Lackadaisy!
Posted 2 years agoHOT DAMN! It's here and it's beautiful!
I really hope Miz Tracy and Iron Circus can actually sell somebody on this. We damn well deserve a good, regular Lackadaisy series on Adult Swim or somewhere.

Holy crap! An animated version of "The Dream of a Thousand Cats"? Christmas came early, and I must've been a good boy!

NO ESCAPE.

Posted 3 years agoHealth issues, creative problems and a local heat wave have brought production on my pending webcomic to a crawl. We're looking at late July or early August for the big debut, probably. I'll keep at it and do what I can do. Tixi would have my hide if I did anything less.
Better Off Red
Posted 3 years agoFinally sat down with Turning Red tonight and very much enjoyed it. It's cute, sweet, visually snappy, and very much worth your time. It's also going to be another one of those "touchstone" movies for future generations of Furry Fans, mark my words.
Getting Up To Speed
Posted 3 years agoI think I have a good working rhythm going. I'm still mulling over places and formats to present it. And I want to build up a few weeks backlog of strips before I start. I'm thinking History will be good to go in early June. Wish me luck...
Keep On Singin'
Posted 4 years agoHaving just come from the theater, I'm happy to report that Sing 2 is every bit as fun, upbeat and sweet-natured as the first film. The story is silly fun, the characters remain lovable, and the design and animation seem a bit more ambitious this time around. It's a somewhat showier and better-looking movie than the first. If you liked the first one as much as I did, you'll have a good time with this one. And if you've never seen the first one, please, give it a try. I know it seemed like sort of a weak sister to Zootopia when it came out, but it does have it's own special charm. There's furry fun to be had here.
The Bad Guys
Posted 4 years agoOkay, I was unaware of this, but it looks interesting:
Is it just me, or is there a funky sort of Lupin III air about this? In any case, I'm intrigued enough that I'll probably end up going to the theater for it.

Silence of the Doggehs
Posted 4 years agoHeya! If you haven't already, y'all need to take a look at look at Stray Dogs, a new miniseries from Image Comics. It's a weird, gritty crime drama with a cast of Disney-esque talking dogs, kinda like if Oliver and Co. were written by Thomas Harris. It is genuinely amazing. The story is creepy and riveting, the characters are engaging, and the art is downright gorgeous. It's the best furry comic I've seen in years, no lie. Uncle Puppy says check it out!

Rocket J. Squirrel has had enough of your crap. Lord, but I love these old "Men's Adventure" mags!

Burr!
Posted 5 years agoDamn, but Smokey's looking unusually cut and hot on this cover. There's a reason the slang term is "bear", right?
Don't mind me, I'm bored.

Okay, Go Watch This. NOW.
Posted 6 years agoIt is lovely, it is funny, it is smart. It's like some sweet, crazed Dr. Seuss version of Planes, Trains and Automobiles. Whatever else you have on your Netflix queue can wait. Da Puppy says watch!
Robert Downey Jr. is...Doctor Dolittle?
Posted 6 years agoHere's another definitely furry film I wasn't aware of. I need to pay more attention to the movie news. Looks to me like Downey is trying to channel Gene Wilder's Willy Wonka, all arch and enigmatic. That's good. And it certainly looks pretty. Might be fun.

Wings
Posted 6 years agoI love how much short animation is available on YouTube. Everybody puts their student projects up there, and some of them are gems.
Hee!
Posted 6 years agoOkay, go to the main page of Google. Look up "thanos". Click on the little Infinity Gauntlet icon on the right of the page. Watch what happens.
Jellicle Cats Come Out Tonight!
Posted 6 years ago...
This is so damn loopy, it's beautiful. I think I might very well love this even if nobody else does. I've done that before with other movies.
And kitty Rebel Wilson gives me funny feelings in my pants, Mommy.
Another Sign of the Furry Apocalypse!
Posted 6 years agoFor those who don't know, Rabbit Valley has put Associated Student Bodies back into print, in a nice, affordable TPB. It is a furry classic (albiet a little dated and problematic about some stuff...) and worth your time. Boy, I'm glad these things are coming out when I have the money for them.
APT - Armored Personnel Turtle!

Posted 6 years agoSomebody finally officially put Animalympics on Region 1 DVD! Isn't that one of the signs of the Apocalypse? Why was I not informed?!
I'm Down With FPN
Posted 7 years agoHeh. I've had a single post with "female-presenting nipples" removed from my Tumblr. Apparently furry characters are not exempt, and the pic didn't meet whatever bullshit standards of artistically acceptable nudity they're alleging. I am more amused than annoyed.
Art Monitor Advice?
Posted 7 years agoLet's say I was contemplating the possibility of investing in a new tablet monitor come April or May, when I get my tax return. Anybody have any suggestions for an improvement over my lil' Yiynova MSP 19U? I understand that more brands have popped up, and prices have gone down a bit for decent stuff since I bought mine. If I was going to get one, I'd be looking for something with higher resolution, in the $400 -$500 range, and mulling over all the options on Amazon and other places has me a bit dizzy. Does anyone have any firsthand knowledge of something like what I'm looking for? Any recommendations? It's just thinking over for now, but any advice would be appreciated.
Kinda On Hiatus
Posted 7 years agoI remain computerless. I have also recently started my first full-time job in almost ten years. It will be a few months before I'm able to produce serious art again. It remains to be seen just how much and what kind of art I'll be producing. Time and energy are harder to find as I get older. I don't think I'm done just yet, but we'll see what we see. In any case, thanks for sticking by me.
So Yeah...
Posted 7 years agoI'm without a computer again, unable to pursue any serious art. Somebody somewhere may be trying to tell me something. Further updates as events warrant.
