Thoughts on commissions?
Posted 13 years ago..........Well since the option of getting job has put me on the waiting list for a bit I thought I'd ask everyone their thoughts on me trying to do commission? I know its probably a bit of a stretch to try taking commissions but I figured taking maybe 5 or 10 dollar commissions could help pay for things around the house and survive through out the weeks since money is really tight with family. Anyways I would like to ask everyone's opinions on me trying commissions and who would actually want commissions from me? Depending on what everyone says I start coming up with prices worth my skill level right now which mean the highest might be 10 but if everyone feels I'm not ready for it and nobody is interested in commissions from me yet then I'll just keep sharpening my studies and practices on art, anatomy, and digital art etc.

when i draw on a paper it feels like i can't get any detail in it and sometimes the body parts still look pretty flat to look at. I normally draw things small so a entire body can fit on a page but when im done a picture it feels like I only used 25% of the paper. I also use a circle grid thingy for faces but when i'm drawing the face i keep having trouble with making the circle big enough for eyes,hair,and nose (sometimes) in digital i barely see this problem since i can adjust the size of anything on there. But what I'm wondering is how big exactly should a picture be? Does making a bigger picture help adding better details? those questions just was on my mind ^ ^ I would really like anyones opinion on this question.

Trip from the doctors with a chance of "pride"

I went to the doctors and was told alot of good things and very happy to know that I have grown alittle taller I went from 5'6 to 5'8 and my weight is 180 exactly from the last visit it was 178 but the nurse lady said its probably cause I ate a big breakfast. As of now I'm only 10 pounds over in my BMI thingy so I'm still overweight just barely so now armed with tips and tricks to lose weight quickly from my doctor I'm on my way to working off this weight even more and reach my goal weight of "160 and under" and my doctor was funny she was like "you don't seem like your overweight at all you look very nice at your current weight and the girls would love it." I told her "Yeah but what about the guys." She was like "All you would need is a rainbow colored anything and you'll have a boyfriend fast." It's strange how an year ago I never thought there wasn't a single gay,bi,lesbian anywhere in Philadelphia but now it seems I see another gay,bi,lesbian around me everywhere I look. It makes me happy to see how many people could be so open about being "GLBT". These people inspires me more and more to start expressing my feminine side a lot more often It sucks trying to force myself to fit in with everyone knowing some will or won't accept me for it. I'm proud for the way I am and taking that side of me wouldn't be me at all it would just be what everyone wants me to be. I'm sure even if maybe 1 or 2 don't like me for it I know at least my true friends and true family bonds will and thats all that matters.

Need advice or tutoring.

I know some people think I'm getting alittle better with drawing and stuff but my enemy right now is coloring >< it hates me and the way my coloring looks feels so blah and no feeling to it or well thats just how i feel anyway. I know a lot of artists out there on FA probably don't like to tell all there secrets or tricks or but I would really love to learn something from other artists out there It doesn't have to be any special tricks and stuff I really just like to understand some basics alittle like
-Shading
-Flat coloring
-highlighting
-Adding a fur effect
-Backgrounds (maybe)
-A better cleaner linning method
I dont even know if anybody is gonna be willing to teach me anything but it's worth a shot trying to ask well atleast I think so anyway. I so far I learned a few tiny stuff from the generous Sai or photoshp files i was given from some people but still its a little hard trying to understand the layers with no one to explain them fully. Friend in trouble and need of support (Update)

he has told me that the infection he has caught was in fact very deadly and could have killed him thankfully he has gotten to the hospital and now has to take a variety of doses to keep the infection from killing him and can't miss a single dose of his treatment. Thank yew everyone who has given soubiglowheart your support and I hope everyone continues to give him support and be sure yell at him to take those pills everyday on time. He's has so much to live for and I'll be darn if I'll lose him *tears up* we promised eachother to become very great artist and be successful in any other goals along the way and I will never give up on him.

