CALL: volunteers for brief therapy and hypnosis wanted
Posted 10 years agoHi,
I'm looking to develop my skills in coaching, brief therapy and hypnotherapy. I'm trained but I lack practice. To address that, I'm looking for people who would be willing to allow me to work with them.
The kind of work I'm considering:
- generative changes: things you do already that you'd like to improve
- minor issues: things you'd like to fix and change in your life but that are not any sort of serious or major trauma
- e.g. procrastination, habits, phobias, minor stress, sleep issues, ...
I will work with different approaches, hypnosis being only one of them. You have to understand this is practice too. Though I will do my best to get the result for you, I expect to learn along the way.
Hence, I won't address anything more serious like:
- any family or relationship related issue
- any major trauma (abuse, ...)
- medium and stronger depression
- anything for which you are already receiving medical treatment
It is not that those things cannot be worked on but I don't feel my skills and the conditions in which we will interact will allow me to do a good enough job in a safe way for you. I'd recommend you seek qualified experienced professional help if you want to address this kind of issues.
I'm also interested by people who are curious and who'd like to participate in simple hypnosis experiments. This is mainly for me to practice guiding different people into trance. There won't be any specific intent beyond that.
My time is unfortunately scarce and I don't want to create false expectations. I will do it at the pace I can afford and I retain the right to pick up those I work with, to stop at any time or fire those that would not be serious.
I won't charge for this but I believe in the fair exchange of value and my aim is also to do something valuable for those participating. Motivation is an important factor so if you are willing to do something in exchange, that's a plus.
You have to have a mic and a webcam and be willing and able to do video chat.
If you're interested, have questions or you are just curious, drop me a note and we can discuss more.
Pilou.

Cartoonists slaughtered
Posted 10 years agoAs you might know on Wed 7th in Paris, 2 terrorists have entered
the Charlie Hedbo newspaper offices and slaughtered 12 peoples
with a machine gun.
What's beyond words is that that murdered cartoonists.
http://www.buzzfeed.com/maryanngeor.....sts#.pfpw86P6X
I hardly can find words to convey how sad and revolted that makes
me feel. This is not an attack against a country, this is an attack
against free speech.
I can hardly conceive how pathetic someone has to be when they
have to use machine guns to silence pencils.
I believe free speech is a fundamental value that had to be earned
at a high cost. It cannot be that we let it being threatened. I'd like
to call all who believe as much to relay the message and express
their opinion, especially artists as it is peers that have been murdered
for drawing their ideas.

CALL: volunteers for brief therapy and hypnosis wanted
Posted 11 years agoHiya,
As you might have noted (or not), I don't write much. This is also not babyfur related.
I'm looking to develop my skills in coaching, brief therapy and hypnotherapy. I'm trained but I lack practice. To address that, I'm looking for people who would be willing to allow me to work with them.

- e.g. procrastination, habits,...
I will work with different approaches, hypnosis being only one of them. You have to understand this is practice too. Though I will do my best, I expect to learn from my mistakes ^^
Hence, I won't address anything more serious like:
- any family or relationship related issue
- any major trauma (abuse, ...)
- depression
It is not that those things cannot be worked on but I don't feel my skills and the conditions in which we will interact will allow me to do a good enough job in a safe way for you. I'd recommend you seek qualified experienced professional help if you want to address this kind of issues.

I'm running this as a test to see the level of interest. Based on feedback, I will decide how to proceed. If you're interested or mainly curious, just drop me a note and we can discuss more.

Peronality test - for those who are curious
Posted 14 years agoFor those who want to know a bit about me
I finally gave in and did that test too. I am always curious about those things. I believe the results are rather accurate even if they seem to focus more on the good side ^^

Creative
You are good at solving problems, coming up with original ideas, and seeing connections between things, connections that most other people miss. People with a high score on the "creative" trait often are employed in such fields as finance and scientific research, and enjoy avant garde and classical music as well as literary fiction and scholarly non-fiction.
You do not shun abstractions and concepts in favor of the concrete and tangible.
Competent
You strive to master everything you undertake. You tend to learn quickly and do not shy away from challenges.
You are not a "que sera sera" type of person, nor do you go easy on yourself when attempting to master a new skill or get a job done.
Astute
You are a quick study. You generally don't need to have things explained to you more than once. When presented with a problem, you will often have an instant understanding of where to look for the solution.
You do not take your sweet time when presented with a new task to complete or problem to solve. You don't avoid assignments that require you to learn new skills.
Intellectual
You are thoughtful, rational, and comfortable in the world of ideas. People find you interesting to talk to. You're the living embodiment of the saying "You learn something new every day." In general, those with a high score on the "intellectual" trait are employed in such fields as teaching and research, and are enthusiastic about reading, foreign films, and classical music.
You do not avoid abstract conversation, experimenting with new ideas, or studying new things. It bores you to stick to the straight and narrow of what you already know.
Curious
You like to get to the bottom of things. You're not content knowing what someone did; you want to know why they did it.
You don't simply take things as they are and move on; you're not content skimming along on the surface; you don't feel you're wasting time by digging for the meaning of things.
Understanding
You are willing to take the time to find out what's going on with other people, especially if they're in distress. You're a good listener, you don't criticize, and you offer unbiased, respectful, honest advice when it's requested. With a high score on the "understanding" trait, it is likely that you are enthusiastic about charitable work, helping others, and making the world a better place.
You don't feel the need to impose your standards on others or say things that, even though true, cause pain.
Original
You are constantly coming up with new ideas. For you, the world as it exists is just a jumping-off place; what's going on inside your mind is often more interesting than what's going on outside.
You don't feel that the road to success is to be a realist and stick to the program; you never stop yourself from coming up with new ideas or telling the world what you're thinking about.
Solitary
You are a private person, not very comfortable in a big group, and view excessive socializing as a waste of time.
You not prefer hanging out with others to spending time alone; you do not tend to feel at home in a crowded room, club, stadium, or auditorium.
Innovative
You come up with a lot of ideas; if one doesn't work out, there's always another waiting in the wings. You often have interesting solutions to difficult problems. You're practically a one-person brainstorming session.
You are less interested changing the world than in dealing with things as they are. Unlike those who spend all their time trying to solve problems, you prefer to zero in on things that work and stick with them.
Warm
You have a genuine interest in other people. You're a natural host, and are always thinking about how you can increase the happiness of those around you. When friends have problems or are in trouble, you're usually the first person they turn to for aid and comfort. Scoring high on the "warm" trait suggests that you are among those who enjoy domestic activities — doing things around the house — and are enthusiastic about charitable work, helping others, and making the world a better place.
You don't always say exactly what you're thinking; you don't like the idea of causing anyone pain because of your criticism.
I finally gave in and did that test too. I am always curious about those things. I believe the results are rather accurate even if they seem to focus more on the good side ^^
