ability is definitely fusion, just fusing Various things to your weapons and shields is fun. I was a bit disappointed by the fan shield that I made. I mean it works sort of like I though it would, but doesn't seem tobe as effective as I thought it was.
I spent a lot of time stuck on an icy mountain trying to get around, I didn't know there was a cave, butI'm glad I didn't go in there until later. I can't wait to explore the rest of the world and see how it's changed.
So far this game is definitely a 10/10.

Taking another break...
Posted 2 years agoToday has been a rough day for me wnd I'll be taking short break from writing. My other cat has to be put to sleep tomorrow because she's getting on in years. She's 21 years old and her kidneys are failing and I'm gonna need a bit of time to myself. It's not easy to go through this again. It's going to be strangely quiet without her around, she's a very vocal cat and she loves for everyone to hear her.