Japanese Crazy anime fighting game

Maybe I'm a little late to the game but oh my god "Ougon Musou Kyoku" is the most coolest pc fighting game i played so far. I just found a download for it and now testing it out and needless to say impressed with how crazy the combo system is in this game. I had to have got my butt kicked around 20 times already and won aleast 7 of the 20 but its still fun to me cause I like games for their difficulty ^ ^. If anyone is curious about this game I'm sure there are videos on youtube and i might stream me playing it and give out the links of where i got it in the stream if anyone wants to play also the one thing i didn't expect "online play" yup a game that you can play online with anyone from any pc user ^ ^ and this game has a crap load of expansions and updates i didn't install them yet but i might do that later since with the expansions and updates there will be alot of new characters and move sets to it but i wanna learn the basics first. ^ ^

Gonna give it a shot
Posted 13 years agoI noticed a few people have been calling me a artist lately and saying they like my "art" and "style" Im still confused about that cause i don't really know what my art or style is really but I like to think yew all for the nice comments lately. My first few months being here I was ultra scared and nervous but I'm trying to feel a little comfortable here. Also i dunno why but drawing just those two adult pictures has made me wanna draw more adult pictures but I kinda don't know much about adult pictures poses and stuff but I'm open to ideas and working on some pictures i owe to a few people but i dont mind adding a few more. ^ ^ please ask me if you like to have a picture or pictures. Also since my job hunting is kinda going terrible so I'm thinking about trying commission but I want to know from others about if I should wait till I'm a bit better before I try that.

Planning for the future :3
Posted 13 years agoEllo everyone who reads this journal I thought maybe i would do a simple journal saying thank yew for supporting me so much >///< I really love drawing and the support helped me improve so much more than i ever thought would be possible after a short while drawing and I will continue to draw forever till the end of time. X3
Anyways I wanted to talk about my plans for the future *claps* well for those who know or don't know I'll in my senior year of high school and slowly nearing the end of my graduation day which is what I just found out june 13 and I'm so excited >< also i been asked to make the year book cover which kinda makes me nervous and i might post the cover and my graduation picture on FA the day after. Also I'm trying to get a job anything would do actually but I'm hoping for a job with games ^ ^. I also been starting to put in my college info pray for me cause its gonna be rough trying to get in college.
On a more fur related future I plan on doing more pictures for everyone but please if anyone want a picture from me please comment on this journal or note me. I will do anything from full body,half, or icon or maybe a ref sheet depending on if I'm free enough to do it and most of the time i should be :3 also its not required but If anyone wants to I wouldn't mind a gift (art,song,poem,story) of kuro just as long as its not an adult picture. Oh yeah! about adult and mature pictures I'm looking to try drawing those kinda pictures on often so please if you want a picture of that kind please ask but if you want kuro in the picture I only do adult or mature picture of me with others if i feel comfortable with the person aka friends.

I know this may sound dumb or weird but I want to make true friends.
But I suck at making them or knowing if i even have some friends in the furry world but it seems hard to chat or get the nerve to say anything to anyone and never know what to say cause i just don't wanna be mean or have anyone be mean to me because i say i wanna be friends to furs that don't know me. So i dunno im just looking for advice on anyway to make true friends in the fur world? Cause I like to make lots a friends and I'm pretty friendly to everyone.

I mean I have three characters but everytime I say "this is my fursona" i never feel fully proud or complete about it and its always something i'm nip-picky about with them and I can't find out why even kuro who was before everything fur related i didnt feel right about using. I feel sad alittle that I can't decide on something like this when i see so many others and everyone feels at peace with their fursona. I wish i could just think it up and forget it like *snap* that but something feels missing i dunno what this something is but it started bugging me since yesterday evening and now its all thats running thru my head I even got the idea to combine the features i liked from kota, scion, and kuro and make a whole new thing that i will be showing in a bit later after I scan it but it just looks a bunny with big paws and skunkish fur and kota's glowing feature. and Im not even sure if its right or should I kill it with fire but i guess when I post it everyone can decide that little fusion later. I dunno maybe I just feeling creative or something but its bugging me.To every or any fur please comment to this was creating the fursona you know and love this hard or gave you a big fuss and how long did it take to think up your species? I really would like to know.

