Back from Germany
Posted 3 years agoWell what can I say, after two wonderful weeks of vacationing in Germany I’m back here again.
Here’s just a highlight of what I did.
After meeting up with my friend
in Dusseldorf we hit up a bunch of local landmarks, museums and castles. Which I did not know Germany had so many castles. Each one with their own unique beauty and charm.
We visited Kempen, Krefeld and Schloss Moyland castle. Got to visit Cologne and climb up into the Cathedral. Saw the Externsteine rock structure and Xanten Archaeological Park.
We traveled to Kassel, Heidelberg, Rothenberg, Muhlheim, Erfurt, Leipzig and Berlin. Visiting so many museums and historical structures along the way. Everyday spent on the move from one place to the next, taking it all in. We put in so many steps each day that we were exhausted by the end of the night.
Our final stop was Eurofurence which was a lot of fun. Got to meet a bunch of artists for the first time. Meet and make new friends. As well as pick up some fantastic art from the Art Show.
By the end of it all I didn’t want to go home. Almost teared up a bit when I had to say goodbye to my friend at the airport.
Overall it was a fantastic vacation and I'm extremely grateful for the whole experience.

Traveling to Eurofurence

After so many years of planning, things falling through and working my ass off none stop! I'm finally going to be able to fly to Europe.
Around this time next Saturday I'll be flying into Düsseldorf where I will be greeted by my friend and his wife.
From there we're going to be spending the next two weeks traveling and sight seeing before we end up in Eurofurence.
This will be my first time in Germany so I'm very excited to finally get this opportunity to enjoy myself and take it all in.
So if you see me there, do say hi.

New Years Resolution
Posted 3 years agoIn light of the new year I thought I’d share my plans for 2022.
Unfortunately I didn’t manage to get as many art projects done as I had originally planned. So first on the list is getting back to a few unfinished projects.
Beginning with a few comic and story illustrations.
Second, I want to focus on improving my anatomy skills in some of my newer projects.
Also going to try my hand on a sculpture or two.
Thankfully I had an opportunity to take a wonderful vacation down to Florida last year with two very good friends. I hope to go again sometime this coming spring and do some scuba diving and fossil hunting. There’s a company called Black Gold Craters that does fossil hunting at the bottom of the ocean that isn’t too expensive.
Of course if international travel starts to improve I’d like to make it down to Germany this coming summer. I had plans to go in 2020 but that didn’t work out as you all know.
It will be a lifelong dream to finally make it down there and spend time with some very good friends.
Here's hoping for a better brighter year!

Broken Cintiq
Posted 4 years agoSo some time ago my Cintiq Companion has stopped functioning. Spent the past week examining the problem and most likely it's a burnt out circuit in the motherboard.
So unfortunately it will be sometime before I can work on any digital art.
Sad to say I don't know what I can do about fixing or replacing it.

What happened to Dr Comet?
Posted 5 years agoI was first introduced in the fandom 2006 and although I took to it quickly it wasn't until I saw Dr Comet's art that I really immersed myself into the lifestyle.
I've always been a big admirer of his work. Not just for the lewd content but for the natural and care free expressionism in his characters. My very first sketch commission was in fact by Dr Comet.
Recently I've gone to got back to doing some color work to my Dr Comet sketch. As well as doing some personalized background edits to one of my favorites of his that he left unfinished. I would very much like to share the work that I've done, with his permission of course.
I know that he kinda secluded his work to Japan after people were using Bitturrent to steal his work. However from what I can tell he seems to have gone dark these past couple of years.
Does anyone really know what happened to him or if he's even still around?

Posted 6 years agoSo recapping my adventure to BareFurCon 2019.
Wednesday I flew down to Georgia where I met up with Tygepc and drove down to my good friends
and 
. We had dinner, chatted and spend the night at their place.
Thursday morning we all set out on our road trip to Lake Como Florida, stopping at Geocache sites along the way.
We stet up camp at the Lake Como Nudist Resort Thursday evening with two of our other members Ben & Liz.
Other than the fluctuating rain patterns we had a fun time at the resort. We played games, join in group seminars, sat around the camping fire chatting and making smore's.
Come Saturday we left a bit early but we made up the time with some wonder social time and board games with our friends.
But alas it all had to end. I returned home feeling refreshed and in good spirits, ready to get back to my art and eagerly waiting for the next BareFurCon.

Back from Thailand!
Posted 7 years agoWell I am finally back from my vacation in Thailand.
Let me some up what went on. My brother and I spent the first week in Bangkok traveling the streets seeing the local stores and sights. I got to tell you food venders are everywhere and it's really cheap. Lots of good food and their fruit is much better tasting than any I've had. We ate so much fruit that we rarely had a craving candy.
Later that week we drove out to a national park and hiked into an area with some of the most beautiful waterfalls. Also when you put your feet into the water these little fish come and suck on your toes.
After the first week my Brother and I met up with his local friend Kyle whom we spent the next few weeks traveling with. We flow down to Krabi. There we spent the next couple of days on a speed boat tour of the tropical islands. We spent time at the beaches, hiked the mountain ranches and snorkeled in the coral reefs. Also had a chance to hit some Geocaching their. :)
Afterwards we flew back and traveled east towards Cambodia. We stopped at an Elephant farm, saw a show and rode the Elephants. Getting in to Cambodia and spending time there was not the greatest experience however. Everything their is overly priced and turns out they will charged you more if you're using Thai Baht instead of USD. Something that never came up in the travel guide. We spent a whole day visiting the 7th wonder of the world, Angkor Wat ruins. Seeing the ruins were amazing however we were constantly plagued by aggressive store venders and beggars. Which by the way Cambodia has a law against tourist giving or buying anything from the children. So as great as the ruins were one day was all I could handle of those people.
The final week we flew into Chiang Mai, we rented some motor bikes and rode up into the mountains. We saw the monk temples and visited the some mountain villages. Saw a snake charming show and got to cuddle with some very big tigers at a big cat sanctuary. Afterwards we attended the water festival where everyone throws water on each other.
Finally flying back to Bangkok for one last day of shopping and preparations to fly home.
All and all it was a very enjoyable and remember able trip. However both of us were thinking 3 weeks may have been too long. After 2 weeks we pretty much ready to go back. Plus traveling with Kyle was a pain.
I'm happy to say nothing in Thailand made made sick, no it was the in flight meal on the way back. Word of advice, don't ever have the chicken meal.
I'm happy to be back though and ready to finish some projects and play catch up.
Expect Iron Artist openings within the next week.

Posted 7 years agoSo starting March 27th I'll be flying to Thailand for a much needed 3 week vacation.
I'll be flying with my brother who speaks the language and we'll be traveling with some of his local friends. We're going to spent most of our in Thailand with a quick stop into Cambodia and South Korea. Just gonna take in the wonderful sites, culture and FOOD.
Obviously during this time I will not be taking commissions and will most likely be unreachable until my return April 18th.
I will however be opening commissions again shortly after my return. To help recover costs during my time away. I plan on opening a batch of Iron Artist Sketches after my return. So keep on eye on that towards the end of April.

Posted 8 years agoFirstly I want to thank all of you personally for supporting my story "The Hunters & Gatherers". The past 2 years working on this project has been a fun and rewarding undertaking. A personal thanks to rhazzazor for his inspiring writing skills whom helped make this project possible.
If any of you hasn't had the chance and would like to read it, please see the link below.
For those of you whom have enjoyed reading it and want to see more will hopefully get that chance. As I would like to announce the possible release of a 3rd installment.
When rhazzazor and I first started working on "the Hunters & Gatherers" part 2, we originally envisioned an additional ritual scene that would of taken part after page 8. However due to the overall length of the story we decided to cut it from the final production. After receiving all the wonderful comments and questions in regards to the characters future. I've decided to reintroduce the cut scene as a new and additional 3rd installment to the series.
With the help of my friend Kalahari, we've expanded the original idea and came up with a new and thrilling take on the story. This new story will be an all female cast, featuring Awenita, Dyani and Koira along with a new head character role. There will also be included additional female characters featured from the previous story. However instead of full color illustrations, this time I'm going to be illustrating black & white semi comic images along with a written narrative.
I know there are a few of you who were hoping for another chance at Awenita so I decided to offering one last YCH with Awenita as a prologue to part 3. Entries for that will appear shortly.

There will be 3 YCH slots for a background appearance. The opening bid will be for $10 each and will be a full color illustration. Bidding ends 72 hours from opening.
Rules:
In order to stay true to the written story there will be some limitations to mammal/predator characters.
Any canine species.