My favorite animals are skunks ,dogs , raccoons , and rabbits ^ ^

I'm currently going as bi. I like everyone and anyone tho im more of a personality than looks person ^ ^ but I do kinda like boys more.
I live in Philadelphia , PA
Ummmmmm I tend to be a very emotionally driven person I put emotion in everything because I'm very shy so I rather like showing feeling thru art or other things. I try to stay as positive as I can thru any situation so I'm very open to everything but I'm really shy so I might say "not sure" or "i dunno" to most things do to lack of understanding. I love asking or answering questions tho I'm extremely curious about everything and always love meeting new people and making friends. Well i think i should tell a little about how I found the fur community well it was last year the day after my 17th birthday and I was looking up a picture of something I think it was tails because I'm a tails fan ^ ^ and then i found a strange picture of tails on a site called "fchan" I noticed the site had comments saying "furry" or "furries" in it so i google'd "furries" and found wikifur but then was happy after finding out all the facts and found FA and since the artist on here and got me wanting to draw my own fursona. My first ever fursona before joining FA my first fursona was "Kuro" a kitty and skunk mix but drawing him was extremely hard at the time and when i started learning to draw I learned drawing dog faces was way easier to draw so after learning to draw alittle I made a new "drawable" fursona sky a 2 tailed fox and then i got confused cause it wasn't exactly what i wanted so I made kota the husky/fox/shiba mix since a dog at the time wasn't what i wanted be after joining but eventually i got better any drawing him so i stuck with it regardless ^ ^ but that doesn't mean i dont like kota i love him but i wish to draw out kuro and use him as my sona too. Ummmmm i dunno what else to write about myself really if anyone want to know anything else about me I will gladly tell anyone and I would love to make friends with everyone and all of you.

Posted 13 years agoUmmmmm okay so I like drawing alot but for reasons I don't even know it feels like I am in an have it then lost it kinda feeling. Also kinda wondering if anyone who likes my art or me in general would give me a little bit of a feedback.
1. What kind of style does my art resemble? (toony,realistic,anime, etc.)

A Leap of faith
Posted 13 years agoI guess sometimes in life it takes just enough BS to happen just so we realise the other choices and ideas we're scared to admit or knows where those choices lead. I been sitting around laughing and giggling when outside with the few friends i have but without noticing I quickly changed when i get home. I even when as far to join club after club just to what i keep telling myself was just "keeping busy" but now I see that isn't wasn't just to keep busy it's because I'm too scared to face my dad. And that fears been eating at me for far too long now. I don't wanna place blame but I think this is why I'm so nervous around people cause I'm scared that someone is gonna act like how my dad is.I never was this way when my mom was around and I'm sure where ever she is watching me far. Would want me to happy and joyful and for the right reasons not just cause I'm away from my dad. He changed me in other ways to I'm normally hardly ever angry or hit friends unless its meant as a joke but some friends said they think my punch or shove had some power behind it and even cursing out one of my best friends out off nowhere after he said one little joke . I don't want to hurt my friends and don't want to lose them either the few I have are very nice and accepting of me and my weird self and I love them all and I'm gonna take a leap of faith to see if me and my dad can do counseling or have a real good talk 1 on 1 and get all this bad blood out of our systems. I understand this might end up good or bad but it's time I took a chance and change this hate before I cut my dad out my life forever.

Posted 14 years agoWell lately i been feeling blah at drawing. Granted my lack of skill and abillty to form a circle correctly I feel i can do way better and i haven't done much with my tablet either so when my dad gets the scanner working which would be tomorrow or the day after.I'll try to put out picture after picture just for practice probably random sketches and doodles ^ ^ i dunno just feel like doing random stuff. If I feel unsure about the picture I'll post it to my scraps but if i like it i'll post it to my gallary either way im doing this mostly for feedback,guidence,and confindence since i really need some when it comes to drawing I don't mind if any one wants to rage on all the stuff i did wrong heck im hoping for it.Like i said im looking forward to it and hoping to get better at drawing from it. ^ ^

Anime,Games and Teachers!? o.O
Posted 14 years agoI was bored so I'd thought i'll make a journal just to tell what I'm doing this summer.Well then I got the most boring thing in the world yup summer school but who cares i needed the help anywayz but on to the fun part ^ ^ my birthday is coming up Im way too excited and I been getting hints of a wacom tablet being ordered even though im not good at drawing yet if I get that tablet *drools* ummmmmm anywayz.I also been looking for anime to watch over the summer recently i have been watching air gears OVA and hitman reborn.On with the games so far I have played a total of........zero -_- new games I honestly have no idea whats out thats good right now i mostly play fighters and rpg games but the only game I seen that i want is street fighter X tekken and let me be clear street fighter X (kick twice as much butt bare fisted) TEKKEN >.< also im looking forward to cathrine which is somewhat around my birthday...I think.Well to finsh this journal that probably put anyone who reading this to sleep Im planing to play way more games and watch tons more anime and if anyone know some good games or anime I'll gladly check them out ^ ^ thanks you 4 listening.
